how millions of peace-loving Christians would react if they saw a
subway advertisement during their morning commute showing cherry-picked
Bible quotes such as “I come not to bring peace, but a sword” (Matthew
10:34) or "I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it
were already kindled" (Luke 12:49-51), trying to wrongfully portray
Christianity as a religion of violence. I think it would be fair to say
that most fair-minded Americans would be able to see right through the
sinister veneer of these blatantly ridiculous advertisements. Now
imagine that we are talking about Islam instead of Christianity.Story continues below advertisement
Well, how would "millions of peace-loving Christians" feel? They would probably know that neither one of those verses is being taken by Christians today as a call to do violence to unbelievers. They would almost certainly know that there are no Christians anywhere in the world who are quoting New Testament (or Old Testament) verses to justify acts of violence against non-Christians. They would, if they were devout Christians, think back on what their priest or pastor might have said about such verses: that they were about putting Gd first and the divine judgment — no Christian leaders say that these verses mean that Christians should take up arms against non-Christians.
Contrast that to the quran verse that Arsalan Iftikhar of Hamas-CAIR says is "cherry-picked": "Soon shall we strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers" (3:151). There have been over 20,o00 Islamic terror attacks around the world since 9/11 (how many Christian terror attacks in that span?). Each one had the imprimatur of a Muslim cleric. Each one was justified by its perpetrators by this and other quran verses. If I am cherry-picking, so are the Muslims who are motivated by the quran to commit acts of violence against non-Muslims. But Arsalan Iftikhar, former National Legal Director of the Hamas-tied Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), doesn't have anything to say to them when they quote quran. He is only upset with me when I do.
Controversial anti-Muslim blogger Pamela Geller has just purchased new advertising space in several subway stations in the New York area so she can display her newest anti-Islam message. According to The New York Observer,
Geller’s latest slate of anti-Islam ads seem to “feature a panorama of
the sky the moment the World Trade Center burst into flames [on
September 11], accompanied by a quote from the Quran that reads ‘Soon
shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers.’” Geller is no
stranger to Islamophobia.

Geller
is clearly trying to cherry-pick a verse of the Quran out of context in
order to stoke anti-Muslim fears amongst ordinary Americans. First of
all, her cherry-picked quote from Quran 3:151 above actually refers to
the famous Battle of Badr, where the Prophet Muhammad had to defeat back
attacking pagan Arab idolaters. Most importantly, this verse (and most
other verses dealing with historical battles) refer to hostile pagan
idolaters who attacked Muslims and they do not refer to Christians or
Jews (who are referred to as “People of the Book” or Ahl Al-Kitab in Arabic) who all believe in the same monotheistic god of Abraham as Muslims believe.
This pseudo-analysis bamboozles many Americans, but think about it: Iftikhar, like many Islamic apologists, would have us believe that the quran's passages referring to warfare against unbelievers are limited to one long-gone historical context, and don't apply to modern times or modern non-Muslims. The obvious hole in this argument is that Muslims are using such verses to wage war against unbelievers today. And no Muslims are telling the Muslims who are waging jihad against unbelievers around the world today that the verses of the quran that they think command them to do so actually only refer to warfare against "hostile pagan idolaters" of the seventh century — least of all is Hamas-CAIR's Arsalan Iftikhar telling them this.
Geller recently
came to many Americans’ attention in September 2012 when she bought her
first round of anti-Muslim subway ads which stated, “In any war between
the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support
Israel. Defeat Jihad." The controversial advertisements were roundly
condemned by most people around the country, including by prominent national Jewish organizations who were quick to call out her Islamophobia.To
those like Geller who think that Islam is more of an ‘inherently
violent’ religion than other major world religions, Professor Philip
Jenkins, author of the book Jesus Wars, once said during a March 2010 interview with National Public Radio (NPR) that, "By
the standards of the time, which is the 7th century A.D., the laws of
war that are laid down by the Quran are actually reasonably humane." He
continued: "Then we turn to the Bible, and we actually find something
that is for many people a real surprise. There is a specific kind of
warfare laid down in the Bible which we can only call
genocide." Professor Jenkins even went so far as saying during his March
2010 NPR interview that, "Much to my surprise, the Islamic scriptures
in the Quran were actually far less bloody and less violent than those
in the Bible."
Yet quran-quoting Muslims are bloody and violent today. Bible-quoting Christians are not. Robert Spencer explains why here. "Jenkins completely ignores the fact that it was Jewish and Christian
principles involving the dignity of the human person as made in the
image of God that led to the spiritualizing of violent passages…
In Islam, by contrast, there is such a sharp dichotomy between the
believer and the unbeliever (cf. Qur'an 48:29, which tells the Muslim to
behave mercifully to fellow believers, but harshly to unbelievers),
that the spiritualizing of violent Qur'anic passages has never taken
place."
But
none of us should cherry-pick. Our holy books all have plenty of
messages of tolerance, which we should use to help bring people together
and not let fear-mongering bigots like Geller rip us apart as a nation.
Arsalan Iftikhar's hypocrisy is fully revealed in this. He denounces me, but never has a word to say about the real hate and violence emanating from Islamic jihadists. It is they he wants to enable.
The slaughter, Jew-hatred, ethnic cleansing, misogyny, child trafficking …… is met with silence. Silence is sanction.
I didn't choose those quranic quotes, the jihadists did.

Well that is what you get when you have an individual whose puffed up on his own intellectual idolatry (so smart he’s stupid). And buys into the lie perpetrated by the islamic-facists. Nevermind, for supposedly being so smart, his depth of thought is likened to a thirty second beer commercial on a football Sunday afternoon.
His analytical view of the koran, surahs, hadith compared to the bible is so shallow a child could wade through the smear without any floaties. I wonder whether half the crap he wrote was contribed or under advisement from hilary’s islamic advisor. Oh I forgot, they are one and the same.

The “misunderstanding” or twisting and perverting true Islam is for fools to believe.
Fools for leaders of nations and “Armies” who endorse, trust, thus empower like-minded (foolish) Generals to chart foolish so-called war-plans for foolish Networks to support, and feed foolish audiences willing to swallow that feed. The result is the inescapable moment of the waking of an all too unwitting nation, waking, struggling as they do so, to place the taste on their lips–the bitter fruits of the harvest all the noted amalgam reaps.
There is but one Islam: that brought and delivered by the Messenger of Allah.
And for anyone to assert that message and that messenger are less than what the Messenger of Allah states they are, basic Islam for such–in any nation on the face of this earth–makes the blood of one so charge legal for the Muslim to shed; that life legal for the Muslim to take.
When anyone openly charges Allah’s Messenger as being less then that that the Messenger asserted he was, people will die–often times, if not more often than not, the “hand” (hand to include motive) that dealt the blow hidden.
That is basic true Islam, preached and taught anywhere Islam is taught. Because it is simply impossible to preach the message of the “Prophet” and not preach the message of the “Prophet.”
Thus, Imams teach that Sunnah and Guidance in the mosques we repaired and paid for the repairs and building or rebuilding of in Iraq. Thus the Muslim of Iraq knows that Islam. So too, the Muslims anywhere who know their religion–and if they lack knowledge, it is there Islamic duty to ask those who do know.
Such is basic Islam–claiming you are uniformed buys you zero freedom from your Islamic duty.
Oh well, it cannot be that bad. GW and cohorts praised and supported it. So too John McCain, General Patraeus and countless other Generals. What’s more, we’ve spent—still do so—many a life and limb empowering “Moderate Muslims.”
Gosh darn it, hopefully we can find their (the Moderate’s) books of guidance and thus leap from the pages of the recorded—the prayed and labored over the accuracy of that record on those pages—Islam of the Companions, of the Followers and the followers of the Followers.
Which is the Islam of Malik ibn Anas, of Hanifa, of Shafi, of Hanbal, of al-Bukhari, Muslim, Dawud, Tirmidhi, and on down the line of trusted revered Islamic scholars and masters of hadith–all these, devotees to Allah and His Messenger.
All those and more, men and women who took great pains to protect the Islam they handed down and preserved generation after generation—as Allah’s book asserts this Guidance and Sunnah will be guarded and kept pure.

the “DAILY BEAST” is living up to its name with this article. CAIR is a knwon terror organziation that is subversive and should be outlawed IMMEDIENTLY! and yes, the Quranic war passages do apply to Christians and Jews as well to all “Infideals.”

As a young Latino conservative and a christian zionist, I am appalled by what this nation has diluted to. Will we be afraid to face these issues like France and Britain, and see the growing violence of muslim thugs?
People need to wake up, and see that this is still a Biblical War. A war against Jews and Gentile supporters, that know a true God. The God of love. The God of Adam, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua and David!

Ehhh… well that’s the point, Arsalan. Christians are not Muslims and they therefore WOULDN’T react like a deranged, rabid savage. You see no heads rolling of anyone who criticizes Christianity, or Buddhism, or Hinduism. The viciousness of Islam is completely unique to Muslims and their false prophet.
Muslims simply don’t get it. They are so accustomed to their own savagery, they find nothing wrong with it and appear to consider it perfectly normal. They have zero grasp on how they are perceived by the rest of the non-Muslim world.
WHEREVER in the world you travel Muslims have a terrible reputation and are known as brutal, vile, vicious savages. Believe me, I have not found a single corner on the face of the earth where they have respect and are known as anything else. People have quickly learned that with Muslims comes violence and extremism, whether it starts small and builds up or by an immediate influx of violent attacks and demands.
Just watch the savagery in action by observing the mindset of a people persecuted for 1400 years who should have all consideration to be bitter and hateful, yet are not — and compare it to the Muslim mentality:

I’d like to say I find this to be a particularly apt, well targeted and needed post that I plan to share with various people.
At various times, I have heard Muslim apologists claim that violence exists in the Hebrew/Christian Bible, and therefore these religions are no different in that respect than Islam. And, given all the blood shed over religion in the predominantly Christian world, that claim has a certain superficial appeal.
At the risk of muddying his message, I note Robert Spencer has made the point in at least one of his books that violence in the Bible is of a wholly different nature that in the Koran. Specifically, violence in the Bible is not generally prescriptive- rather, it is constrained to a particular circumstance. Often times it is simply the historical narrative of the ancient Hebrews.
Whereas violence the Koran and the reliable hadiths is often prescriptive and makes no effort to constrain the the violence to a particular circumstance.
I rather wish Spencer had developed that concept more. If anyone knows of a good discussion of this issue that so distinguishes the holy texts of Islam from the Hebrew/Christian traditions, I would like to have a reference to that discussion.
Finally, although it is utterly irrelevant to this discussion, I will point out that no less a personage than Rabbi Hillel’s grandson apparently is on record as opining that Christian worship is an acceptable form of Jewish religious practice. Ironic, no?

If everyone who knows the salient truth about the “Religion Straight out of Hell” keeps putting it out there, maybe the uninformed masses will ‘get it’. Those who try to cover up the violence and murder that is in the Quran are more then dishonist. For the Quran teaches in Sura 47 “When you encounterthe unbelievers strike off their heads, until you make a great slaughter among them…” Likewise the Quran also teaches in 9:112. The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, killand are killed.”Some “peaceful religion” Islam is as some falsely claim it to be. These are just two of the many parts of the Quran that teach violence and killing. Thia all brings to mind the wisdom of the words of Thomas Paine in his book THE AGE OF REASON. Which reads “Any system ofreligion that has aqnything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be a true system.”

How evil does The Daily Beast really think it is?
There must be a point where the self-parody of its name, The Daily Beast, crosses a line from glibly sophisticated to too-clever-by-half confessional.
And that point seems clearly and demonstrably to have been reached when The Daily Beast publishes the brazen, deceitful propaganda of our sworn, mortal enemy, the islamic jihad, while at the same time trying desperately and fruitlessly to skewer the powerful message of Pamela Geller’s great patriotic anti-jihad ads that have resonated among the slowly awakening American public.
British sophisticates like Tina Brown have no business infecting the American public with their own pathetic brand of myopia toward the muslim hordes who are rapidly annihilating her own once-great white nation.
Believe me, I mourn the capitulation of Britain to the muslim slime almost every day anymore. One British poster on this site recently noted how in the United States we can at least wonder publicly whether rolling over for the adherents to the Satanic Verses is good for our future and the futures of our white, Christian children, while in the UK, he said, it’s not even socially permissible to mention them at all for any reason.
The islamic jihad and immigration to the West is a crisis in its darkest hour for all our civilized nations.

People like Arsalan Iftikhar only get away with spouting nonsense because they know their readers are clueless about Islam (and groups like CAIR want to keep them clueless). According to Iftikhar, the terrorism in Qur’an 3:151 was a penalty for attacking Muslims. But the rest of the verse refutes this deception:
“We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers).”
Why are the unbelievers going to be terrorized? “Because they joined others in worship with Allah.” The terrorism is a penalty for not accepting Islam.
Iftikhar’s short commentary betrays his utter ignorance of the historical background of the Qur’an. He doesn’t even get the battle right, claiming that the passage refers to Badr, when anyone remotely familiar with the context knows that it refers to the Battle of Uhud. And yet Muslims like Iftikhar get to write articles for Newsweek and CNN–Muslims who are completely ignorant of the Qur’an and Islamic history and who will gladly invent things in their desperate attempts to defend Islam.

Matthew 10:34 is one of the very few ‘violent sentence’ spoken by Jesus Christ. So it is important to examine the context of this one sentence.
Matthew 10
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c]
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
By reading the whole passage, it is clear that Jesus is talking about violence that will erupt against his followers! Namely people will turn against and will be violent towards followers of Jesus. Jesus goes on to tell his followers to be ready to lay down their lives as the result of this violence.
This is absolutely the opposite of what goes on in the Koran Surah 3:151. There the ENTIRE chapter is about warfare against unbelievers and how unbelievers are doomed and will suffer punishment in hands of muslims and Allah god. It is all about inflicting violence against non muslims.
In reality Pamela Geller’s ad is a great warning to non muslims. Because Koranic view of non muslims is not exactly lovey dovey…to say the least…

Pamela centers very much on the terror acts committed by the seemingly never ending string of Muslim crazies whose lives are
clearly not worth living. It’s no wonder there are more women blowing themselves up lately as their lives are a living hell. However the maddness goes well beyond Geller’s focus. Fact is the Muslims have been killing, maiming, and beating each other since the formation of Islam. All one has to do is look at the daily news coming out of the middle east on any given day. Only a moron believes otherwise. If some clerics mouth in America opens to speak.. it’s a lie. They bank on Americans being as stupid as their own flock of followers.
