Joseph Cotto ran a three-part interview with me for a piece in The Washington Times, "Pamela Geller is speaking up." 

Here is the entire interview that Cotto conducted with me:

Joseph F. Cotto: Over the last decade and a half, America's traditional media outlets have been losing ground at light speed. Alternative sources, such as cable news channels and political websites, have found remarkable success. Why do you suppose that this is?

Pamela Geller: Because the traditional media outlets are dishonest. They are increasingly unmasked as propaganda arms for the left. The media today have one goal: to shape the news, change the message, even lie about the news to advance a collectivist, pro-sharia agenda. People have been burned, and burned badly. They are turning to alternative sources, particularly honest pro-freedom blogs, for the truth. 

Cotto:It is very easy to see that most news outlets are biased in one way or another. Some on the left claim that a conservative business complex of sorts runs everything, while a great many on the right think that hardline progressives control all but a few sources. What is your opinion on this seeming quagmire?

Geller:What conservative business complex? Where? That is total projection on the left's part. They accuse us of what they are guilty of. The right is fragmented and filled with cowards who eagerly give up anyone among their own whom the left is denouncing. The left, by contrast, always marches in lockstep. If anyone of their own is in trouble (however egregious the offense), they circle the wagons. This is the one lesson the right ought to have learned from the left. Stand by your people. Is it any wonder the right lacks fierce leadership?

The right gives the left the power to define the narrative, the parameters, who is acceptable and who isn't. The right should withdraw its sanction.

Off topic but related: It's not really left vs right. I understand that this is the context in which all things political are framed, but it is wrong. The real conflict today is individualism (right) vs collectivism (left). The defense of individual rights is the wellspring of all of my ideas. That is my fundamental premise: defense of individual rights and property rights.

Cotto:Political correctness rose to prominence in order to deal with longstanding social inequalities. However, with the passing of time, it has become a frequent means of suppressing diverse ideas and, in a more comprehensive sense, free speech. From your standpoint, what will the legacy of political correctness in America be regarded as?

Geller:If free people triumph, political correctness will be regarded as a treasonous movement to weaken America and destroy the freedom of speech, our fundamental protection against tyranny. "Political correctness" is a euphemism for thought control and the criminalization of thought.

Joseph F. Cotto:One of the most dire problems faced by the international community is the spread of militant Islamism. What do you believe has caused this ideology to become popular in recent years?

Pamela Geller: It corresponds to the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah, and so resonates with Muslims worldwide.

Cotto:How do you believe that militant Islamism can be efficiently countered and contained on both domestic and international scales?

Geller: We have to stand for human rights and not fear to denounce and fight an ideology that denies free speech, equality of rights for women and non-Muslims, and the freedom of conscience. No war has ever been won on the defense. We must fiercely defend individual rights, equality for all under the law. No special rights for special classes.

Cotto:You were one of the strongest voices in opposition to the establishment of Park51, an Islamic community center in Lower Manhattan. Why do you feel that it is a negative development in terms of not only local, but national politics?

Geller: Islamic supremacists with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood wanted to build what would have been regarded by Muslims worldwide as a triumphal mosque marking the jihad victory of 9/11.

The supine, naive, and/or complicit response of local and national authorities shows how woefully ignorant and compromised we are. It is an Islamic pattern to build victory mosques on the cherished sites of conquered lands.

Never in the history of Islam has there ever been a mosque of reconciliation and healing built on the site of a jihadi attack. [Park51] would have been Mecca on the Hudson to every jihadist in the world.

Joseph F. Cotto:The security and stability of Israel are integral to promoting a favorable American foreign policy in the Middle East. What do you think that the federal government can and should do to aid Israel?

Pamela Geller: Everything it can. Make aid to Egypt and other countries contingent upon their stopping belligerent actions against Israel AND ending antisemitic teaching in their countries. Israel is on the front lines of the global jihad. Stop pressing Israel to make more concessions to the "Palestinians." Defund the UN, now largely driven largely by the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation). The OIC is the largest international world body, comprised of 56 Muslim countries plus the "Palestinian" Authority. It is a would-be universal caliphate. It may look different from the caliphates of the past (the Ottomans, Fatimids, and Abbasids), but it already has significant power through the United Nations. The agenda is driven by the Sharia, Islamic supremacism and Islamic Jew-hatred.

Cotto:It is election season once again. How do you think that the foreign policy views of President Obama and Mitt Romney measure up in an increasingly challenging world for American interests?

Geller: An Obama re-election would be a disaster for America. He has worked against our interests internationally in every possible way.

Cotto:In the past, you have stated negative feelings about the fact that American Jews overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party. Now it appears that this voter base might be beginning to erode. Why do you believe that most Jews have Democratic sympathies, and do you think this will continue during the years ahead?

Geller: The Democrat party has historically positioned itself as the party of the outcast and downtrodden; Jews, with a history of antisemitism elsewhere, have naturally gravitated to aiding those who have been discriminated against and hated without reason. But the Democrats have now betrayed Israel, and many Jews are realizing that.

Cotto:Now that our conversation is at its end, many readers are probably wondering about how you came to be such a force in political commentary. What in your life led to this point?

Geller: No one can set out to become a "force in political commentary" by means of some calculated plan. I stand out in today's political landscape because I tell truths that most are afraid to enunciate. I have the courage of my convictions.

Agree with Geller's views or not, far too few commentators can say the same of themselves while keeping a straight face.

During a time such as ours when opinion writers are becoming cheerleaders for various political movements, it is refreshing to hear an independent voice. If nothing else, this is, from my standpoint, the best way to describe Geller.

Wether or not the facts might prove to be on her side in any given situation, one thing is for certain: She is honest and committed in her commentary.

This alone should warrant respect.

I thought it was the Washington Times that had recently hung Pamela out to dry? Or was that the Washington Post? Still-in-all a great interview Pamela!

Today we are trying to protect ourselves with one arm tied behind our collective backs. The warped perversions of Political correctness and multiculturalism are strangling our defensive resolves while the aggressive and violent world of Islam leaves no quarter in the defense of the non Muslim World in any way.
Another tool that reflects commonsense is racial profiling, which is a necessary tool too a possible threat (if it looks like a duck). Americans simply cannot continue to stick their heads in the sand as the military did with the Fort Hood Jihadist Nadal Hassan who strutted around like a peacock proclaiming his Islamic supremacist behavior for all in his profession to see. Yes the fools who did not come forward have the blood of 13 dead military on their hands. Racial profiling must be a basic tool in identification it is simply commonsense.
