Sharia's misogyny defeated!

Hatem Elhagaly (AKA "Hatem Al Haj"), a medical doctor and fellow at the more here)

Tha Mayo Clinic removed Dr. Elhagaly. They sent this email:

Subject: RE: Dr. Hatem Elhagaly

Dr. Elhagaly is no longer employed or caring for patients at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. We are working with his patients to transition their care to another physician. Because this is a personnel issue, we cannot comment further on Dr. Elhagaly's employment status.

Female circumcision in children, referred to as female genital mutilation in U.S. legal statutes, is a felony-level child abuse crime. Mayo Clinic strongly opposes the procedure and it has never been performed at any Mayo Clinic facility.

Atlas reader CGW vigorously pursued signatures to a petition seeking removal of Hatem Elhagaly (AKA "Hatem Al Haj"). Kudos to him for his hardwork. He dropped that petition in every post. Here is the text of the petition.

Hatem Elhagaly (AKA "Hatem Al Haj") worked as a doctor in Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea, MN. His special interests are in child development.

He is also a proponent of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

In an Arabic-language paper entitled "Circumcision of Girls: Jurisprudence and Medicine" (original here and here), Elhagaly (AKA "Al Haj") repeatedly points to the idea that FGM is "an honor" for women, ignoring FGM's extremely detrimental effects on women's health and the barbarity of the practice. He attempts to justify his ideas by referencing scholars from several schools of Islamic thought and also the words of Muhammad, including the idea that FGM is desirable "because it is more beautiful to behold and better for her husband."

Hatem Elhagaly was taking care of young girls in Albert Lea, MN. We cannot entrust our children's medical care to a man who supports horrific, brutal, and illegal mutilatory practices.

Learn more about him at his website.

Hatem Elhagaly is already gone from his job at the Mayo Clinic. I now demand that the various medical boards that support him revoke his certifications.

Join with me in voicing your outrage. Together, we can remove this man from his position and insist that his board certifications in this country be revoked.

UPDATE: The clit-cutting loving doctor has started his petition railing against "islamophobia." cough cough. Taqiya, anyone?

Seems like his name “Hatem” refers to his attitude towards women.

  • fern

Good! But, no doubt, there will be another to take his evil place, probably one not so vocal. Filthy rotten low down scum that he is. I know what I would like to do to him if I had a scalpel at the ready, give him a touch of what he and his sickly ilk, bestow upon others, so flippantly.

  • Lee

Muslims should not be allowed to be doctors anywhere in the West. Now should we educate them for service in Islamic countries. Their religion and the value we have in medicine are in serious conflict.

  • CGW

    Pamela:
Thanks so much for allowing me to post a link to the petition at Atlas. The physician in question has called our reaction to his position that of an “islamophobic mob”.
Thank you to all my fellow Atlas readers and activists – following Pam’s example, we can accomplish our goals!

My B.I.L. nearly died the other week whilst under the care of an incompetent bunch of muslim Drs – thankfully, a non-muslim Dr intervened and immediately operated. I’ve recently witnessed their gross incompetence in hospital whilst treating geriatrics whilst my Mother was quite ill. Found it all quite disconcerting. In the past, my offspring has had problems with a couple of muslim Dr’s and had to change Drs. I’m sorry, but with the climate today, and for as long as I can, I refuse to have a muslim Dr.

  • CGW

fern, I extend that practice to nurses as well. I make no bones about my preference.

  • CGW

The doctor now has his own petition, accusing us of “lying” and urging all to “rebuke the islamophobes”:
    http://www.change.org/petitions/show-support-for-dr-hatem-elhagaly-al-haj-and-rebuke-islamophobic-attacks
    Too late, he’s fired.
Note the accusations of racism and “islamophobia”. Our petiton was about a “medical” practice, and did not mention religion/culture even ONCE.

  • CGW

Correction: we mentioned religion only in the context of his own words/writings.

  • CGW

For clarification, this should replace the above two comments:
The doctor now has his own petition, accusing us of “lying” and urging all to “rebuke the islamophobes”:
    http://www.change.org/petitions/show-support-for-dr-hatem-elhagaly-al-haj-and-rebuke-islamophobic-attacks
Too late, he’s fired. Note that religion was only referred to in the context of his own words/writing – we attacked the PRACTICE. He’s the one who based the practice on his religion, not us!

  • Kufar Dawg

What infidel/kuffar in their right mind would go to see a muslo-nazi doctor? I’d tell him to shove his stethoscope up his Al Taqiyya canal.

  • mzungu

    Hurl.
G-d please do not withhold your judgment of these people who bastardize your name and murder your people in cold blood.

  • CGW

Morghan, I believe that it’s because FGM usually takes the radical form of excising the clitoris completely, as well as removal of the the labia and infibulation in the more severe forms – akin to complete removal of the penis, as opposed to removal of just the foreskin.
Advocates of FGM try to proclaim that the removal of the clitoral hood is analogous to removal of the male foreskin, and an argument could be made to that effect – except for the fact that that type of “female circumcison” is so RARE that it is almost non-existent. The most common and widespread form involves COMPLETE REMOVAL OF THE ENTIRE CLITORIS AT A MINIMUM.

  • Yocheved Leah

On this disgusting MD’s website, he “clarifies” his positions on FGM. He says that he has researched the practice and traditions and in accordance with Islamic law and condones the “ritual nick.” This supposedly is meant to mirror male circumcision. WTF? So because the woman isn’t fully mutilated and just “nicked” it’s OK? Just disgusting.

  • Cate

He makes me sick. And all those who are supporting his petition, too. He can whine about it all he wants, and call it whatever he wants. The bottom line is, this practice is FELONY CHILD ABUSE. And anyone who condones the practice or supports his petition is complicit. Thankfully, he’s lost his job at the Mayo Clinic. CGW, great job! And I’m with you. I want this guy stopped from practicing medicine, period.

  • Cate

And there is NO WAY in hell that I would EVER see a muzzie doctor. Not EVER!!!!!

  • CGW

    Thanks, Cate!

  • Charles Martel

With the thousands of qualified professionals waiting in line to get a visa to the US we bring in this kind of scum??? Please …

  • CGW

All those willing to get a “ritual nick” to their genitals, raise their hands!

  • InfidelForLife

Hate-em-all Elhagaly is gone. Finally some sanity. Why oh why import such savages?

  • John Lee

Funny how the Mayo Clinic did a dodge by calling this “a personal issue”. I’d say a clitorectomy is a fairly “personal” matter too, esp. if the recipient doesn’t want one.
WHEN are we going to stop messing around and meet these bastards head on? They COUNT on us always wanting to get along and play fair. They see this as weakness, and to an extent they are correct.

  • bb

It is an honor for us to get rid of dangerous doctors like him from our hospitals. He says it is better for the husband for his wife to be mutiliated. I wonder in what way? Does it make her less human then and easier to somehow control? Is it like the chickens with their beaks cut off in factory farms? Those chickens don’t taste as good as chickens allowed to live normal lives anyway. How could a mutilated woman be a better partner than a healthy woman? Does this just soften her up for more abuse so that the husband can abuse her more easily?
I think these people are possessed by satan to think doing something like FGM is normal. It is just a lie that it is good for something. I don’t believe in male circumcision either, which this practice mimics. They say satan always mimics God. I guess it more fully dedicates the wife to satan, the way male circumcision used to show that Jews were dedicated to God.
I think the world is going mad with wacky Muslims leading the charge.

A fellow at the American Academy of Pediatrics ?

  • AuntieMadder

Who the hell would take their kid to a pediatrician named Dr Hatem All Legally? …or Dr Hatem Illegally?

  • HOW’S THIS FOR A SENSENTIONALIST HEADLINE
Female Mutilation Monster Moslem MD Removed From Mayo Clinic Because He’s Pro-Clitorectomy.

  • Nat’s daughter

CGW, Thank you very, very much!

  • I NEVER see FOREIGN doctors! AMERICAN only, please.

  • I certainly thank Mayo for getting him out and the person who worked with the petitions to start the process. We are a civilized society and really don’t need these people among us.
How dare this man take it upon himself to destroy the lives of females?! I wonder if he has performed his mutilations on girls who are too young to realize what’s happened? Do they all come to destroy and none to learn a better way???

  • Hussam

What a bunch of old bitter hateful hags, willing to go so low. You all all rotten on the inside. (and Pam, your face is falling off)

  • I wish to express my support and congratulations to CGW for this successful effort to remove the doctor from his position at the Mayo Clinic. Hard word well done to a good purpose.

    Hey! Hussam
F__ You! Dick! You and your kind are the “low” lives. WTF! Hateful? Bitter? Take a good at yourself in the mirror today. You and your kind are the ones who are indeed “rotten on the inside.” I would encourage everyone to look at this “petition” video and see how “bitter” hostile, “hateful” menacing, threatening and ugly the “host” of the Dean Show expresses himself. How well mannered and “civilized” Hatem appears. What a cultured man. Christ who IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE said “Beware of those who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” It’s all smoke and mirrors. When you go past the outward appearances of civility and examine what he/they advocate – you find them advocating brutally assaulting little girls for their sick, sadistic, masochistic, sexual perversions. It’s clear what these monsters are really about. It’s a Felony! You and your kind are nothing more than monstrous low life criminals!

  • Kufar Dawg

    @Hussam
Why don’t you get your head circumcised? Right around the ears. It might even improve your looks.

  • CGW

    @Hussam
But they are “a bunch of bitter old hateful hags” with intact genitalia!

  • Kufar Dawg

    @CGW
I just want to thank you as well. I signed both your petitions.

  • CGW

LOL, here’s the latest on Elhagaly’s petition:
    http://www.change.org/petitions/please-support-our-fight-against-hate-in-america#
As usual, they’re using the islamic “victimhood” tactic and the made-up word “islamophobia” (I am not an islamophobe, which would imply an *irrational* fear of islam. I am a proud islamoloathe.) to cloud the issue, which is the criminal mutilation of female children.
I am not ashamed of my previous statements, which many of you know are often in response to muslims’ agressive statements of worldwide islamic supremacy and domination and admonitions about the ultimate demise of the “Infidels” at the hands of their muslim conquerors.
Hussam Al-Deen (another pseudonym, just like Al-Haj – the doctor did not dare publish under his legal name, Elhagaly) also confuses me with Raven King, the petition organizer. I guess he should read Jihad Watch more often, to keep up with the news.
    To clarify ONCE AGAIN:
My political views have absolutely nothing to do with the issue at hand, i.e., the advocacy of the criminal mutilation of female children.
However, it’s always so convenient for muslims to cry “islamophobia” when they’re caught red-handed. Of course, we’re used to their attempts at deflection by now.

For some reason islamic Al Taqiyya lies seem to lack the authority w/the infidel/kufr
that they do w/your fellow islamofascist brethren.

  • Daniel

Have you looked at Dr. Elhagaly’s statement regarding the claim that he supports FGM?
See the home page of his website, http://www.drhatemalhaj.com/

  • Daniel

I find it quite odd, that random people are just jumping on the bandwagon against this guy because he supports “Female Circumcision,” whilst tells people to respect the countries laws and not have it done.
He also quotes, on his website, the “Committee on Bioethics of the American Academy of Pediatrics” and I am almost positive you can find unbiased, if you think the former is biased, sources to tell you that the procedure is harmless and better for health…
    – I do find it interesting that Islam also recommends FC, Islam has been known to have a correct stance on many issues, but one needs to take a step back and sincerely do their research
You forget men get circumcised properly and come out fine…The issue is FGM, which is FC done wrong…for that matter, if I am not mistaking in some parts of Africa, there is also MGM which is MC done wrong as well; I think typically those are culturally done after puberty(anyone seen “Roots?”)…which is obviously not correct

  • Thumbs up guys your doing a really good job.
