Summer Camp? Antisemitic Indoctrination Training Center

“Some of my friends tried to stop him by talking to him. Many people thought that it was a test … comparing it to how it is to live in Gaza.” Eyewitness statement the day of the shooting. (ABC News)

The day of the Norway shooting, I was blindsided by one of the survivor’s statements to the press immediately after the shooting (see above). It was so outside the box, I thought it was the kneejerk response of an anti-semite in shock. I didn’t blog on it because I thought it anecdotal, badly anecdotal. But the more that is revealed about that youth indoctrination center, the more grotesque the whole story becomes. Of course, the genocidal leftists will twist what I write here; I am not condoning the slaughter in Norway or anywhere. I abhor violence (except in regard to self defense). But the jihad-loving media never told us what antisemitic war games they were playing on that island. Utoya Island is a Communist/Socialist campground, and they clearly had a pro-Islamic agenda.

Only the malevolent media could use the euphemism summer camp and get away with it.

The slaughter was horrific. What these kids were being taught and instructed to do was a different kind of grotesque. There is no justification for Breivik’s actions whatsoever. There is also no justification for Norway’s antisemitism and demonization of Israel.

Here is what the Anti-Mullah has on the conference:

ANOTHER LOOK AT THE NORWAY LABOR PARTY PALESTINIAN AFFILIATION  posted by The Anti-Mullah

Labour Youth League summer camp at Utøya got the Labour Party’s young hopefuls a visit by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

The Palestinians “must have their own state, the occupation must end, the wall must be demolished and it must happen now,” said the Norwegian Foreign Minister to cheers from the audience.

The main activity at the Utoya Island Meeting were mock “Break the Israel blockade” games. One event was Palestinian aide boats would try to break the Israel blockage.The sign says “defeat the blockade” (opphev blokkaden – Gaza)

Utoya camp was not Islamist but it WAS something not much more wholesome (by our standards, at any rate).

It was a summer indoctrination camp run by Norway’s ruling Labor Party for up-and-coming children of the ruling elite.

Glen Beck was not far off when he compared it to the Hitlerjugend or Young Pioneers.

It’s so the junior members of the aristocracy can be properly told what to think and can network with each other in preparation for their brilliant careers ruling over the peasants.

I saw at least one article that had photos of previous summers with the little dearies and their handlers assembling Israel-bashing displays.

We Americans had similar traditions further back in the twentieth-century. The likes of David Horowitz and Ronald Radosh have written of the red-diaper summer camps their parents sent them to.

There are still institutions such as the “Midwest Academy” where budding labor activists go get schooled in labor and community organizing over the summer.

Not to mention the many religiously-oriented summer camps that have long been a cultural staple.

The camp was run by the Youth Movement of the Labour Party and used to indoctrinate teens and young adults.

Breivik was targeting the future leaders of the party responsible for flooding Norway with Muslims who refuse to assimilate, who commit major violence against Norwegian natives, including violent gang rapes, with impunity, and who live on the dole… all done without the consent of the Norwegians.

The day before the shooting, a pro-Palestinian rally was held. LINK

In an interesting article Breivik and totalitarian democrats in which Sevje, the Norwegian ambassador to Israel is quoted:  Totalitarian Democrats CLICK HERE

“Ma’ariv asked Sevje whether in the wake of Breivik’s terrorist attack Norwegians would be more sympathetic to the victimization of innocent Israelis by Palestinian terrorists.

Sevje said no, and explained, “We Norwegians view the occupation as the reason for terror against Israel. Many Norwegians still see the occupation as the reason for attacks against Israel. Whoever thinks this way, will not change his mind as a result of the attack in Oslo.”

The author of the article notes:

“So in the mind of the illiberal Norwegians [the Labour Party], terrorism is justified if the ideology behind it is considered justified.

For them it is unacceptable for Breivik to murder Norwegian children, because his ideology is wrong. But it is acceptable for Palestinians to murder Israeli children, because their ideology is right.”

ALSO take a closer look at the progression of Islam in the UK! There are now SHARIA CONTROLLED ZONES spreading across the country.

Only days after a deranged Anders Breivik claimed creeping Islamization of Norway as an excuse for cold-bloodedly murdering 76 people, the majority of which were children, a group of British Muslim extremists have seemingly mocked the tragedy by hanging bright yellow posters in several London boroughs declaring them “Sharia-controlled zones.”
One has to wonder about the timing.

Pasted on bus stops and street lamps, the posters have appeared in the London boroughs of Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets and Newham. The message they convey is that there is to be “no gambling,” “no music or concerts,” “no porn or prostitution,” “no drugs or smoking” and “no alcohol” in the areas where the posters are displayed. The warning at the top reads: “You are entering a Sharia-controlled zone – Islamic rules enforced.” The messages are going up in both Muslim and non-Muslim-majority areas and are expected to appear country-wide.

“We now have hundreds, if not thousands of people up and down the country willing to go out and patrol the streets for us,” said Anjem Choudary, 41, the Muslim “preacher” claiming responsibility for the poster campaign.

A former lawyer, Choudary says that besides addressing “the sort of thug life attitude you get in British cities,” the campaign’s goal is also “to put the seeds down for an Islamic Emirate in the long term.” Choudary heads the banned radical Islamist group Islam4UK and has advocated for a Sharia-ruled Great Britain.

UPDATE: Blazing Cat Fur has this:  Hat tip Jane

“Norway today is, in fact, one of the most antisemitic countries in Europe, and much of the impetus for this hostility to Jews and to Israel has come not only from Muslim sources but from the ruling Labor Party and its supporters.”

    why does this not surprise me,,something in my gut told me that this was no summer camp, particularly after hearing that it was set up by the ruling politcal elite

    Well its explance a lot now…

    Mrs. Geller, I don’t understand. Are you trying to justify Breivik’s actions? So it’s ok to murder people only because they are anty-israeli and pro-multiculti?
    I don’t like leftist too, but I think that this time you went too far. :(
    Why do you call Anjem Choudary as an example of islamisation? Don’t you know that this guy and his fellows live in fantasy world, where they have milion supporters? They must do it, because reality is so sad for them – they don’t have more than 50 people, who are ready to support him actively. Those “hundreds, if not thousands of people up and down the country willing to go out and patrol the streets for us” exist only in Choudary’s mini-brain.
    Here is a photo of one of the biggests demonstrations made by Choudary & Friends (lol).

  • Madame Atlas, minor typo. In German, “young” or “young [boy]” or “a youth” are spelled jung/Junge, but “youth” in the abstract is spelled “Jugend” rather than “Jungend.” Sorry to be an editorial pain and cheers.
    I had initially criticized Beck for his comments as I had understood the camp to be much more generic. It’s not uncommon in central Europe for both center-left and center-right party youth organizations to have social activities that aren’t indoctrination; they perform social functions comparable to summer camp, the Boy Scouts or synagogue/church summer programs here. But on seeing this evidence I have to roll back my criticism of Beck at least in part. Granted enrollment in the Hitler Youth was mandatory/automatic by law and in the Young Pioneers pretty much the same, but these folks didn’t get together in order to learn forestry or how to tie knots. Obviously my condolences to the families of the dead and my best wishes for rapid recovery to the living.

    Well done for publishing what the mainstream media are too scared to. We now have a situation where the leftie media are milking every last drop of the victims blood for political gain and to intimidate any opposition into silence.
    This tragedy, which is actually about a deranged psychopath on mind altering steroids murdering unarmed teenagers has twisted out of recognition to become a full frontal assault on all anti jihad groups and individuals.
    What is really sad and inexcusable is that the Labour Party of Norway (and their socialist beliefs) have appointed themselves as victims above the actual murder victims and their families. Hopefully placing themselves above criticism. Unfortunately it’s working.

  • The British Labor Party have done exactly what the Norwegian Labor Party have done – imported a large welfare-dependent Labor-voting Muslim electorate in the hope of achieving political advantage even at the expense of destroying national identity: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2010/02/labour-have-deliberately-destroyed.html

  • Kepha

    Pam, I cannot condone mass murder. Yes, this was an indoctrination camp for SOCIALIST (not liberal) ideology. Yes, these kids were being turned into supporters of the global jihad. But, in a society where there is give-and-take, and openness to truth is valued, many a socialist at 19 is a staunch capitalist fifteen years later. It’s called growing up.
    Go to an American campus and see all the Free Tibet bumper stickers, for example. A generation ago, the parents of those kids, staunch pacifists all, would’ve broken your glasses and nose with them for daring to suggest that Mao Zedong was a colonialist in Tibet.
    Had those Norwegian socialist kids lived, half of them would probably have learned a few things in a few years, and would have been libertarian adults.
    I saw as well a kid who was obviously Sikh (black turban). I’m sure his parents would’ve set him straight about what the global jihad is all about! And, as for some of those fresh-faced indigenous Norwegians, a lot of their multi-culturalism would have surely died with the gang rape of one of their friends.
    I teach a lot of Latin American immigrant kids. One boy from Panama used to come to school in a Che Guevara T-shirt. But, he got to be friends with another lad from eastern Bolivia, and the Che Guevara T-shirt disappeared.
    And, as for Breivik: Mannen er en kriminell, ren og enkel.
    This being said, I can’t help but note that the immoderate European Left did much to inculcate a psychology and culture of violent, lawless protest over the years.

  • Alyn

    Anjem Choudary’s goals are very realistic. The weakness of British society, the willingness to allow sharia courts and sharia law to exist in any form shows that Britain is a prime target for an Islamic takeover.
    Revolutions are not created by majorities. They are created by a well organized and patient minority who have the dedication and willingness to sacrifice to achieve their goals.
    It also does not hurt when the host country allows their people to be attacked with impunity by these so-called fringe groups.
    You take too much for granted having lived in a free society all of your life. It can happen anywhere if the conditions allow for it.

  • Bohemond1096

    So, Pamela, to the ruling Norwegian elitists “The end justifies the means”, eh? Where have we heard that before?
    It appears the pro-Nazi, anti-Jewish feelings still doninate much of Norway. I wonder if we will ever find out how much of the activities on that island are funded by islamists?
    It’s still tragic, but I don’t feel quite so sorry for them now.
    Hosea 8:7

  • Joel

    Once an Islamo-Nazi country, always so … . Reminds me of Hitler Youth on steroids. Probably, a few of these teens had real misgivings about advocating for the destruction of The Jewish Homeland of Israel, but I would venture a guess that at least 75-95% would be glad to see all Jews sent to concentration camps. Let’s face it, that’s much of Europe for you … Islamo-Nazi-Opia. And one of their own just slapped ’em upside their heads big time. It was bound to happen.

  • Kepha said…

    Not in Scandinavia. The politicians they have today are the products of 50 years of socialist indoctrination. These are the people who gave Yasser Arafartbastard and other terrorist scum the Nobel price.
    They also gave the Nobel price to O-putz, so please: grow up!

    “Note the faces which are more MIddle Eastern or mixed than pure Norwegian”
    My son is mixed but while “brown” is not middle-eastern. Not all “brown” people or mixed people are Muslim or middle eastern.
    That’s a pretty tasteless line, coming in the middle of a post ranting about anti-semitism.

    You people are living in your own little world. Norway is the best country in the world to live in, much thanks to “socialist” thinking. Its peaceful and beautiful, and so are its people.
    You all have to realize that sites like these. These xenophobic, racist meanings that flourishes here, on these extreme right web sites, these are the ones that drove and inspired Breivik to do his act. Not muslims wanting to take over the world. You guys.
    So take a step outside of your little ignorant world. Try to talk to a muslim. They’re just normal people.
    And Norway don’t hate jews. It’s just that the state of Israel is being sort of a dick at times, simply put. And the nation try to promote peace and help in the international community.
    Rant end. Love to you all.

  • “Note the faces which are more MIddle Eastern or mixed than pure Norwegian”
    Oh, it’s alright then that they got slaughtered by a latter-day Thor then. Right?

  • Cate

    Pamela – THANK YOU for publishing the truth about this camp!
    Here’s my comments:
    I would never condone murder, ever, and what happened at that place was a madman took a bunch of drugs, and murdered young people, like sitting ducks. It was TERRIBLE. But, it is NO secret, these are the children of the ruling left elite, of the Labour Party. And it is NO secret what this summer camp is all about. This is the party that wants a strong welfare state. It’s all about the socialism. And this is the party that encourages such a huge influx of muslims. The young people at this camp, just like muslim children that are being indoctrinated into the violence of their ideology, are being indoctrinated, too.
    Does anyone think, for one minute, that there aren’t a whole LOT of people in Norway, who aren’t ANGRY? And frankly, RIGHTFULLY so, because their culture is being overtaken and minimized by thousands of muslims who refuse to integrate into the culture where they settle. It doesn’t matter where muslims go, it’s about taking over that culture, and forcing people to accept and live by THEIR rules. And the Labour Party in that country only encourages it.
    Don’t think for ONE second that there won’t be other incidents like this, worldwide, if this stuff continues. And on a larger scale, why did Charles “The Hammer” Martel become famous? He was famous because he managed to drive back the invading muslim hordes from taking over Europe. Think someone like that won’t rise again? You can BET that will happen. It is only a matter of time. Was he a crazy person? Who knows, but he certainly managed to keep Europe intact, and drove the muslims back from whence they came!

  • Norway is NOT Denmark. Nor is The Netherlands. The Righteous Gentiles of Denmark have somehow been enlarged to the “righteous Gentiles of Scandinavia”. Not so! Recall that Quisling led a true domestic National Socialist Party. He had many adherents before Hitler invaded. The Dutch jubilantly turned in their Jewish neighbors. So let us be clear, Norway has nor record of moral bravery.
    Imagine a Camp playing Gaza-support. Imagine this strange Viking Berserker who RIGHTLY sees the undying enmity between Jacob and Esau. He sees it but he cannot understand just what it is. A Christendom unanchored in actual Biblical teachings of Yeshua, as the Roman Church reigned, in fact is also Esau! Esau became Edom. Edom, according to Rabbinic Tradition is the Roman Empire/Church. Thus, this Aryan Berserker, is deeply confused. The ultimate irony is that The Vatican and Islam share the need to eradicate the living proof of the falseness of their doctrine: The Living Breathing Jewish People! Therefore Berserker, like Hitler and the Mufti are tactical allies!

  • RR

    Strange commentary with the photo- Of the 3 “None pure” Norwegians I can make out (and you calling others Nazis?) one is Sikh (turban), another is south Asian (not same as middle eastern) and one is black African. Still too multicultural for you?

  • In the early seventies, when the Bader Meinhof gang was blowing up department stores and US-facilities in Germany, I picked up some Swedish hitch-hikers from this camp. They spoke about the terrorists in loving terms, calling them “Andreas” and “Ulrike”.
    I was not amused.
    What Norway is breeding here are deluded Socialist blockheads that are no different from the Hitler youth, but one that doesn’t have an Arian outlook, race-mixing is desirable in this new Norway.
    The Jew-hatred remains unchanged.

  • legolam

    Pamela you are an abomination. The sooner your karma decends upon you the better.

  • Cate

    B*llshit. YOU are living in your OWN little world. Holding hands together, singing a heart felt chorus of Kum Ba Ya, isn’t going to make world peace happen.
    My friend, spend some time in the Middle East. I’m a regular Western woman, and I am looked upon as a whore. It doesn’t matter that I run several successful businesses, and employ people, and pay my taxes, and own a home. It doesn’t matter that I come from a military family, and that most of the people in my family have served my country with dignity, honor and pride. It doesn’t matter. I am one thing and one thing only to those people. I am a whore. It is NO secret that muslim men like to engage in a little grabass on the streets of a whole LOT of Middle Eastern countries, because that’s all that we are. I’ve had to endure that lovely little act, hundreds of times. It isn’t fun, believe me.
    And don’t EVEN start about Israel. I have spent many years going to and from there, and you have no idea what you are talking about. My friend, SPEND some time amongst those people. SPEND some time with the soldiers. Get to KNOW what’s going on there. Did you know that MOST of the Israeli Arabs don’t want a two state solution in Israel? They enjoy citizenship, and all that freedom offers them. They won’t get that in ANY other Middle Eastern country. NOT ONE.
    So, you are saying that an ideology that not only encourages but EXPECTS the murder of all who are not muslim is a good thing? I guess you support the mutilation of women via clitorectomies. Or how about the stonings, amputations, beheadings, acid attacks, honor killings, and all the rest of the savage, abberant behavior that is sanctioned by Islam to be good thing?? I guess you support the killing of Coptic Christians in Egypt. I guess you support the muslim savages who brutally murdered a Jewish family while they slept in their beds, just a couple of months ago. I guess it’s okay with you that they cut off a 5 month old baby’s head when they slit her throat. A peacefully sleeping baby, and they BEHEADED her. All in the name of their ridiculous god. There have been 17,527 ISLAMIC terror attacks since 9/11. JUST for the week of July 23 – July 29, 163 people have been killed in the name of allah. That’s just in one WEEK!!
    Until EVERY muslim rises up and says NO MORE to the murder, the violence, the savage behavior, they will not be trusted. Until they overhaul their murdering ideology, they will NEVER be accepted into the areas they settle. Never.
    And sir, people like YOU are considered the worst of the worst. Those who do not FIGHT against Islam are considered weak and worthless. Believe me, you will be the first to have your head removed, if islam should ever get a total grip on your country.

    It is sad that Pamela Geller encourages position that those who criticize Israel deserve to be killed or are not better than those who commit murder. Geller is Zionist supremacist, Islamophobe, and a woman who has been inciting violence for a long time. Israel is a fascist state built on ethnic cleansing, massacres, and oppression of Palestinians. Youth in Utoya and Norway stood for everything that was right – they stood for human rights.

    Pure socialist crap. Bleivik is the product of the society he was raised in, but he had the intelligence to look past the socialist trappings and see the evil at its core. Norway is doomed. Its’ native population is declining, like most of Europe’s, and the only way the ruling party can maintain a dominant position is by increasing the number of immigrants from third world islamic countries who, in a few generations, will out-breed the native population (especially if each male is allowed 4 wives) and dominate every aspect of Norwegian life. In short, the termites will soon outnumber the people in the house. Unfortunately Bleivik chose to confront the problem in an unacceptable way by taking up arms instead of taking pen and paper (or computer and internet) and writing to warn his countrymen of their impending doom.
    However, in doing so he has alerted the rest of the world to the anti-semitic sewer that his country has become.

  • Vi Glemmer Aldri

    There is a great difference between accepting people and their religion, and accepting acts of states, in particular states that are occupying foreing land, and blocking sources of food, healthcare and ordinary peoples travels ( or as it is, attempts to travel..) to get to work and earn a livelyhood for their families.
    It is therefore quite possible to embrace jews and their religion and at the same time being against the state of Israels blokade of Gaza, and working for the upheaval of the blokade. Just as also Israelis work against the blokade, from their standpoint not accepting a wrong be done just because they benefit from it.
    Namecalling of any kind, from any group, will not contribute to solve anything. One must be able to discuss political issues, whatever your standing, without calling people this or that. The youthorganization AUF is not either pro- islamistic or anti-jewish. AUF s political goals are freedom and equal opportunities for all. No matter your race, religion or who your father knows. In fact, AUF has on several summercamps and other gatherings invited BOTH palestinian and israeli youth. AUF has also at other times had visits from youth from other corners of the world, often states struggling towards democracy – especially Eastern Europe before the wall – the other one – fell. AUF is not very pro-walls, thats true. It has been very rewarding for all to have the opportunity to meet on common ground, play football, swim, dance – or just talk around the campfire between youth – the youth that will make our future.
    Namecalling and judging groups of people without trying to get to know them or understand them is what Breivik was a representative for, in the same way as all extremists – wherever they come from, whether they be left- or rightwing, jew, muslim, hindu. Extremists are afraid, very afraid for the unknown – and hence also often a bit paranoid.
    I’m a Norwegian lawyer, once member of AUF for the very same reason I decided to pursue law; everyone deserves a fair chance. I know that just because in Norway you get free healthcare for all and free education at all levels, in some parts of the world that is considered ” communist”. Often from countries that at some occasions have said to our prime minister or government officials; ” how can you accept that the newspapers write that about you. Make them stop!” That’s not how a democracy works….I’ve spent several camps on Utøya many years ago. Youth who had and have hopes and dreams for the future. AUF have never been indoctrinated. On the contrary, the mother party has both accepted and encouraged that AUF is an independant organization with its own opinions – often referred to as ” the salt of the party”. Beck isnt really able to insult anyone anymore. His own summercamp for his market values is, as I understand it, for kids 6-12 years old. You may call that indoctrination. Not youth aged 15-25, themselves in positions not only in their own organizations, but also elected by the people and “in office” in municipalities and government. Thats democracy. Even if you don’t agree with them.
    I have met many and taken part in memorial services the last week. People from all of society of Norway are grieving, lefties, righties,in churches, temples and mosques, workplaces and prisons people are saddened and tearyeyed. But I still havent met anyone angry, crying out for more walls, more security, stricter laws. Everyone is unanymous: WE WON’T BE SILENCED BY TERROR. We will have a MORE open society, we will discuss political issues more openly. We will not press these extremist opinions under ground, we WILL listen to their arguments, and argue them asunder. We will NOT pass laws that will take away the democratic country we live in, killing the values we have in an attempt to save them. We will have MORE democracy, that is the only lasting way to peace. We will take back everyday life, take back Utøya and happy memories, we will stand up for the values of freedom, equal worth and togetherness.
    One girl, member of AUF, said after the attack ” if one man can hate so much, imagine how much love we can have together”. Pamela, I disagree with you SO much, and I’m particularly uncomfortable with how you put labels on people. In my opinion, that is dangerous, and the exact problem ( well, one of them..) of the massmurderer. I think you should stop labelling, and – sorry to have to mention it, I think Israelis more than anyone should know how dangerous that is. BUT WE SHOULD ALL DISCUSS POLITICAL ISSUES. It’s OK TO DISAGREE. WE SHOULD ENCORAGE ALL TO SPEAK THEIR MIND. But if you want respect for your opinion, your religion, your point of view – then you have to respect others.
    MORE OPENNESS. MORE DEMOCRACY. The massmurderer has already lost. He wanted to start a war. He just might have started peace.
    Through the years I’ve been amazed how you can communicate also tough things to people. It’s how you say it that matters

  • If this website is responsible for Breivik, then maybe your government & your country’s mentality is responsible for “peaceful” and “beautiful” Norway turning into the rape capital of Europe – with ALL rapes in the past 5 years carried out by “non-Western immigrants”?
    And what of the 17,000+ terrorist attacks carried out by Islamists since September 11, 2001? Surely the Islamic prophet Mohammed, and his holy book which just-so happen to say “fight the nonbelievers until they pay the tax” (9:29) should not be held responsible for these? No, because Muslims are “just normal people”… but I guess everyone clicking on this website is a monster about to put a bullet through a child’s head, right? Suddenly, stereotyping & generalisations become OK…
    And yeah, Israel is a “sort-of dick” at times – one ofthe World’s tiniest countries committing the crime of trying to survive among neighbours from hell. As opposed to your brilliant police, who don’t bother trying to protect their people, but who stood idly by a few days before the shooting, when a Norwegian lady was being raped on the steps of parliament – preferring instead to watch it all on CCTV. Yes, the beautiful, peaceful, tolerant Norway… not! And I prefer to drink a beer for less than 10 Euros- somewhere where it doesn’t rain 24 hours a day.

  • Mandoe

    I suppose Pam Geller would get an apoplectic shock if she ever as much as gazed at one of my family photoes.
    Not only does it include people from all corners of the world, but also of all faiths.
    Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jews and a vast majority of atheists.
    My own son, a person that Pam Geller probably would hail as a true white because of his red hair, milky skin and blue eyes, is a mix of no less than 5 different races.
    Utøya was, is and will be, the rallying point of those not afraid of different skin colours and faiths.
    Not a brain washing farm as most here seem to think. But a place where you form opinions about politics by discussing, questioning and challenging even you own opinions.
    Something that is very healthy, and something that most here could learn a lot from.
    And should we go by the standard of judging here then the US should be a country of eternal slave owners, mass murderes, of perpetual genocide maniacs…… take your pick from your own history.
    Personally I have been more than impressed with the dignity and level headedness with which the Norwegians have reacted to this disaster.
    My sympathy and respect goes out to each and every one of them.
    I am, if anything, more in awe of the Norwegian society than I already was.
    Never forget “Kringsatt af fiender…”

  • But it isn’t Fascism when we do it!

  • Henrik! Get out of here! It’s second time you post the same nonsense. Does anyone pay you to do that?
    Your exaggerations and lies will convince only people with intelligence of a little child.
    Nobody calls for killing of Jews haters here. Moron.

  • Funny how when Muslims commit a terrorist attack, everyone jumps looking for “root causes” – but when Pamela writes, she just “hates”… we are dealing with a bunch of harmless bunnies, who wouldn’t hurt a fly, right? And who have every sympathy for those gunned down in similar fashion elsewhere in the world? Well, not unless they’re Jews from Israel, it seems… “hatred” towards them is perfectly OK.

  • golem

    “and a woman who has been inciting violence for a long time. Israel is a fascist state built on ethnic cleansing, massacres, and oppression of Palestinians. Youth in Utoya and Norway stood for everything that was right – they stood for human rights.”
    highly ironic comment coming from what i assume is one of the norway lefty brigades, safely ensconced in his jew- hatred, on one hand he speaks of “inciting” violence, for what you ask?, simply pointing out the mock war games that were being run against the only Jewish state in the world, sanctioned by the ruling socialist party, whose ambassador to Israel, only a few days ago, justified Islamic terrorism against the Israeli state, because they “deserved it”. On the other hand here he is de-humanizing jews and Israeli’s, justifying murder and violence against them in the same breath, referring to the population of the only Democratic state in the Middle East as “fascist” and responsible for fictitious “massacres” and “Ethnic cleansing”, the only logical conclusion is that they must be punished themselves, according to his warped logic, what would you do then to these evil ethnic cleansing monsters mr Henrik?, perhaps put them in camps?, maybe have them “Ethnically cleansed” themselves?, That seems to be the logical conclusion to your statements, you are nothing better than the forebears of the Qusiling party, engaging in the incitement to mass-murder of Jew’s that your Grandparents/parents were all to keen in aiding and assisting

  • From Pamela Geller “hating”, to Pamela Geller being “morally responsible” for Breivik, and now Pamela Geller “encourages position that those who criticize Israel deserve to be killed”… this gets better and better. Seriously, what do you guys smoke up there?
    Yes, Youth in Utoya and Norway stood for “human rights”… unless it was Jewish kids in Israel, being gunned-down in exactly the same way as in Norway. In that case, they deserved what they got, and they deserve to be boycotted as well!
    And you guys still wonder why freaks like Breivik go nuts in your country?

  • Radegunda

    You are a LIAR. Every sentence you wrote is a LIE.
    Israel has Muslims in its government, and in the media and other professions.
    Gaza has NO JEWS. Your dear sweat innocent Muslims demanded a completely Judenrein state. Muslims from Gaza go to Israeli hospitals to get the best medical treatment available — and then some of them go back to those hospitals to blow up the people who saved their lives, because Islam teaches them to hate Jews and kills Jews JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE JEWS.
    Read the Koran and the Hadith and Reliance of the Traveller, and then you might not be so stupid.
    People like the dolts who ran the Utoya camp make me embarrassed that my ancestors were Norwegian. Obviously the smarter Norwegians left a couple of generations ago.
    Norway isn’t even standing up for the right of Norwegian women to be free from harassment by Muslim men; instead, leftist academics — like good little dhimmis — tell Norwegian women that they should start covering up so as not to tempt or offend Muslim men.
    Norway’s leftists are deliberately shredding their country, just like the leftists in the UK and the U.S.

  • Dude – there’s no starvation in Gaza. Instead there’s great restaurants like this – where the Flotilla “activists” would have probably ended up dining.
    I don’t know what the massmurderer wanted to start. Looks like he wanted to blame Pamela Geller for his acts. But don’t worry – there will be peace in Norway. And it will continue to have skyrocketing rates of rape and gang crime – all committed by “non-Western immigrants”…

  • Radegunda

    Muhammad and his merry band of marauders were only a small number too, but old Mo was “made victorious by terror,” in his own words.
    We’re told over and over that all the “moderate” Muslims don’t speak out against the “radicals” because of fear. It hardly matters if the “moderates” far outnumber the “radicals” when the latter are controlling message and the agenda.
    Furthermore, the critical mass for Muslims to start demanding and forcing the larger society to adapt to THEIR ways is around 2 percent of the population.

  • “I suppose Pam Geller would get an apoplectic shock if she ever as much as gazed at one of my family photoes.
    Not only does it include people from all corners of the world, but also of all faiths.
    Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jews and a vast majority of atheists.”
    Deciding when and where the family goes for prayers must be fun.

  • Radegunda

    Israel magnanimously offered the Norwegians help in dealing with the attack, as it does in all kinds of tragedies around the world. Why did the Norwegians refuse? Was it pure churlishness?
    Was the Norwegian government embarrassed to see its lies about Israel being so starkly refuted? When was the last time Norway offered help to Israel — rather than to the raging fanatics who would kill every Jew in the world if they could?
    My ancestry is 100 percent Norwegian, but it’s very hard to be proud of that fact these days.

  • slapdatpunk

    From the article: “There is no justification for Breivik’s actions whatsoever”
    What part of the above sentence do you not understand?

  • Judi

    Pam – at last you’ve brought it out in the open – just what this so-called ‘Summer Camp’ was all about.

  • AuntieMadder

    I don’t read justification of Breivik’s murders of these kids. There is no justification for Breivik’s murder spree. None.
    Here is the point of this blog post:
    The author of the [jpost.com] article [cited in the blog above] notes:
    “So in the mind of the illiberal Norwegians [the Labour Party], terrorism is justified if the ideology behind it is considered justified.
    For them it is unacceptable for Breivik to murder Norwegian children, because his ideology is wrong. But it is acceptable for Palestinians to murder Israeli children, because their ideology is right.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Not the point of Ms Geller’s blog post, but mine and mine alone: A murderous nutjob killed a bunch of kids at a summer camp where they were being indoctrinated to become murderous nutjobs themselves. Oh, the irony…
    Disclaimer: Still doesn’t make Breivik’s murder spree right. The kids had/have yet to commit any crimes, particularly murder, and since every moment is another chance to turn oneself around, there’s no guarantee that any of them ever would/will murder anyone.
  • David Howard
    I find it highly amusing that the Norwegians like to play at being relevant, as if they are. The Jews and the Israeli people are under the protection of the Knights Templar, by no less an authority than Andrew Brevik. To be sure, they may not like it, but they are. To be a socialist is to be a crime against humanity, to act in furtherance of socialism is commit a crime against humanity. Those who live by the sword and attack others and act to destroy their own countries will suffer such in return. “The world is ruled by the aggressive use of force” – Rush Limbaugh. Shades of Bleeding Kansas, 1859, John Brown has come to Norway. They called John Brown mad, too. Except William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglas didn’t. Two years later thousands of blue-clad troops were marching to battle singing a hymn to John Brown. I suggest the leftists try to understand Brevik as they demanded I try to understand Mohammed Atta the morning of 9-11. I shed no tears for the dead on Utoya Island. My uncle, Captain Russell Cover, RAAF, flew a Lancaster bomber over Berlin at night and bombed German neighborhoods by design. I imagine he and his crew killed a few thousand German kids. No one called him mad. “Bomber” Harris said it had to be done. My father’s destroyer, DD800, USS Porter, shelled a Jap fish cannery on the coast of Honshu in 1945. The cannery exploded with the first salvo in massive secondary blasts completely destroying the adjoining town, and a few thousand civilians. The cannery turned out to be an ammo dump inside. Captain said it had to be done. The crew were called up on deck and invited to watch the pyrotechnics. They cheered each blast. I won’t call Andrew Brevik a madman and I won’t cry for the dead on Utoya Island, either, “for I have seen Him in the watch fires of 1,000 circling camps.”
  • Markus
    The target of unarmed civilians, or anyone, in a liberal democracy is an attack on all.
    But, please show us what was happening in these camps then? If Pamela Geller is wrong? Was it not to stir up anger and resentment against the state of Israel? Was it not spread propaganda and missinformation about Israeli guilt? Was is suggested in those camps that Israel was guilty of war crimes? Was it suggested that suicide bombing is a nasty but natural reaction to Israel? That that’s “all” that the “palistians” have?
    If she is wrong, the provide an account of what happened and the content.
    Be aware that they claim “oh, we just have issues with Israel” is too vulgar and transparent to be taken seriously: anti-semitism is what it is. Trying to hide it won’t work here. Islamophobia is mostly a myth – the only alarming number of hate crimes are directed against JEWS.
  • Vi Glemmer Aldri
    I’m sorry you havent seen the lines every morning, of fathers having to line up for hours in hope to get to work that day, slowslow lines, just for them… MDs trying to get some sort of equipment to help people with medical problems which would be easily solved at great hospitals if they were just the right ethnisity.
    Rapists are usually – in about 90 % of the cases – someone the victim already know – a friend, boyfriend, relative. In short – a man. In a western country, that means that 90 % of rapes are committed by westeners. Should we judge all men because of that? Should I judge you? About 100% of rapists are men. Golda Meir, former Israeli leader, said allegedly once, when discussing a curfew for all women in Israel because of the risk of being assaulted in the streets: why a curfew for women? Lock up the men!
    Of course everyone should have a right to walk in the streets without being assaulted. But the common denominator between these criminals is not primarily their ethnicity. The common denominator is that they are young men, from warridden countries, without families and jobs. That is important to know – provided you want to adress the problem. Bearing G. Meirs line in mind, your “non-western immigrants” might as well be Jews. But still. Prisons in Norway are full of Norwegians, the streets also have representatives of native idiots. Just as in every country. Solving problems without knowing what they are made of is somewhat difficult.
    I don’t know where you come from, G.I. Maybe it isn’t even that important. I know I disagree with Pamela G., at the same time as I will forever defend her democratic right to say it. And have a blog. My most important message is that we shouldnt be judgemental and label groups of people when we adress political issues. You haven’t really commented on that, on the contrary.
    Israeli intelligence liquidated a man in Norway taking a walk with his pregnant wife as they mistook him for someone else in the 70-ies. That is so wrong to every bone I have as a lawyer and citizen of a democracy, as the camp US set up, collecting people they considered a threat without law or judges, whether it be terrorists or people with the wrong ethnisity going by plane to a wedding. I dont judge either americans or israelis for that, calling them this or that. Primarily because it isnt true that all citizens have an individual responsibility for that. All christians, westerners or right wing politicians are not responsible for the massmurders. All professors are not responsible for the UNA- bomber. All germans are not responsible for Hitler. Because some american soldiers have tortured prisoners, does that make all american soldiers, or indeed americans torturists? I think not.
    Secondly: How should that solve anything?
    No one thought it possible that South Africa could unite it’s people after the decades of apartheid, slavery, violence, war, oppression. They did. In an amazingly short period of time. It is possible. But it requires hope, will, commitment. And sacrifice. Sorry.
    The first step is to have hopes and dreams of a future of peace and democracy. The second is to change the rethoric. To have the guts to be a little curious: why do you think that? And to be even more courageous, and dare to discuss ones own point of view.
    As I say to my kids : if you don’t think you’ll make it, you’re probably right.
    So I.G. – you’ll probably get what you want. Choose wisely.
  • Markus
    “OK TO DISAGREE. WE SHOULD ENCORAGE ALL TO SPEAK THEIR MIND”
    And yet there are ample laws to make sure Islam cannot be criticized in Norway. Speaking your mind is called ‘hate-speech’.
    ” Norway’s penal code (Straffeloven, section 135 a) prohibits “hate speech” and defines it as publicly making statements that threaten or ridicule someone or that incite hatred, persecution or contempt for someone due to their skin colour, ethnic origin, homosexual life style or orientation or, religion or philosophy of life. So criticism of Muslims is illegal in Norway.” < is that not true? Can I openly say in public, that the Koran incites hatred and violence? If the answer is 'no' then point proven.
    Wooooah. That’s pretty wrong isn’t it! These kids were young adults, many brainwashed. The other side of the argument never shown to them. They’re forced into believing what they ‘believe.’ How can you say it’s ok to hurt them? That’s sick. Even if they did believe it, they are citizens of a democratic nation! You have no f*cking right to harm them or give them what they deserve! We are NOT BARBARIANS! I apologise if I missunderstand you. Murder is wrong. Your Uncle was fighting under a declared war. This demon Brevik shot defenseless civilians of a liberal democracy: he is no better than the socialists who abused democracy to gain power. Are these people even real socialists? Are they actually demanding the government control ALL the means of production? That’s what a socialist believes.
  • So the kids weren’t singing “cumbaya” and eating lute fish?
  • Peter
    This is just the Norwegian equivalent of the Conservative Political Action Conference of the Social-Democrat Party.
    What’s the point? Does AIPAC not indoctrinate by organising conferences and seminars? Does Hagee not cheer his Christian-Zionism?
    Anyone with a right political mind, would have understood that since Golda Meir and the Israelian Labour Party lost their leading position in Israel to Menachem Begin’s, a person the British Authorities have convicted as terrorist, Likud party, the love affair between the European Social-Democrats and Israel waned.
    Less and less of their children were sent to the Kibbutz. In the 1970s a European political active Social-Democrat Youth would often have spend a few months or a few year in a kibbutz.
    Europeans think it is legitimate for people who live in a certain land to try to shoot occupiers away from their own land.
    This lesson, that it is a fundamental right of a people to determine politics on their own soil and to chase foreign occupiers away, required quite some instruction from American governments in the 1945-1970s period.
    US Anti-Colonialism policies for former European Colonial Hegemons required about an entire generation (a few decades) to grasp the concepts, and absorb anti-colonialism in their thinking.
    And now nearly all Europeans reject Colonialism and a lot of those Europeans take the American anti-colonial lessons to their heart and judge Israel as a colonizer on the West-Bank and in the Gaza-Strip.
    I’m not sure which Knights Templars you’re referring to. Through all the crusades jews and the Israeli people certainly wasnt protected by the Templars. On the contrary. Jews where thrown out of for instance England and Spain ( after taking their belongings), and several popes – and Martin Luther also, later – were very little pro- jews to be polite. If it was a plague in the country, the catholics where quick to point fingers in that direction. Templar Richard the Lionheart caused a masssuicide by jews in York under the third crusade.
    Modern day Knights Templars are freemasonlike, doing charity work. They certainly don’t take stand in political or religious questions like the ones you comment.
    You probably dont refer to the drug cartel in Mexico who call themselves Knights Templars? don’t think they care much about religion, quite frankly. They’re in it for the money.
    Or maybe you refer to the loose rightwing (sparse) network of extremists with links to Great Britain ( if they could only agree between themselves), who like to attach the Templar name to themselves, not really having anything to do with catholicism or religious soldiers taking vows of poverty. Would think their main concern would be that Jews, as all foreigners, should stay at home and not come to GB? If a lot of Jews came to GB, I would think they would rather be considered “Middle-Eastern” by that group than be protected? What do you think?
    Clearing that up. You say that being socialist is a crime to humanity. Do you think democracy and freedom of thought and speech is wrong? is it right to kill someone if you disagree with them?
    I didn’t get that live by sword- thing, that kind of doesnt fit with the rest you say. Living by sword is usually used in connection with people who condone violence, and therefore you should be killed, but that doesn’t make sense.
    Yeah, that playing it relevant……. that’s the fun part of political debate.
  • Vi Glemmer Aldri
    Courde you can say that, Markus, as you can say that you’ ll probably burn in hell having sex outside heterosexual marriage, that girls with headscarves are oppressed or that you want a “white” country. But if you start a rally to hunt down homosexuals, encourage on your blog to beat up rightwing politicians or as a teacher teach kids that Holocaust wasnt all baf, you might get an opportunity to explore the legal system from the inside.
    The penal code you refer to is, as I’ve tried to illustrate, very much about ” it isn’t so much what you say, it’s how you put it”.
  • not markus
    These kids were young adults, many brainwashed. The other side of the argument never shown to them. They’re forced into believing what they ‘believe.’
    heeeyyy, that’s kinda like the kids in the united States Public School system, ain’t it..(and yet the teachers ALL claim that they teach the kids ‘how to think’ not ‘what to think’)
    considering the generations of UNTOLD DAMAGE commited on America by the self-absorbed, amateur psychologist PROGRESSIVE john dewey (screwing over the whole school system) in the 1930′ not to mention PROGRESSIVE woodie wilson and PROGRESSIVE fd roosevelt…
    somehow the Americans aren’t barbarians either but the PROGS sure keep pushing, don’t they?
  • Vi Glemmer Aldri
    But she has never been there or even talked to someone who has, thats a pity. Especially since both israeli and palestinian youth has been guests over the years, and first hand witnesses should be readily available.
  • We can stop endlessly repeating The Massacre Was Wrong now; everyone gets that shooting down unarmed people is immoral. The New York Times will continue to insist that we don’t understand that no matter what we say, so there is no point in continuing to restate the obvious.
    Everybody’s been talking about how there is going to be “civil war” in Europe. Perhaps none of us understood along just how mind-bendingly convoluted, arbitrary, and grotesque lines this might develop. So now we have allegedly “pro-Israel” Anders Breivik, who also just happens to think that 6 million Jews in America constitute a “problem” solvable by deportation to a muslim-less “palestine”, and who then mows down +/- 65 young people who have been sent to spend their summer days at a hate-the-Jews-and-destroy-Israel camp and who are so indoctrinated and paranoid that when this nutcase starts shooting holes in their friends they rush up to him thinkin he is “training” them for “living in Gaza”.
    You just cannot make this stuff up. If Europe is really this effed up across the board, and it isn’t just some Norwegian thing, be prepared for A Few Years in the Absolute Elsewhere, as someone once aptly described the 1930s over there.
    Speaking of which, are the London East Enders still pulling the stupid little SCZ posters off the telly poles as Pat Condell said they were? Because if Choudaryhead and his sandaled thugs start trying to “enforce” these gonzo “sharia zones” there had better be some proportionate pushback in the form of punches thrown because at that point the sharia-slaves will have Crossed the Line. Yes there is a place for violence: it is called self-defense, and Europeans need to learn exactly when and where and at what level it is appropriate, or they are going to very quickly find themselves in a place where a punch in the nose will not solve the problem, nor will a police line or their equivalent of calling out the National Guard.
    Breivik is a fluke. Flukes are not what Europe really needs to worry about right now.
  • Edward
    Who said it was all right?
  • Radegunda
    So you’ve taken sides with the culture that teaches its kids to strap bombs to themselves and go kill other people’s children, and then celebrates by handing out candies; a culture where a mother’s highest aspiration is for her children to become “martyrs” by blowing up other children in pizza parlors; a culture whose people will kill the doctors and nurses who saved their lives for the sole reason that they are Jews.
    And you think those people are more worthy of your moral regard than those who provide medical treatment to the potential “martyrs,” and send in aid on a regular basis, and send help to people in need all over the world; a culture that creates and invents and teaches compassion — as distinct from the culture that puts most of its energy into destruction and the teaching of genocidal hatred.
    It is only rank bigotry that explains how someone could compare the actions of those two cultures over the past decades–or centuries–and still come done emphatically against Israel.
    There will be peace in the Middle East when Muslims start loving their own children more than they hate Jews. Unfortunately, hatred of Jews is written into their religion. What’s your excuse?
  • Marks
    Would love to comment, but not sure what you mean. What founding fathers are you referring to, in this Intl. Community? If you could elaborate a little, would be great.
    Love your word play. Remind me of a high school guy who always said “fart, poo, pee, -I wish I was 3!”
  • Radegunda
    Do you hate your own culture enough to hand it over to people who wish to destroy it and put you in a shroud?
    What have you done to protest the wave of Islamic rape against Norwegian women and girls? What have you done to protest the climate of menace that is descending on the Muslim-dominated parts of Oslo, Malmo, London, Amsterdam, Paris, or any of those 751 “zones urbaines sensibles” in France?
    Does it not offend you that Scandinavians’ lives are threatened because they wrote or published cartoons? Is it okay for people to be prosecuted because they criticized Islam? Is it okay to force halal food on non-Muslims to appease the Muslims?
    Aren’t you concerned about what kind of society you’ll be leaving your children and grandchildren?
  • Radegunda
    Bald-faced lies don’t become true just because you repeat them.
  • Radegunda
    Is it “anti-human” to oppose to the quaint custom of teaching children to strap bombs on themselves and blow up other children, which is quite popular in Gaza?
    Is it “anti-human” to speak out against the custom of killing one’s own daughters or sisters of wives because the talked to boys or wouldn’t shroud themselves?
    You’ve got a very warped sense of what is human vs. “anti-human.”
  • Ugly and vile. Get the fug out of my country, and take your industrial strength stupid with you.
    When it comes to Christians and Jews, Christians haven’t much to be proud of, I’m afraid. Several pogroms, stealing all-their-belongings-and-kicking-themout-of-our-country etc. By both kings, popes etc. And also during the crusades. Martin Luther was also VERY CLEAR on what he thought about Jews. Jews were for decades banned from owning land – that was why so many started with jewellery and finance.
    You put a lot of words in his mouth. He hasn’t said it, but it seems like it’s more important to ” be right” than solving anything, like Dr. Phil would say? Violence is never right. When it comes to US support, it’s no doubt that an important factor is the quite powerful Israeli lobby who has major financial means that cannot be overlooked. Parts of the lobby are happy to mix any discussion of Israeli politics with “antisemite”. That can stop attempts to discuss issues and make it really difficult to find solutions, unfortunately.
  • The owner of this blog and it’s Acolites like you bear direct responsibility for the attack in Norway. every sane American knows this.
  • Kepha
    Sheikh, I have grown up. Perhaps I owe Pamela an apology, for I am fairly certain that she does not condone mass murder, either.
    But perhaps it was too easy to read into reportage of the ideological orientation of the summer camp an excuse for Breivik’s criminal rampage.
    I’ve lived long enough to see people change their minds on many important issues (see my comments on “Free Tibet” bumper stickers and some of my own students). And, yes, I am very critical of the Scandinavian elites and their views (more than you might imagine). I smell a peculiar sentimentalism in the Nobel awards in matters other than hard sciences. But I am also kin to people who owe their lives to Scandinavian behavior between 1941-45.
    But, perhaps, since I am a teacher, I hate seeing kids shot and killed–especially since I know that they can be brought to see an opposing point of view at that age by means other than firing a gun at them.
    And, I know enough about Scandinavians to know that many of them are very emotionally healthy people who, unfortunately, buy the story of the first person to come to them with a complaint about ill-treatment. That, perhaps is why they weep rivers of tears over the Falastin Arabs. But, let them listen to a few Mizrahi stories about being forced out of Baghdad or Alexandria after 2500 years of the family’s residence there with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and that’ll influence a Scandinavian, too.
    And elsewhere, I’ll bet that half of the Dutch people who at this point would like to see Geert Wilders as their PM were, thirty years ago, dyed-in-the-wool Leftists. People can and do learn, Sheikh, and those of us in the counterjihadi movement should recognize and use that factoid.
    Check the historical record to which President of the United States dedicated a space shuttle to those we now call Islamic fundamentalists and dared compare Islamic fundamentalists to our founding fathers.
    I know, I know, the standard GOP talking point is that was in the mid 1980s and we were together fighting the scourge of Communism. Training Islamic fundamentalists in guerilla warfare, providing them with Stinger missiles, allowing the Chinese to transfer nuclear technology is all okay.
    That Islam hates all other religions, however, was well documented prior to the mid 1980s.
    It is in some religious text long forgotten in the West where it was told “For they have sown the wind, they shall reap the whirlwind”
    VERY BRUTAL RAPE
    The 17 year old Somalian has several serious crimes on his conscience, but the worst is probably the rape of a young girl at Hoybraaten (Oslo suburb) one year ago. Oslo Court states that the rape was unusually brutal, and lasted for several hours. The young girl was threatened with a knife and beaten. The Somalian choked the girl so brutally and for so long, that the medical doctor who afterwards treated the girl, said that she could have died. Her voice has changed. She was raped without a condom in a very humiliating way. The girl is now suffering from severe psychological problems in the aftermath of the attack.
    The Youth was sentenced to four and half years in prison, where three years was made conditionally, which means he will serve only one and a half years. The sentence also included another rape, where his Norwegian-Moroccan friend raped a 13 year old girl, whilst the Somalian helped to threaten her and keep guard. She was also brutally treated, and is experiencing serious problems after the experience.
    The Court states that the girl was harassed by the family of the Norwegian-Moroccan and his friends. It went so far that the girl was angry at her own mother for giving the name of the rapists to the police. The girl wanted to pay the offenders to make them leave her alone. Her psychological condition became so bad she had to be forcibly sent to a psychological institution. Her schooling is destroyed.
    This article was translated from a Norwegian newspaper and published in the blog Little Green Footballs in 2006 by Anders Behring Breivik under a pseudonym.
    After reading this article I was enraged at the Norwegian authorities for not doing anything to help the girl whose life is probably ruined. The least the authorities should have done was to deport the Moroccan family to their sharia compliant hell-hole of a country.
    I am really ashamed to admit that I have an immediate relative who is a Norwegian and a leftard to boot.
    Erik, I do not despise Scandinavian people. Min mor, Gud hvile henne, var en norsk jente (forgive my rusty grammar). But, you might take time to pause and realize that one reason social democratic Europe enjoys a high standard of living is the defense welfare you’ve gotten (angrily brought up by a 1970’s-vintage Swedish father to a daughter dating an American “anti-War” deserter in his country).
    As for xenophobia,racism, and provinciality, a number of us have lived abroad, even if not in Europe, and include non-Indo-European languages among those languages that we read. I myself have interviewed Uyghurs in China, and spoke and read Chinese better than they (actually, not very hard, given the state of the Chinese educational system that Jan Myrdal and Gunn Kessele so fulsomely praised).
    Before you accuse the Israelis of being “dicks”, how would you Scandinavians feel if all of your neighbors wanted to throw you into the sea after raping your women–and your sea isn’t the warm Mediterranean?
    And, how come your noble-hearted Scandinavian socialist governments never lecture the Arab states over their unwillingness to grant citizenship to the Falastin Arabs after four generations? My own homeland of the USA, which is cursed a thousand times daily by people who fancy themselves our moral betters, has given passport-holding, voting, public-office-eligible, and ability to buy, sell, and hold property citizenship to more victims of an-Nakhbar, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren than any seven Arabic-speaking states put together (if we exclude the PA, Hashemite Jordan, and Israel itself). This is all the more inexcusable, dishonorable, and vicious when you consider that the descendants of all those Mizrahi driven out of the Maghreb, Egypt, and Iraq (where they had been resident long before anyone spoke a word of Arabic in those countries) are no-questions-asked Israelis. Worse yet, we live in a world that has seen Delhi-born Pervez Musharaf sit down to discuss lowering tension with Delhi-born Manmohan Singh, yet India and Pakistan got nary a penny in UN (or Gulf state) money to resettle MILLIONS of 1947-48-vintage refugees.
    And, if you’re so concerned that the Arab refugees get their homes back, why don’t you also press for the return of the Anatolian Greeks, and the return of the Armenians to the area of Van and Erzerum? Why not press for secure lives on the Volga and in Ukraine for all those displaced Volksdeutsch? Why not demand that the Russians pay heavy compensation to all those ethnic Koreans from the Primorski Kraj and Amur region who were the first of Stalin’s deported nationalities? And, maybe prevail on your European neighbors to compensate millions of Americans who were driven from the Old World for being of the wrong religion, political persuasion, or whatever?
    And, what have the poor, poor Arab settlers in Gaza (that their ancestors settled there when yours were still terrorizing the British Isles in in longboats doesn’t make them any less settlers) done since the Israelis pulled out? Just to prove they wanted nothing to do with Israel, they smashed the greenhouses which the Israelis so carefully left intact to let the Gazans grow produce. Just to prove their peaceful intentions, they lobbed rocket after rocket at civilian targets in Israel.
    Believe it or not, Erik, people who are not clients of the European and American political left also have their grievances and bloody-shirt histories, too. Since you seem unwilling to take it from Americans, I believe that Jacques Ellul and Raymond Aron wrote a bit on these issues; and Bo Yang wrote a book that translates as _The Ugly Chinese_.
    In fairness, Attilashrugs, half of Norway’s small Jewish population was hidden or smuggled to safety during WWII. As for the Nasjonal Samling, it was so small and the Norwegian population uncooperative enough that the Germans had to do a lot of the day-to-day administration of occuupied Norway themselves. Further, the Norwegian bishop Ole Hallesby was imprisoned for telling his countrymen that they shouldn’t cooperate with Nazi anti-Jewish measures, and he was not alone among his country’s Lutheran leaders.
    Yes, there was some collaboration, including that of Knut Hamsun, Norway’s most eminent novelist, and many who volunteered to fight for Nazi Germany.
    But as one American to another, I say pray that our own country never has to face the sort of dilemnas occupied Europe had to during the Shoah.
    Maren, all I can say about Breivik is that he was a criminal, pure and simple.
    But, before you throw out the “hater” epithet so freely…
    I do not despise Scandinavian people. Min mor, Gud hvile henne, var en norsk jente (forgive my rusty grammar and vocabulary). But, you might take time to pause and realize that one reason social democratic Europe enjoys a high standard of living is the defense welfare you’ve gotten (angrily brought up by a 1970’s-vintage Swedish father to a daughter dating an American “anti-War” deserter in his country).
    The answer is no, AIPAC does not indoctrinate children, and they don’t fund or control Hagee. This is just another false equivalence which blames Israelis for being victims of terrorism.
    The rest of it is likewise bull shit. If more Israelis were kibbutzim, this idiot and the rest of the hate choir would still hate Israel (and all Jewish people) just as much. This has nothing to do with the reason why the Soviet Union supported anti-Zionism thereby launching a generation of leftwing fellow traveling fools and useful idiots by exploiting their latent anti-Semitism. Israel is not a European colony any more the the US is still a part of the British Empire.
    Gaza and Judea-Samaria have as much to do with hatred of Jews now as it did during the War for Independence. The anti-colonialism hate-meme was invented after the fact to justify the hatred the haters claim it caused.
    Last note: some forgot to mention that the European leadership not only blames Israel for attacks in her home land, but also against European Jews in Europe.
  • Paula K
    Oh really? Cite them. All of them.
    Of course, Auntie. I would expect most sane people to agree with that. They’re kids. When I was their age I might have gone to camp with the intent of scoring with a commie chick. (That’s not a joke. I am trying to provide a little perspective to these kids’ age group.)
    You lost me at “staunch pacifists all, would’ve broken your glasses and nose with them for daring to suggest that Mao Zedong was a colonialist in Tibet.” Pacifists punch people in the face?
    The history of Israel is in no way related to the history of the Chinese Empire. You may notice that Israel was never an empire.
  • ADHD
    You Communist troll, out with you and your fellow-Marxists from this weblog!!!
    Ms. Geller has proven not to be guilty of any terrorism whatsoever!! Rightists like Timothy McVeigh and Anders Breivik are very rare when compared to what Commies and their Muslim allies are culpable for!!!
  • ADHD
    Why don’t you emigrate to North Korea? I’ve no doubt they’d welcome fellow-Commies like yourself!!!!
    SHAME ON YOU for attacking Ms. Geller the way you’ve been doing!!!!
  • telly
    Cate,
    I doubt “Eirik” is Norwegian. If he were what would say Norway is the best country in the world.
  • Catmann
    So sad but when a population is indoctrinated to allow Islam to precedence over a the dominate culture one can expect push back. This I believe is the beginning.
  • Mandoe
    …. and some have trouble understanding how Breivik supported and groomed his hate.
    All you have to do to understand that, is reading through the pro-Geller comments here.
    But where does it come from?
    All this hate. All this fear that is so obviously behind the hate.
    What is it that make you fear and hate so much?
  • Anthony Guzzi
    You are a sick bitch, the last time I saw a mouth like yours it had a hook in it. So let me get this straight…an anti-muslim crusader murdered scores of christians in a camp? How does that work with your hatred?
  • ADHD
    Tun, do you know who really killed well over 110,000,000 people in the past century alone??
    It was NOT Christians – it was COMMIES like yourself!!! Ljéñin and Stáljin between them killed 40,000,000 between 1917 and 1953 in the USSR alone!!! Mao has the blood of 60,000,000 Chinese between 1949 and 1976, and Pol Pot killed 1,500,000 in just FOUR YEARS (1974-78)!!!! Add some more from the Eastern bloc during the period 1947-89 and the figure of 110 million (perhaps even 120 million) becomes quite credible!! And Commies are militant ATHEISTS!!!!
    Then let’s add the 40,000,000 killed as casualties of World War II started by another atheist, Adolf Hitler (who in that figure exterminated 6,000,000 Jews!!!). All in all, atheism has perhaps 160,000,000 victims even up to now for sure and certain!!!
    So shut up with your anti-Christian nonsense: no believers other than Muslims would be this demonically out to kill people just like that!!!!
  • telly
    Not really. America could not be occupied the way European countries have (some many different times).
  • ADHD
    Out of here, legolam you Communist troll!!!
  • Lucy
    So really, this was a terrorist training camp at worst, hate indoctrination centre at best. Thanks Pam for having the guts to show what the media is too scared to show; that Norway is officially teaching its kids to hate Israel and to aggitate against it.
    And is it “anti-human” to speak out against the 17,527 ISLAMIC terrorist attacks that have happened since 9/11? How about the Israeli family that was murdered a couple of months ago, as they slept? What about the toddler in that family, that was stabbed repeatedly by muslim savages that invaded the family home. That baby was stabbed, not once. Repeatedly. What…was a 3-year-old Jew putting up too much of a defense for them? Or maybe they get some extra special blessings from allah by stabbing a Jewish 3-year-old directly in the heart a bunch of times. Do they get double the virgins in their version of heaven by doing that? How about his baby sister, 5 months old, who was beheaded when those islamic savages slit her throat. Sleeping peacefully next to her Dad. What did she do to warrant something like that? I guess it is wrong to speak out against those horrors in your version of life. If you’re going to support the muslim side, you better get yourself an education on both sides of that coin.
    Spend a little time in the real world before you spew your BS. I suggest you take a little trip to the Kingdom to get a taste of REAL life under muslim rule. And while you’re there, you can head right over to a little place called Justice Square in Riyadh, which is more affectionately named Chop Chop for those who really know about the place. Yes, you can spend your morning at a quaint little coffee shop, catching up on some news, enjoying some coffee, and engaging in a little people watching, then wander over to Chop Chop to see who will be beheaded that day. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to be right up front. Maybe you’ll even get a little blood flicked on you for a nice, visceral effect.
    Once you do that, maybe then you can talk a bit more intelligently about anti-human behavior.
    Peace.
    Hello,
    I wish to recall that many of the Norwegians are Lutherans and its founder (Martin Luther) was a bit anti-Jewish at the edges.
    Now if you find that a lot of anti-Semitism, hatred of Jews in Norway, you should not be surprising.
  • Paft
    So you’re claiming Lutherans are prone to anti-Semitism? Or do you just assume this about Norwegian Lutherans?
  • Lucy
    Bravo Cate
  • Paft
    Well, well, well, yet another Pam Geller commenter who carries Geller’s smears to their logical conclusion.
  • Bohemond1096
    I am not a leftard, hon. I was agreeing with Pamela and noting that when socialist leftards sow the wind (against Israel) they will reap a whirlwind, hence the reference to Hosea.
  • Randolf Behrique
    Criticising Israel is not anti-semitism. Pamela Geller is prejudicial against all Muslims. She is a violent Zionist supremacist and she is also genocide denier, read here http://srebrenica-genocide.blogspot.com
  • Bohemond1096
    Norway doesn’t hate Jews? Whose side was Norway on in the Second World War? How many Jews did Norway send to die in Nazi gas chambers? Quisling!
  • Randolf Behrique
    Who is Pamela Geller? Read here http://srebrenica-genocide.blogspot.com
  • Bohemond1096
    Spoken like a good little brainwashed Troll.
  • Tom
    I realize that it hard to understand how democracy works when you live in a non-democratic oligopoly society such as the US. In real democracies, however, several parties govern the country, the labour party in Norway being one example. These parties are than governed by their members, some of these members being youths. In this process people obviously come together in events such as the summer camp. But I guess these things are hard to understand wjen you live in a country where there is no more democracy and the country is being governed by paid-of politicans, lobbyists and representatives from major companies.
    To call these kinds of activites “indoctrination camps” is a disgrace against democracy.
  • Bohemond1096
    That text is from the Old Testament, Hosea 8:7.
  • Randolf Behrique
    Yes, Pamela Geller is doing fabulous job bashing Muslims, prejudicibg people, spreading intolerance, Islamophobia, and encouraging others to hate (and therefore commit violence).No serious person would cite Geller on anything but toilet paper. The lack of intelect she – and her supporters – exhibit is astonishing and sad. Being Zionist supremacist, Geller is also outspoken genocide denier.
  • Bohemond1096
    To call these indoctrination camps “summer camps” is disingenuous and dishonest, exactly what we have come to expect from neo-nazi, socialist nations that have brainwashed their masses to think that they are “democratic”.
  • Randolf Behrique
    Boycotting fascist and irrelevant state of Israel is a way to protest human rights abuses committed by Zionist supremacists agaibst innocent Palestinian children. Pamela Geller is a dirtbag, she even denies genocide.
  • Odin
    Uhm, the picture with the “break the blockade” sign isn’t from the camp. It’s from the camp of a much smaller, much more left-leaning youth party. The flag with that party’s logo is a dead giveaway.
  • Dear Troll Jason,
    you know full well that Pamela did NOT say that.
    That is you putting a LEFT WING SPIN on her blog, and saying that she said something that she did not say.
    The only hope for you on the Left is to say that a conservative said something that she did not in fact say.
    You should be aware that this method of lying can only go so far. One by one you will lose followers as people find out that you are lying.
    The truth has a habit of working its way to the surface in spite of all the efforts of moral retards such as yourself.
  • Gerald, the Left are such people as they would rather cover up the rape you describe than lose a political point by reporting it. Man, the Left is lower scum than the rapist you describe.
  • She is not bashing muslims, she is just reporting on things that muslims do.
  • Dave in CZ
    Randolf, that was not a reply to what I said. You’re a troll just repeating some venomous propaganda over and over again to everyone who doesn’t agree with your own perverted opinions. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have the same dangerous personality defects as Anders Behring Breivik. The police are probably aware of you already.
  • She is not trying to justify Breivik’s actions. That’s a stupid remark. Who would try to justify Breivik’s murder of 70 people. Please, use some sense.
    She is reporting on how the camp that he shot up was a Far Left indoctrination program for the children of the ruling elite socialists of Norway. Sorry buddy, that’s their fault, not her fault.
    Don’t you think it is weird to run a camp that brainwashes children to ape the political views of their parents? I do. I wonder how much they pay to get their children programmed. You would think that the Far Left K to 12 school system would provide enough brainwashing, but no, they send them to indoctrination camp in the summer on top of it. Sick.
    I tell my children to MAKE SURE that they use integrity and honesty when they form their beliefs. I do NOT tell them to replicate my beliefs.
    But what do these Socialist Leftists tell their children? Well, they tell them WHICH SIDE of the Israel issue to be on. They indoctrinate their children with what to believe.
    The Left moulds their children into little replicas of themselves. It’s vile parenting.
  • Randolf, Who is John Galt?
  • Kristin
    What an articulate reply. Wash you mouth would be my esponse.
  • Kristin
    Adding to Sigve´s post: most of you haven´t the faintest idea what the Norwegian society is like. Some of you label our government communist(!) – for your information it is so-called red/green. Social-democrats, socialist and “green”. Norway is a democracy – believe it or not – in a month we will be holding elections. At least 8 different political parties participate. 6 Years ago we had a blue government. You must be seriously deluded – and sadly misinformed and uneducated. There is a world outside of the US. Believe it or not. Interestingly most of us – Norwegians – speak at least two languages. Many of us more than that.This makes us able to read a variety of newspapers – websites etc. I wonder if most Americans are able to read artcles written in any other language than English.
  • Miep
  • Pål
    no, you fucking yankees are going further and further in creating what will later be known as fascist-christianity.
  • Kristin
    Excuse me – are you serious? What side was Norway during WW2 – if you don´t know the answer to that you are in serious need of accurate information. Norway was occuoied by Nazi-Germany for five years. They – the nazis sent the Norwegian jews to Hitler´s gas chambers. Look it up if you think I am an indotrined Norwegian moron.
  • Kristin
    Have you read Norwgian nwespapers, listened to Norwegian politicians. Laws preventing the criticism of Islam? Please get informed before you start ranting.
    Randolf Behrique
    In no way is Pam a genocide denier.
    We have already been through this, here on this site.
    Be sure and be informed of ALL of the facts before making
    an accusation like that.
  • Silje
    Yes you can and many people say so. In Norwegian mostly, so you’d have a hard time reading it I suppose, but these kinds of utterances are commonplace in Norwegian debates.You’re allowed to speak your mind about almost anything, but you cannot expect your opinions to remain unchallenged. You will receive debate, not prosecution. If you paid attention to what the Norwegian society has been up to after the attack, you’d see we’re working our way towards an even more open society; not a more closed and hateful one. This is our response to the terror.
  • Kaia Aardal
    I think it is a natural response from a young person who has been brought up in a peaceful democracy to think that a shooting episode is some kind of game or test. The whole situation is different from anything the child or youngster. or almost any other norwegian for that matter, has ever experienced. Others compared the atacks to “being in a horror movie” or “Nazi-movie”.
    Twisting this comment into some kind of conspiracy theory about the largest political movement in Norway being antisemitic seems a wide stretch… And where are you going with the terms genocidal leftist or jihad-loving media? There is enough hate and confusion in the world as it is.
  • A Norwegian
    Rubbish. As the rest of the hard left fanatics in Norway you substitute facts with slogans. In addition you display your totalitarian anti-academic mindset when you really believe that ” Everyone is unanymous…” How can you claim that we have an open society and then in the very same paragraph claim that EVERYONE in Norway share one opinion. Reminds me of North Korea. Fact is:
    Norway is a pseudo-democracy. After the shooting incident our Prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, proclaimed that Norway will respond to the terror with “more democracy”. Unless you are a Norwegian you will not be able to understand what he actually is meaning.
    “More democracy” means MORE public funding to the violent thugs in organizations like SOS rasisme (SOS racism), Antirasistisk senter (the Norwegian Center against racism) and other pro-multiculturalism, pro-socialist, pro-Labour party groups.
    More direct public funding to the newspapers, ALL of them more or less social-democratic. The transfer of public money to newspapers is rigged in such a way that labour-newspapers get a vast and disproportional part of the funding.
    Further, more money to our hard-left national public broadcaster. Nearly all of the former national broadcaster (NRK) bosses have been politicians from the Labour Party, Norway’s dominant party since World War II.
    He does NOT mean that we can finally vote on important topics through referendums. He knows perfectly well that the majority of Norwegians do not want to be a minority in their own country within just a few decades. Referendums, in Norwegian labour party’s new-speak, is an undemocratic instrument that will be misused by crude, anti-democratic populist forces, and must be avoided by all costs.
    Case in point: The Norwegian media chanted that we should not start a witch hunt, so they did not inform the public that the leader of AUF run away with the only ferry to the island, seconds after he heard shots. The ferry could take 50 persons (officially) and they were only 9. They fled so far away from the Island that the ferry was unavailable for the special forces (for more details see the youtube video (NOR/SWE only, sorry); Eskil Pedersen – feghetens ansikte. This in sharp contrast to the hysterical and frenetic witch hunt against any person who publicly disagree with the out-of-control mass immigration and Islam. They are labelled as NAZIs, right-wing extremists, racists, spiders etc. Their opinions are labelled as sewage, pure hate, venom etc. In short, Vi Glemmer Aldri, your fanatic slogans about more democracy are just that. Empty, sick slogans totally detached from reality. At least one major counter Jihadi blog has shut down and deleted all his posts, due to harassment and death threats.
    The Workers’ Youth League (Bokmål: Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking, Nynorsk: Arbeidaranes Ungdomsfylking, or AUF) is the youth organization affiliated with the Norwegian Labour Party.
    AUF was formed in April 1927, following the merger of Left Communist Youth League and Socialist Youth League of Norway.
  • At least Jews have their own country of Isreal to retire to when the world turns on them (as history shows it does from time to time).
    Where the hell do white atheists have to go?
  • A Norwegian
    Pamela Geller speaks the truth. If you want more information about the rabid anti-Semitism from the Labour party and other hard-left ideologues, read Bruce Bawer’s article:
    http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/alan-dershowitz-and-norwegian-anti-semitism/
    Bruce Bawer lives in Norway and speak Norwegian
  • A Norwegian
    Let see if AUF and the ruling Labour Party treat Anders Breivik and his supporters with the same “tolerance”, “understanding”, “mutual respect”, “dialogue”, public funding etc, that they have shown Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Or maybe everything is completely different when THEY are the victims and not the Jews?
  • A Norwegian
    I see many fanatic Norwegian socialists here whine and bitch about how much “democracy” we have in Norway, and they even claim that we will get much “more democracy”.
    Well, unlike them I present verifiable facts.
    According to the latest poll 51 of Norwegians are against the vast mass immigration to Norway. And we have NEVER gotten the opportunity to express our opinion regarding multiculturalism and the possibility that we within just a few decades may be a minority in our own country.
    This poll is of course completely buried by the media and nearly all of the AUFs I have talked to have never heard about it. Even though it was ordered and paid by the ministry of Immigration.
  • Bruce Bawer on the Islamization of Europe and Brevik:
    Norway, like the rest of Europe, is in serious trouble. Millions of European Muslims live in rigidly patriarchal families in rapidly growing enclaves where women are second-class citizens, and where non-Muslims dare not venture. Surveys show that an unsettling percentage of Muslims in Europe reject Western values, despise the countries they live in, support the execution of homosexuals, and want to replace democracy with Shariah law. (According to a poll conducted by the Telegraph, 40% of British Muslims want Shariah implemented in predominantly Muslim parts of the United Kingdom.)
    Muslim gay-bashing is driving gays out of Amsterdam. Muslim Jew-bashing is driving Jews out of Gothenburg, Sweden. And let’s not forget about the shameful trials of politician Geert Wilders in the Netherlands and historian Lars Hedegaard in Denmark, which demonstrate how the fear of Muslim wrath is squelching the freedom of speech of those who dare to criticize Islam.
    There is reason to be deeply concerned about all these things, and to want to see them addressed forcefully by government leaders who care about the preservation of individual liberty and human rights. But this cause has been seriously damaged by Anders Behring Breivik.
    In Norway, to speak negatively about any aspect of the Muslim faith has always been a touchy matter, inviting charges of “Islamophobia” and racism. It will, I fear, be a great deal more difficult to broach these issues now that this murderous madman has become the poster boy for the criticism of Islam.
  • Kaia Aardal
    Boicotting Isreal is not the official Norwegian line. See for yourselves on the foreign ministry webpage (Here in english, I used the search words Israel + boycott)
    http://www.regjeringen.no/en/dep/ud/search.html?querystring=boycott+israel
    Notice the wrinkles on the foreign ministers forehead as he passes the kids with the banner. The kids are probably pro-boycot, and this is actually allowed in Norway ( a democracy with freedom of speech.
    My point is: They were not thought to boycott Israel.
  • Eric
    Early on in the opinion cycle on the blogs this attack was being classified and impunged well before the whole picture could be painted. As it stands now we are still only seeing a few pixels of the big picture. There is a war going on but it isn’t recognized as such just yet as it’s being waged through political, economic and educational channels. The results are no less destructive to the victims though as their lives are being literally systematically destroyed. Think of the person caught in the mad crowd at a soccer event, the very life crushed out through the blind ignorance of passion.
    Now, think about the Art of War. It’s rules apply universally.
    Think hard because war consumes life indiscriminately, real war not the “civilized” version calculated in Geneva to make it fair. There hasn’t been a real war since the Huns removed the “civilized” from Rome. Pol Pot came close in action and the armies of Islam perform it routinely on small areas at a time so as not to be seen as a large threat.
    Now, I ask what is self defense now that war is defined by reality not treaties between like cultures.
  • What disgusting hatred from Pamela Geller. In her mind, anyone who doesnt agree with her on the Israeli question is obviously worth exterminating.
  • Will Pop
    Thing is, reading this discussion from Oslo where I am now, you all seem mad, both jihadists and counter-jihadists. You both claim to know the ultimate truth about everything and that you are superior to your opponents, some of whom you have simply made up.
    Just one thing about summer-camps: all the political parties in Norway have youth organisations and as far as I know they all meet up in the summer, including the right-wing ones. They are not about indoctrination, much more the opposite, it is a tradition that they critisize the political parties they are associated with.
    The violent conflict between Israel and the palestinian people .. I am sorry, but how does that relate to what just happened to us? It is sickening to see 22/7 used to stir up more hatred. Please stop.
    Because any criticism of Israel makes you a Nazi.
    Wow. Enlightening. But you don’t do this. Exposing the camp for what it is and who is sponsering it is good, but not this way.
  • I strongly disagree with the policies of Israel towards International Human Rights which is the foundation of many of Israels detractors arguments against it and I disagree with many of Israels policies regarding Gaza and the rights of Palestinians. However I love my Jewish sister-in law and my many Jewish friends whilst not thinking much of any organised religion the foundation in my opinion of so much hatred. Does this make me antisemitic?
    I just read the so called manifesto of this wacko, it’s heavy going, contradictory and very detailed. It strangely contains 4 pages on sugar beet farming! Quite how anyone other than the murderer is responsible for this tragedy is beyond me.
    Shame on all of you who been apportioning blame on Pamela Geller. It doesn’t add up and you know it.
    Although normally not one to comment, please forgive me as I could no longer fight the urge.
    Good ol’ US & A. Few things are nicer than the enchanting moment an American wonders why the entire planet despises them. Guess what? There’s plenty of that on here. <3.
    Firstly, I can't believe the level of mental retardation displayed on this website. Believe me, I know my internet classics and this one right here can compete with the best of 'em! A perfect hybrid: it's funny and saddening at the same time. In all honesty: we all need a laugh and a cry from time to time.
    It's very nice from God (Jebus?) to bless your backward, navel-gazing, Janus-faced, hypocritical shithole of a country above all others, isn't it? all be in awe of the great dollar cock sucking nation that (obviously?) has the God-given right to sodomize the world. Btw though, about fucking God... hope you ever get round to the fact that theres no such thing as "God". It's a meaningless, empty word. Unlike "shitbags", as in: "You idiotic, evolution-dodging shitbags!"
    Thanks as well for capitalism. Where would we be without it? *insert Nazi/Marxist/Sharia-land answers* Covering us (large parts of Europe and the world, I guess) with your shallow, malicious, cultural-economic (if you can call it cultural. lol. your country is literally culturally bankrupt, barring the odd musician or two) shit-stained blanket is, unsurprisingly something not much people seem to mind here. But I do. For the average European plebeian it feels nice and comfy. so kudos. Making the majority of a country's main desire to have a plasma TV, a Big Mac and an enjoyable dose of your latter day popular music is quite impressive. But let's not get into that.
    Any way, in the future it would be greatly appreciated if you kept yourself to yourself. Maybe your little friend Israel will be willing to act as a holiday resort, who knows? You can all sip Bud Light and be wonderfully oblivious and fascist. But yeah, please don't ever leave US & A.
    On topic (briefly): although I in no way deny that (Muslim) mass-immigration is a problem it's a bit fucking rich that the country that's partly responsible for breeding hate among many muslims acts like the little fag it. I know you Americans enjoy your ethnic cleansing from time to time (admittedly preferably outside of your own borders) but I can't quite understand how Muslim immigration in Europe concerns you? Are we perhaps a bit scared your carefully spoon fed military-industrial illusion of democracy is decaying here? Once again: the minding of ones own fucking business is considered to be a virtue, you obese CUNTS.
    Oh, on a side note, it was rather encouraging to finally see you get Churchilled* on 7/11. You breed and breed and breed hate for decades, killing millions of innocents in the process, and the first little terrorist attack you shit your pants and cry! lol!
    *referring to the UK's reaction to Hitler (more or less the Sarah Palin of his time) after his failed attack on their land.
    In conclusion: nobody other than yourself (egotistical bastards that you are) needs you nor wants you nor gives a fuck about what you say, feel or think.
    Since my state-financed prostitute is ringing the doorbell and my hemp plantation needs TLC I'll wrap this mail up by wishing you all a well-meant FUCK YOU. I could go as low as to wishing you all brain cancer but given the majority of scriptures on here I can only conclude that the lot of you have big, rotting, tumorous lumps for brains anyhoo.
    hugs & kisses from the Netherlands
    BUT what do we do with the black on white hatemongering and warmongering against JEWS & CHRISTIANS and open criticism in the billions of copies of the Koran & Hadiths???
    Allah & Muhammad ordains killing and lying in his Koran.
    S 47: 4, S 9: 29, S 3: 28
    Muslims take it as their duty to curse the Jews (S: 2:159) and thriving on insulting versus like S 62:5.
    Jew hatred started with Muhammad in 600 A.D already. Arabs are just using the occupation of Jewish land by the Arabs as an excuse to kill the Jews and Christians.
    After reading the first newspaper accounts of the tragedy in Norway, I knew that something was missing from this whole scenario. I suspected immediately that it was probably a left-wing training camp for future (community organizers), etc. It was worse than that, and how dare the news media portray it as an innocent summer camp, it appeared after dollops of truth caame out that it was truly a leftwing/cimmunist tyoe of indcotrination center under the guise of the “Labor” party. The first pictures that I saw on Fox News, were two young middle-eastern featured young women, but now Norway and the media are showing us boatloads of young whites and some older people who now are the face of this tragedy. Thanks to Atlas shrugs, we are receiving the facts. Berengaria
  • Wallace Brand
    In evaluating”the occupation” as justification for the terrorism and murder of Jews, Norway’s Ambassador must take as axioms 1. that the Arabs local to the West Bank have a claim of sovereignty over it and East Jerusalem superior to that of the Jews and that 2. the Jews are oppressing the local Arabs through their settlements and military control. Neither of those are correct. There are three bases for Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.
    A. God granted the area to the Jews.
    B. The WWI Allies, after capturing the Ottoman Empire, gave political rights to 99% of the areas in the Middle East and the maghreb to Arabs and Muslims, and at the same time gave exclusive political rights to Palestine, the remaining less than 1% to the Jews. But even though the Jews had had a majority of population in Jerusalem, it had only 10% of the population of all Palestine. Sovereignty requires several attributes as listed in a recent case denying the request for sovereign immunity to the PLO in a case in which their terrorist organization murdered Klinghoffer, a man in a wheelchair on a cruise ship by pushing him overboard. These include the power to control its population within the described boundaries of the nation state, to get its population to fight to defend it from foreign enemies, to tax its population for needed revenue, etc. Because the Jews were not ready, in 1920, to implement the needed attributes of sovereignty, the exclusive political rights were given to England in a “mandate or trust. (In his book, The Iron Cage, Raschid Khalidi, onetime spokesman for the PLO admits that as to political rights in Palestine the Arabs were ignored.) But even the exclusive political rights were limited by the grantors so that when the Jews obtained sovereignty, the Jews, in exercising their sovereignty were required to preserve the civil and religious rights of the non Jews. See: The Treaty of Sevres, Areticle 95 in which the Ottoman Empire transferred its rights to Palestine to the Mandatory Power with those limitations. That was left undisturbed in the amending Treaty of Lausanne.
    The WWI Allies at San Remo in 1920 adopted the policies of the Declaration Lord Balfour had made in 1917 and this agreement was confirmed and implemented by the League of Nations in a “mandate” or trust arrangement. See: Grief, “Legal Foundations Borders of Israel under International Law”, Brand, “Israeli Sovereignty over Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria,” http://www.think-israel.org/brand.jewishsovereignty.html When the League was disbanded, Article 80 of the UN Charter saved its previous grants. The UN now calls these arrangements “trusts”, apparently not willing to be burdened by the baggage of the League of Nations.
    The US declined to join the League of Nations and it considered the terms of the Mandate separately. President Wilson, a Progressive, disapproved of the granting of exclusive prolitical rights to the Jews because they did not in 1920 have a majority in all Palestine although they had enjoyed a population majority in Jerusalem since 1845. This would be inconsistent with his 14 points. But the plan was to give the Jews the political rights held in trust for them by the British, to attain sovereignty at a future time, after the diaspora Jews had an opportunity to return to the land Holy to them and create a majority. President Wilson did not prevail. A joint resolution of Congress approved the mandate and it was fully incorporated in a treaty between the US and the UK, in 1924, the Anglo American Convention that made it treaty law and as such domestic law of the US and UK.
    When in 1948, the British abandoned their trust, the exclusive political rights devolved to their beneficial owners, the Jews. Their representative was the nascent state of Israel.
    C. Julius Stone, an acclaimed scholar of International Law, has ruled that the West Bank, including the eastern part of Jerusalem that the Arab Legion, supplied and officered by the British, that during 1948 illegally invaded and captured (Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem), did not give Jordan sovereignty over it because they were won in an aggressive war. It’s claimed Jordanian sovereignty over the West Bank was recognized only by Great Britain and Pakistan. So when the IDF recaptured it in 1967 in a defensive war, they had not taken the property from a sovereign. It was not Jordanian property, it was at at best disputed property with the Jews having the far better claim. In any event, under international law, after its recapture in 1967, Israel had the right to occupy the area until the parties agreed on new boundaries that Israel could defend. This was codified in UN Resolution 242. Jordan has since, in a treaty with Israel, relinquished any rights it had in the East Bank. The legal opinion of the late Julius Stone on the matter can be found at: http://www.aijac.org.au/news/article/international-law-and-the-arab-israel-conflict#1 In 1948 the action of the UN was a recommendation for partition, a part to the Arabs. It was not a grant. A grant would have been inconsitent with the grant of the League of Nations that under Article 80, the UN was required to honnor.
    The second assumption of the Norwegians is that the Israelis have used their occupation to oppress the Jews by settlements and otherwise. The only evidence available shows the contrary. All US presidents except Jimmy Carter and Barrack Obama have accepted the lawfulness of the Jewish settlements. At least one economist and one historian has written how beneficial these settlements have been not only for the Jews, but also for the Arabs situated in Palestine. See:
    George Gilder, “The Economics of Settlement”: http://www.ruthfullyyours.com/2011/06/17/george-gilder-the-economics-of-settlement/
    Aat the end of the Six Day War in June, 1967, Israel unexpectedly found itself in control of some one million Palestinians, with no definite idea about their future status and lacking any concrete policy for their administration. In the wake of the war, the only objective adopted by then-Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan was to preserve normalcy in the territories through a mixture of economic inducements and a minimum of Israeli intervention. The idea was that the local populace would be given the freedom to administer itself as it wished, and would be able to maintain regular contact with the Arab world via the Jordan River bridges. In sharp contrast with, for example, the U.S. occupation of postwar Japan, which saw a general censorship of all Japanese media and a comprehensive revision of school curricula, Israel made no attempt to reshape Palestinian culture. It limited its oversight of the Arabic press in the territories to military and security matters, and allowed the continued use in local schools of Jordanian textbooks filled with vile anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda.
    Israel’s restraint in this sphere — which turned out to be desperately misguided — is only part of the story. The larger part, still untold in all its detail, is of the astounding social and economic progress made by the Palestinian Arabs under Israeli “oppression.” At the inception of the occupation, conditions in the territories were quite dire. Life expectancy was low; malnutrition, infectious diseases, and child mortality were rife; and the level of education was very poor. Prior to the 1967 war, fewer than 60 percent of all male adults had been employed, with unemployment among refugees running as high as 83 percent. Within a brief period after the war, Israeli occupation had led to dramatic improvements in general well-being, placing the population of the territories ahead of most of their Arab neighbors.
    In the economic sphere, most of this progress was the result of access to the far larger and more advanced Israeli economy: the number of Palestinians working in Israel rose from zero in 1967 to 66,000 in 1975 and 109,000 by 1986, accounting for 35 percent of the employed population of the West Bank and 45 percent in Gaza. Close to 2,000 industrial plants, employing almost half of the work force, were established in the territories under Israeli rule.
    During the 1970’s, the West Bank and Gaza constituted the fourth fastest-growing economy in the world.
    During the 1970’s, the West Bank and Gaza constituted the fourth fastest-growing economy in the world — ahead of such “wonders” as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Korea, and substantially ahead of Israel itself. Although GNP per capita grew somewhat more slowly, the rate was still high by international standards, with per-capita GNP expanding tenfold between 1968 and 1991 from $165 to $1,715 (compared with Jordan’s $1,050, Egypt’s $600, Turkey’s $1,630, and Tunisia’s $1,440). By 1999, Palestinian per-capita income was nearly double Syria’s, more than four times Yemen’s, and 10 percent higher than Jordan’s (one of the better off Arab states). Only the oil-rich Gulf states and Lebanon were more affluent.
    Under Israeli rule, the Palestinians also made vast progress in social welfare. Perhaps most significantly, mortality rates in the West Bank and Gaza fell by more than two-thirds between 1970 and 1990, while life expectancy rose from 48 years in 1967 to 72 in 2000 (compared with an average of 68 years for all the countries of the Middle East and North Africa). Israeli medical programs reduced the infant-mortality rate of 60 per 1,000 live births in 1968 to 15 per 1,000 in 2000 (in Iraq the rate is 64, in Egypt 40, in Jordan 23, in Syria 22). And under a systematic program of inoculation, childhood diseases like polio, whooping cough, tetanus, and measles were eradicated.
    No less remarkable were advances in the Palestinians’ standard of living. By 1986, 92.8 percent of the population in the West Bank and Gaza had electricity around the clock, as compared to 20.5 percent in 1967; 85 percent had running water in dwellings, as compared to 16 percent in 1967; 83.5 percent had electric or gas ranges for cooking, as compared to 4 percent in 1967; and so on for refrigerators, televisions, and cars.
    Finally, and perhaps most strikingly, during the two decades preceding the intifada of the late 1980’s, the number of schoolchildren in the territories grew by 102 percent, and the number of classes by 99 percent, though the population itself had grown by only 28 percent. Even more dramatic was the progress in higher education. At the time of the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, not a single university existed in these territories. By the early 1990’s, there were seven such institutions, boasting some 16,500 students. Illiteracy rates dropped to 14 percent of adults over age 15, compared with 69 percent in Morocco, 61 percent in Egypt, 45 percent in Tunisia, and 44 percent in Syria.
    Karsh: What Occupation. These benefits terminated when under Oslo the Peace Process Charade, the Arabs took over local control of the economy.
    Like I posted on Radosh: SOME of us “leftie campers” are not blind. Here’s the NOT PC truth: these Norwegian “campers” DO remind one of the Hitler Youth. They ARE indoctrinated into modern Jew hate, cloaked in nice, warm, fuzzy leftie sloganeering rhetoric. These “kids” (young adults) were being indoctrinated into the “Jews to the Transports” campaign of the 21st century.
    Too bad about deaths of people in general. Too bad parents lost their kids – horrible thing to bury your kids. As for their politics? THAT destroys the emotions felt for the loss. So there you have it – human nature.
    You called it, Pamela! This was a communist youth indoctrination camp, the Norwegian equivalent of the Mao’s red guard and the “Hitler youth.” However much one might detest Breivic’s methods, his analysis of who is responsible for the Islamization of europe is spot on.
    Waaaaaah! Waaaaaah! I’m a lefturd and, as such, I am oh so sensitive. Everything – EVERYTHING – somehow relates back to me and is about ME. Unless you think or, at least, speak as if you think exactly like me I will be offended. And I’ll tell you about it. Even if you speak to others – not me – in your own space – not mine – I will barge into your place to tell you about how you offend me. I will do this until you finally understand that you must think exactly as I do, believe what I believe, match your opinions to my opinions, and speak exactly as I speak, saying only what I say. I will do this because I’m oh so sensitive…to my own feelings, opinions and beliefs, that is – not yours. If you were open minded like I am, you would understand this.
    Your argument is undermined by statistics. Muslims committing major violence in Norway. Norway doesn’t _have_ major violence compared to most countries. Prior to the Oslo bombing and Utøya shooting, there had been just 132 murders in five years in the whole country. Don’t you think the Norwegians might be getting something right?
    Of course, the fact that Choudary stated his intention to put up the posters 2 weeks before the massacre, that they started going up a week before it, or that one person sticking some pieces of paper on bus stops is not “SHARIA CONTROLLED ZONES spreading across the country”, won’t stop you from saying “one has to wonder about the timing” or trying to make it sound like some Islamist mafia is in charge of parts of London. Choudary is an inveterate publicity seeker, and he depends on hysterical people like you to get his publicity. He is meaningless. His ‘group’ consists mostly of his family. He’s like Fred Phelps, but with about a tenth of the impact (but he’s just as bigoted).
    Hi
    I understand you want to make the horror of Breivink’s murderous rampage less terrible. And one way to do it is by finding reasons why the people on that island were not ok. It is understandable, because that makes the shock less severe. But it is a mistake. An understandable mistake, but a mistake nevertheless.
    Listen, even if they were genuine Neo-Nazi’s and even if they expressed their complete and utter support for Hamas and all of its goals, even then this awefull crime would be just as horrible. Yes they were opposing Israel. I don’t like it, but it is their right.
    I hate the left. I really do. I lived in Israel, served in the army, my parents are Holocaust survivors. Yet no matter how much I feel threatened by the left, I am on their side in this. A monsterous crime was commited. Let’s stand with the victims.
    All you achieve by your arguments that the victims were not ok, is that you give the survivors and their opponents excuses as why their murder was justified. I am not saying that this is what you do.
    I am saying this is how it looks like. Think about our enemies. Think about Ward Churchill calling the victims of 9/11 little Eichmans. Did that not feel like a justification for those attacks?
    So please, stop this.
    Oh and Breivink isn’t deranged. He wants war and he seems to know how to get it. Don’t help him!
    Sigmund Freud theorized that people most hate in others what they dislike about themselves. That idea is instructive here because radical islamists and people like yourself are really two birds of the same feather. You are both radically conservative, both intimate that a class of people is subhuman (for you it’s Muslims, for them it’s anyone who is not Muslim), and you both seek to annihilate the other.
    Meanwhile, the good people of the watch in horror, hoping and praying that neither of you ever get too much power.
    So you’re drawing an equivalence between mowing down people in cold blood and protesting Israel’s policies? You sure do seem to imply that these kids got what they deserved. Perhaps you be spending less time revising and removing your old posts to distance yourself from this situation and spending more time thinking about what a hateful person you are.
  • Looks like the Norwegians just never learned.
    Even after the attack, their diplomat in Israel was defending terrorism
  • Desert Sun
    I was just in Oslo (as I have been many times) and detected none of the things that you so clearly see from 8,000 miles away. There is no more peace-loving and tolerant people than the Norwegians. As for immigration, from what I have seen, it is minor (a few percentage points at best) but the few immigrants there are a source of great pride for the Norwegian people. As for Norwegian-Israeli relations, WTF? They seem normal to me.
    Your comments on the lack of “pure” Norwegian faces in the youth-camp crowd is a tribute to your cultural and historical ignorance. Norwegians among the Nordic peoples (Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland) are the most heterogeneous in terms of ethnicity. Successive invasions, shipwrecks, and trading parties from other parts of Europe — not to mention the hostages the Norwegian Vikings brought home from other parts of Europe — have quite eliminated the “pure” type that Hitler so admired in his Nordic-wannabee fantasies. In fact, one of Breivik’s characteristics that differentiates him from other Norwegians, other than his psychopathology, is the fact that he looks stereotypically “Norwegian.” He just needs a helmet with horns.
    All of which is to say, you write from a powerful ignorance and sadly an inability to discriminate between good and bad, right and wrong, and truth and falsehood. You do your readers a continuous injustice if this is the quality of your work. And in this case, you do the Norwegians a terrific injustice. Until you have fought Nazis as did the Norwegian Resistance, until you have invested the bulk of your fortune in various sustainability-themed and Third World-development enterprises (as has the Norwegian national pension fund), until you have welcomed refugees into your home as have my Norwegian friends, you are in no position to comment on Norway.
    I shared these comments with Norwegian friends and unanimously they agreed, suggesting (in their perfect English) that I end my comments with … STFU! (In Norwegian, it’s something like “samleie kjeft”! You get the point.
  • Whoever wrote this, is a complete nutter.
    And what makes you think the children where related to ‘the ruling elite’? You are confusing party membership for a family relation. It wasn’t just the French revolution they didn’t teach you at school, apparantly they forgot the birds and the bees as well.
    And by the way. Beck is a nutter too. Agreeing with a known nutter is something one keeps secret during a polemic, since it harms ones argument.
    ADHD more like 259 million people murdered by atheists.
    http://conservapedia.com/Atheism_and_Mass_Murder
    And still today people are murdered by atheist regimes in Burma, China, Northkorea, Venezuela, Cuba etc. etc.
    Then also add the people being murdered by the atheists allies the muhammadans.
    The murder count is very high indeed, not to talk about the millions upon millions enslaved by the ideologies, it’s a pity these scum ideologies are not outlawed.
    What? No mention of your hiding information from some loony in Norway with a stash of guns? Information that might have prevented this.
    How’s that “I’m not anti-Muslim” claim working for you these days, Pamela? You are a sick and disgusting individual, no better than that abhorrent Brigitte Gabriel at spewing your filthy hate-laced rhetoric. It’s people like you who should be ashamed to call themselves members of the human race. You’re a disappointment in the eyes of your God (Judge not lest ye be judged, or did you happen to forget about that?).
  • Alan
    Pamela, thank you for speaking the truth about this Norwegian “summer camp”. It was a communist youth indoctrination camp, not much different than Hitler Youth or Mao’s Red Guard.
    I deplore Breivic’s violent methods, but his analysis of who is responsible for the Islamization of Europe is spot on! The ruling Socialist elite have brought this violence on themselves by pandering to muslim behavior and failing to protect Norwegian society.
  • James
    My opinion may be different, but I don’t consider a camp targeted at teens to be an “indoctrination camp”. I was very interested and open-minded in politics when I was 14/15 years old and learning a lot, and probably would have considered going to a camp like this if one had been available to me to learn more and become more involved in the political system. I think many teens are open-minded enough to take info with a grain of salt, especially ones who voluntarily choose to attend a camp on politics.
    However, something along the Tampa 912 project (http://www.meetup.com/tampa912/), which is targeted at much younger children, seems a more likely target for an “indoctrination camp”. When I was 10, I didn’t choose what camps I went to — my parents did (of course, they didn’t *make* me go, but would urge me to go to get me out of the house lol). Forcing kids to accept “America is good”, creating interactive scenarios showing kids that Europe is colorless and boring while America is explosive and awesome, etc. are pretty interesting techniques. I’m not saying it’s brainwashing, but I think it’s a good example of a very similar camp on the other side of the spectrum.
    So what? What does their political view matter? it does nto change anything about the horrific murdering of people. Norway is a ree and democratic country, it is totaly legal to hold the political views they hold. and them having a political view you don’t like, doesn’t make the crime any more resonable or even justified.
    I am a Swede with a wife from Oklahoma, we have been married for the last 10 years, we live in Sweden, we have a good contact with her family and we talk about the situation in US almost daily.
    I think I understand the US fairly well by now but I am really careful when I talk about the US. The difference in mindset is actually quite astonishing.
    This goes both ways and my wife still needs to re-adjust her context from time to time despite being here for more than a decade.
    I think I see where you are coming from with this post but it’s entirely out of context from a Nordic point of view. I don’t expect you to understand our context, but to respect the fact that there is a difference. Your post makes me sad and I’m not even a Norwegian nor a socialist.
  • Chris
    As far as I know, the youth wings of the 8 major political parties in Norway all have summer camps. The people attending the summer camps will tend to be the most engaged members of the youth parties.
    The purpose of the camps is networking, learning and fun — all certainly centered around the political messages of the party, but to call it indoctrination you’d have to show that they forbid critical thinking and debate, and I doubt that’s the case. It certainly was not the case when I was at the summer camp for young liberals about half a decade ago.
    As for the whole anti-israeli=nazi argument.. Could you explicate your thinking there, because I’m pretty close to just invoking Goodwin’s law here.
    Good morning you haters, bigots, elitists, racists, white, black, brown, olive skinned I have news for you all. The white race is at the end of its cycle. No longer can the whites exploit other races with its arrogance, abuse and calling every skin colored person as second class or worse people. The average birth rate of the whites stands now at about 1,8 birth per woman. In order to sustain a culture it needs to be around 4,5 birth per woman. Instead of hating each other with incendiary comments, blogs and defamatory comments we (the whites) should start to get along with each other regardless of religion, beliefs skin and upbringings. I welcome the fact that Indians, Chinese have now an opportunity to take part in eating the cake (economic) that was reserved so long for the white supremacist. India produces one of the worlds best engineers.The Chinese are highly intelligent, industrious and result-oriented people, the Arabs flocked to the European continent because we invited them to do the “dirty” work, which none of the European wants to do anyway (street cleaning, laborers, garbage collectors, factory workers etc.). With the immigration of these individuals they bring with them their own symbols, ethnic, religious etc. and we have to respect them as the US did at the turn of the 20th century, when they were flooded with mostly European immigrants.
    Sorry for all your blabbermouth whites the end game is in progress and there is nothing to stop it.
    PEACE and UNDERSTANDING for all.
    This was the most abominable post I’ve ever read by this person. A particularly nasty smearing of mildly centre left young people by a number of people posting here. Basically you are justifying their murder at the hands of one of her acolytes. Did Ms Geller ever think about how these young people’s families would feel about them being equated to communist or hitler youth? Accusing everyone who dissents from her views of being a communist is just not good enough. And tossing around the old anti-Israel is anti semitism slur does not work either. You are a disgrace Ms Geller and it is a disgrace that the American media can not see you for the racist rabble rouser that you are.
  • Marc
    Pfft,
    all this talk about statistics on ‘Muslim’ Killings is taken out of context. Some Emotional women posted some comment about how 164 people were killed this week by Muslim terror. Yeah. The people who died were probably Muslims themselves. Oh wait did she include the fighting in Libya, Syria? All have NOTHING to do with Religion. (Oh but by the way, most of the citizens that demonstrated in the Arab Spring came were spurned by the Islamic Community…guess you just ignored that the Muslim Brotherhoods of the ME actually don’t want to be ruled by dictators)…
    And when it comes to Israel…
    Well the fact of the matter is that Israel is a Eastern European Colonial state that continues to steal land, kill people all in the name of some fanatical religious settler Zionist ideals. Which are pretty incompatible with Democracy. BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
    And no I don’t believe the actions of the holocaust and Europe Anti-Semitism (Yes looking at you Christian Europe) Justify the continued theft of land which goes on day to day.
    OMG did someone just call the West Bank – Judea and Samaria. Seriously, get the head out of the Romanian’s Zionist ass. It’s called the WEST BANK. Just because you want to deligitemize the Arab Palestinian claim to some Israeli controlled land by calling it by a 3000 year old name is just MORE BULLSHIT by a BULLSHIT ARTIST.
  • As soon as I heard about the shooting at the camp I told my wife that there was more to this and there was another reason why he did what he did. And I was right. No one chases down and shoots someone without a reason. And if anyone is responsible for these killings it is Anjem Choudary and others like him and islam. Islam is trying to take over the world again and all people can say is we have islamphobia or we need to coexist with muslims. There is no coexisting with them. Their quran will not let them and there are no moderate muslims as they believe you are either for or against islam. Either become muslim or your dead. Stop sugar coating islam. Islam is not peace, it is a sick ideology..Peace
    “Antisemitic Indoctrination Training Center”
    Congratulations. This was the most stupid and ignorant defense of a heinous terrorist act that I have ever seen. And I’ve seen quite a few.
    Yes, the AUF is apparently against Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank and so is the United Nations and much of the rest of the world.
    You present evidence for AUF’s stance in the Middle East conflict but no evidence that any of the murdered children was an antisemite.
    FYI, the Middle East conflict is not a bigger issue in Norway than it is in any other Western country. The kids obviously discussed Israel’s occupation, as one out of numerous issues – the other ones probably being economics, health care, education, gender issues, etc.
    This post needs to be spread to many Europeans. It is just as repulsive as the numerous websites which praised 9/11 – only much more ignorant about the facts on the ground.
    Your post could actually serve as a wakeup call for Europeans who haven’t previously actively opposed US foreign policy in general and the Israeli occupation in particular.
    Thanks, Pamela!
  • Natasha
    Oh, now I read your lip service sentence “There is no justification for Breivik’s actions whatsoever”.
    I’m not gonna apologise though. The rest of your post clearly conveys that you actually think that these kids deserved to be murdered.
    Thank you again, Pamela!
    God, you’re insane. It was not an “indoctrination center”. It was a summer gathering of young member of the social democratic party, the ruling party in Norway, which is quite liberal and not at all extreme. Unlike you and your followers. The killer in Norway was, like you, a right-wing extremist and a self described Christian. Try as you will, but right-wing Christian extremists cannot wash their hands free of this one.
  • Eli Harklau
    Greetings from Norway.
    I am not in favor of our labour party. But I have to say you’ve got the picture all wrong!
    First of all: The AUF (Labour youth party) is NOT in favor of islamic terror in Israel! I believe no one in Norway is in favor of this. We find all kinds of terror horrible! Some people in Norway feel that innocent Palestinian people are being treated unfairly, losing their land. But this does NOT justify terror. NO political parties in Norway would justify islamic terror. I feel for all victims in Israel!
    Second: The summer camps for political parties in Norway has nothing to do with indoctrination. From the far right to the far left, we value critical and independant thinking. Maybe you should come to Norway and meet these youths and see how things work here, before lashing out – reacting only on fragments of speeches and random quotations taken out of context.
    You’re writing: “Breivik was targeting the future leaders of the party responsible for flooding Norway with Muslims who refuse to assimilate, who commit major violence against Norwegian natives, including violent gang rapes, with impunity, and who live on the dole… all done without the consent of the Norwegians.”
    This is wrong. First of all – most muslims in Norway are peaceful and friendly people, I don’t know what your point is by generalizing all muslims as “scum”. There are bad people among all nationalities and religions. There have been some rapes in Norway, but most of them were done by Norwegian men. “all done without the consent of the Norwegians”??? The Norwegians have elected the labour party. We are a democratic country. I’m not a Labour person myself, but I’m happy to let different nationalities, christians, muslims, jews, hindus, buddhists, atheists live in our country. And as long as most Norwegians vote for Labour, we’ll have to assume that they agree with Labours politics.
    All Norwegians, with all different political views, are in mourning. We have lost some of our finest youths.
  • A Norwegian
    Want to know why Anders Breivik snapped?
    Norway is a pseudo-democracy. After the shooting incident our Prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, proclaimed that Norway will respond to the terror with “more democracy”. Unless you are a Norwegian you will not be able to understand what he actually is meaning.
    “More democracy” means MORE public funding to the violent thugs in organizations like SOS rasisme (SOS racism), Antirasistisk senter (the Norwegian Center against racism) and other pro-multiculturalism, pro-socialist, pro-Labour party groups.
    More direct public funding to the newspapers, ALL of them more or less social-democratic. The transfer of public money to newspapers is rigged in such a way that labour-newspapers get a vast and disproportional part of the funding.
    Further, more money to our hard-left national public broadcaster. Nearly all of the former national broadcaster (NRK) bosses have been politicians from the Labour Party, Norway’s dominant party since World War II.
    He does NOT mean that we can finally vote on important topics through referendums. He knows perfectly well that the majority of Norwegians do not want to be a minority in their own country within just a few decades. Referendums, in Norwegian labour party’s new-speak, is an undemocratic instrument that will be misused by crude, anti-democratic populist forces, and must be avoided by all costs.
    The Labour party and most youths in the Labour Youth party are NOT in favor of boycotting Israel. The picture on your blog with the “boikott Israel”-sign is taken from a socialist youth party in Norway. They are in the far left, and have nothing to do with the Labour party.
  • jonoslo
PleasePleasePlease learn to check out more informative sources about facts before you start ranting you hate and fear.To link the political dialog at Utøya and the life of a legal and innocent youth party in one of the most democratic countries in the world with ‘hitler youths and jihad supporters’ is just plain stupid.
    I really just have to say how sorry I feel for Mrs. Geller…
    I don’t understand what here problem is, but I find it problematic that she thinks that it is allright that several of my friends where killed by the worst single-man masmurderer the world has ever seen! I feel sorry for her, I really do! I belong to the labour party and i can not say that I in any way accepts the killing of Israeli people, BUT NOR Palistinians! I understand that she thinks it is okay to kill Palistinians and Norwegians becaus they think and belive in something else then her. That she put her self and the Israeli people higher than other poeple. Who should ever belive that she and other jews learned anything for WW2!? So I just have to say how sorry I am for her… Right now I just want to give my friends a last and worthy goodbye, even though people like Geller does everything in her power to make their memory as grey as possible.
    @ ADHD; From a speech made by Hitler
    “My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.
    -Adolf Hitler, in a speech on 12 April 1922 (Norman H. Baynes, ed. The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, April 1922-August 1939, Vol. 1 of 2, pp. 19-20, Oxford University Press, 1942)
    Get a grip on yourself! You have totally misunderstood the whole point of this summer camp. Some of my friends have been there a couple of times, and they always look forward to be there because they’re having so much fun! They are bands playing concerts and they have football and volleyball tournaments with the top polticians in Norway, and they also debate a lot. They express their own opinions, they’re not being brainwashed. They choose to be there because it’s a summer paradise where they can have fun and also learn and work with their interests in politics. If you’d been there, maybe you would produce less hate and more love.
  • Karianne
    Greetings from Norway!
    Now that you American pieces of… ehhh freedom embraces are finished expressing your ignorance, I would like to make a few points:
    -Mrs. Geller you really need to do a history course on the middle east, you dont know shit. I suggest you come over to Bergen and attend my uni to do a course led by the most acknowledged specialists on Islam in the country, namely my former professor. I’m sure he would love to debate with you.
    -Have you ever been to Norway? thought as much. Most Americans doesnt even know we exist, that’s ok, we tend to keep to ourselves. Maybe you should study our history a wee bit more carefully before assuming things like you’re own twisted theories as to why we arrange political summer camps for our youths. Sorry I do understand this is not a very common phenomenon in The States, not like you have more than two parties anyway, and its not like you want enlighetened people to get involved in politics.
    -You can’t understand everyting, you try too hard.
    -Get a new hobby.
    -Our democracy is working perfectly alright thank you.
    -Also, the quote you present at the very beginning of this entry havent been verified by any Norwegian or international media except that site. Fishy much?
    -Not to mention your appalling use of sources. Have you ever thought of doing some additional reserach rather than look up the most obvious sources that back your claims? I dont know, you seem to be fairly familiar with the internet? How about reading a book or two?
    See what i did just there? annoying isnt it? when people write things like that?
    Oh and btw im a history student so dont try give me any history lecture on anti semitism, islam or my country. Just dont bother.
    you dont get it anyway, and you never will.
    Over og ut, farvel.
    Have you read up on the politics in Norway, how the people there are, how our government works or how our country in general works?
    If not, shut the f&%& up.
    You do not know Norway from the inside out, you have never lived there, you probably haven’t even visited the country, but still you claim the facts stated above to be true?! How can you spread lies and pure bullshit, when you clearly have NO fricking idea what was going on on Utøya and in Oslo?
    You are one of the americans that really make me ashamed to ever have moved to this country, I am proud to be a norwegian citizen and I am very glad I don’t have anything in common with your lost and pitiful soul. To spread lies and untrue facts…you should be ashamed of yourself. No wonder americans have a bad rep in Europe.
    Last but not least: FUCK YOU. Norway is grieving right now and it takes a soulless bitch to write this post. May you rest in pieces, hopefully soon.
    For what it is worth, here are some facts and opinions you should consider:
    – Norway is not a communist country by any standards. People who believe this do not really know what communism is. Norway is a liberal democracy. Political parties may form freely. All Norwegian citizens above 18 years of age have the right to vote. Comparing the Norwegian political and economic system with the theories of Marx or the praxis of USSR or China makes this self evident. Denying these facts, make discussion very very difficult.
    – For some reason, some people – mostly Americans – hold the level of income taxation as an indicator of the degree of “how communistic” a country is. 14 countries in Europe have a higher income taxation level than does Norway, many of these countries are run by conservatives. Most countries in Europe have for instance a highly subsidized health care system and unlike the US this is fairly uncontroversial. We regard a “free” healthcare system for all citizens as natural – not a communist atrocity.
    – Norwegians pay on average a whoppin’ 7% more income tax than US citizens. The reason why most of us are not complaining about this, is that our tax money actually provides for a good society. These money fund health care, education, free libraries, social benefit, subsidized kindergartens and afterschool activities, one year parental leave, governmental economic child support for all children, subsidized medicines, subsidized public communication, subsidization of all newspapers (yes – even the conservative ones;) and public broadcasting.
    – While there of course is domestic political debate on e.g. the level of income taxation – for an outsider it might be somewhat difficult to point out huge differences in actual policies regarding this issue. Actually, the largest “far right” party in Norway – the Progression Party or Fremskrittspartiet – would be considered leftist by many US citizens. There are of course differences – in my case, being a liberal Høyre supporter (a Conservative or Tory), I strongly believe in less stately ownership, the abolishment of property taxes, a healthy privatization and so on. But to be fair – my preferred state budget needs funding too – and compared to other countries, the difference in policies between my party and the labour party is in some respects more about the way we argue than the way we would execute laws and taxation, and otherwise govern our country. There is a broad consent across the political establishment regarding issues that would be much more controversial in the US: We believe in public health care, in stately run hospitals, in a extended welfare system, in accepting our share of UN approved refugees etc.. That being said, I do not personally feel comfortable about being governed by the current coalition of centre-leftists, and I strongly object to many parts of their policies.
    – Unlike the USA – and here’s where many US citizens will regard me a leftist – this “communist” country won’t go bancrupt within the next 20 years. This I believe is mostly due to the fact that we do not spend most of our tax income on great military peacemongering antiradicalization successes in the Muslim world. (Yes, you guessed right – this liberal-conservative do NOT believe in much of the US foreign policy regarding military presence in e.g. the muslim world. I strongly believe this actually is counterproductive in winning the fight against the ongoing radicalization of Islam in many parts of the world. Here, I must admit, I differ in opinion with quite a few of my fellow conservatives)
    Facts are, however that you guys’n’gals (- 310 million of 7 billion or 4,5 percent of the world population -) are currently financing 43% of the total world military budget. This is neither good domestic policy, nor is it bringing much peace to the world. If the US of A do not realize this, I really believe the dollar is in grave danger – a prospect I think is very frightening indeed.
    – Since some of you guys obviously don’t know anything about my country, Norway is not subject to any form of islamic rule. Muslims or any other religious group are not above any laws in this country. Norway is a democracy with more than two political parties – parties btw who actually respect the votes of the people and make sure that the people who count the votes know how to count.
    Norway is a safe country:
    – At least until a radical “christian-conservative” decided otherwise, you were 8 times less likely to be murdered in Norway than in the USA.
    – In Norway 20 in 100 000 press charges for rape. In the US 29 in 100 000 press charges for rape. (It is believed that only 10 percent of rapes in Norway are reported to the police. People (women) are most commonly raped by their partner/husband or an acquaintance/friend. Immigrants from warridden countries in Africa are overrepresented in rapes-by-stranger – reasons for this might be a mixture of personal background/history, social/cultural background and status, but absolutely no serious researcher into this field will hold religion as a statisticly relevant motivator for such acts.)
    Other facts:
    Compared to the US, we..
    … are better educated
    … are less fat
    … live longer
    … have fewer poor people.
    In fact Norway have been regarded amongst the top three countries to live in for several years now – and even if one disagrees with such “surveys”, at least they give an indication that the smell of the State of Norway cannot be that rotten?
    That’s my muslimlovin’ communist millitant atheist country for ya! It is of course all a big propagandaist lie – and you guys know better to trust anything you read on the internet, right?
  • Gina
    Hm, I wonder where all the your information about this so-called Norway is taken (out of context) from. Funny, I’ve been having this strange (obviously) feeling of living in an open and tolerant society, where justice and fairness is regarded just as important as freedom of speech and religion. Oh, but, that’s just me it seems, when reading your neutral and constructive considerations.
    Anyhow, I still believe in a world less polarized and more tolerant, and how ever tragic the killings in Utøya and Oslo, the Norway I witness now is even more warm and open. My hope is that this will rub of on the rest of our beautiful and diversed earth.
    – For some reason, some people – mostly Americans – hold the level of income taxation as an indicator of the degree of “how communistic” a country is. 14 countries in Europe have a higher income taxation level than does Norway, many of these countries are run by conservatives. Most countries in Europe have for instance a highly subsidized health care system and unlike the US this is fairly uncontroversial. We regard a “free” healthcare system for all citizens as natural – not a communist atrocity.
    – Norwegians pay on average a whoppin’ 7% more income tax than US citizens. The reason why most of us are not complaining about this, is that our tax money actually provides for a good society. These money fund health care, education, free libraries, social benefit, subsidized kindergartens and afterschool activities, one year parental leave, governmental economic child support for all children, subsidized medicines, subsidized public communication, subsidization of all newspapers (yes – even the conservative ones;) and public broadcasting.
    – While there of course is domestic political debate on e.g. the level of income taxation – for an outsider it might be somewhat difficult to point out huge differences in actual policies regarding this issue. Actually, the largest “far right” party in Norway – the Progression Party or Fremskrittspartiet – would be considered leftist by many US citizens. There are of course differences – in my case, being a liberal Høyre supporter (a Conservative or Tory), I strongly believe in less stately ownership, the abolishment of property taxes, a healthy privatization and so on. But to be fair – my preferred state budget needs funding too – and compared to other countries, the difference in policies between my party and the labour party is in some respects more about the way we argue than the way we would execute laws and taxation, and otherwise govern our country. There is a broad consent across the political establishment regarding issues that would be much more controversial in the US: We believe in public health care, in stately run hospitals, in a extended welfare system, in accepting our share of UN approved refugees etc.. That being said, I do not personally feel comfortable about being governed by the current coalition of centre-leftists, and I strongly object to many parts of their policies.
    – Unlike the USA – and here’s where many US citizens will regard me a leftist – this “communist” country won’t go bancrupt within the next 20 years. This I believe is mostly due to the fact that we do not spend most of our tax income on great military peacemongering antiradicalization successes in the Muslim world. (Yes, you guessed right – this liberal-conservative do NOT believe in much of the US foreign policy regarding military presence in e.g. the muslim world. I strongly believe this actually is counterproductive in winning the fight against the ongoing radicalization of Islam in many parts of the world. Here, I must admit, I differ in opinion with quite a few of my fellow conservatives)
    Facts are, however that you guys’n’gals (- 310 million of 7 billion or 4,5 percent of the world population -) are currently financing 43% of the total world military budget. This is neither good domestic policy, nor is it bringing much peace to the world. If the US of A do not realize this, I really believe the dollar is in grave danger – a prospect I think is very frightening indeed.
    – Since some of you guys obviously don’t know anything about my country, Norway is not subject to any form of islamic rule. Muslims or any other religious group are not above any laws in this country. Norway is a democracy with more than two political parties – parties btw who actually respect the votes of the people and make sure that the people who count the votes know how to count.
    Norway is a safe country:
    – At least until a radical “christian-conservative” decided otherwise, you were 8 times less likely to be murdered in Norway than in the USA.
    – In Norway 20 in 100 000 press charges for rape. In the US 29 in 100 000 press charges for rape. (It is believed that only 10 percent of rapes in Norway are reported to the police. People (women) are most commonly raped by their partner/husband or an acquaintance/friend. Immigrants from warridden countries in Africa are overrepresented in rapes-by-stranger – reasons for this might be a mixture of personal background/history, social/cultural background and status, but absolutely no serious researcher into this field will hold religion as a statisticly relevant motivator for such acts.)
    Other facts:
    Compared to the US, we..
    … are better educated
    … are less fat
    … live longer
    … have fewer poor people.
    In fact Norway have been regarded amongst the top three countries to live in for several years now – and even if one disagrees with such “surveys”, at least they give an indication that the smell of the State of Norway cannot be that rotten?
    That’s my muslimlovin’ communist millitant atheist country for ya! It is of course all a big propagandaist lie – and you guys know better to trust anything you read on the internet, right?
    Thanks for your twisted version of the truth Hitler. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you think you are right, why have you removed the more racist elements from the original blog post, where you sounded like a modern day version of hitler? People who are interested can still view a snapshot of the original blog here: http://thinkprogress.org/security/2011/08/01/284011/pam-geller-race-mixing-breivik-right/
    Every political party in Norway has its own youth party, on both wings of the political spectrum. And most of them have summer camps.
    Also, being anti-suppressive is not the same as being anti-semitic.
  • Robert
    Left wing young adults attending a youth camp for future leaders by their own volition? EVIL NAZI INDOCTRINATION!
    Right wing parents taking their kids to Tea Party rallies and making them hold signs they don’t even understand? GOOD WHOLESOME VALUES!
    Yup. This is what you actually believe.
  • At least I have an IQ
    So sad but when a population is indoctrinated to allow Christianity to precedence over all logic, reason and even compassion. You are all brainwashed xenophobes.
    Oh, wait, my sincere apologies for utilising academic English. Here is a definition for you, for future reference: Xenophobia is defined as the “hatred or fear of foreigners or strangers or of their politics or culture”.It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning “stranger,” “foreigner” and φόβος (phobos), meaning “fear”.
    Xenophobia can manifest itself in many ways involving the relations and perceptions of an ingroup towards an outgroup, including a fear of losing identity, suspicion of its activities, aggression, and desire to eliminate its presence to secure a presumed purity. Xenophobia can also be exhibited in the form of an “uncritical exaltation of another culture” in which a culture is ascribed “an unreal, stereotyped and exotic quality”.
    So, basically you’re taking a moment when YOUR ideas have been lived out with horrendous results, a moment when you could stand back and reflect on the way you and your ilk have helped provide a scaffolding for the beliefs of a murderer, and then CHOOSE TO PROVIDE A DEFENSE OF THOSE ACTIONS? So, in essence, you’re handing over not just a rationale but SUPPORT for Breivik? THE VICTIMS HAD IT COMING? Since the camp was devoted to engaging teenagers in political discussion, would you also defend an attack on a US Model UN? How is it possible that your understanding of the world has grown so confused? How is it possible that your brains have fallen victim to such an astonishingly virulent feedback loop? BREIVIK IS ONE LOGICAL CONCLUSION TO THE BELIEFS ENGENDERED BY THIS WEBSITE. Nothing you do–beg for cash, claim to be victims of a witch hunt–will change this. No citation of the crimes of “the Left” will change this. BREIVIK IS YOUR MAN. YOU HELPED BUILD HIM. HE REFERENCED YOU IN HIS MANIFESTO. YOU HELPED SUPPORT HIS IDEAS. You need to ACCEPT this. To do anything else is disgusting, and a waste of a moment when you can rethink your position. To do anything else helps create more Breiviks.
    My dear, the biggest joke of all is that you’re the fascist. Every move made by you and your com(patriots) was scripted in advance by the slick media machine of the Third Reich, in its condemnation of Marxists, progressives, gypsies, immigrants, “degenerates” and homosexuals. That you side with Jews is the only difference. That Jewish thinkers have contributed more than their share of intellectual activity advancing the causes of progressives, “degenerates,” homosexuals–not to mention the ideas of Marx–seems to have escaped your notice. Only the Third Reich would talk in such positive terms about “purity.” Your work is the premeditation for violence carried out by people whose actions only *resemble* those of the mentally ill. The best way to see this website is as the theoretical arm for the calculation of mass murder, undertaken in “defense” of the heimat. I wouldn’t be surprised if, from this point forward, you kept a framed picture of Breivik in a drawer of your desk, so you could consult it in moments of self-doubt.
    you all make me sick and ashamed to be a part of the human race. and reading your post has never made me more proud to be a socialist, an atheist or norwegian. because i realize that all the hate and the prejudice that you carry, the unrooted fear of the unknown, the twisting of facts and truths to accompany your own beliefs, they are not my problem. just know that it was this kind of mind set, this fear of other peoples right to think for themselves, to make their own decisions, their own judgements, their own political views – it was that fear, that you and many of you readers, obviously possess,that killed one of my friends, and one of my friend’s cousin. propaganda like this is what made a man, if one can even call him that, justify to himself the killing of innocent children. children at the age of seven, at eleven, at twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen – people. have you forgotten that they were all people? if osama bin laden was a islamic terrorist, then ABB was a christian terrorist. and those are the facts. now you will say that most christians do not go to those extremes, or have his views – but do you think that all muslims have the same view as bin laden? honestly, you cannot be that naiv?
    but in the end it doesn’t really matter. my comment will by 99% not make you view this differently, and your blog will probably continue as normal. it doesn’t matter. your opinion doesn’t matter. all that matters is that norway will continue as the open, loving, seculare, multicultural, DEMOCRATIC, FREE country it has always been. and that, trumphs all of your hate and disdain. the only way to fight ignorance, is by education. the only way to fight hate, is through love. so you know, that even though you are writing hateful lies, a justification of a brutal, inhuman act of violence. in norway there are ATHEISTS and christians, and buddhists, and muslims, and hindus – people of all religions – who love you, just because you are using your freedom of speech (no matter how much we might disagree with it), and also because loving you is the only way. because love conquers all, and for there to be love, there must be freedom and there must be democracy and there must be humanity.
    oh and one more thing, for you fact checking – ALL of the political parties, left wing to right – in norway have a youth organisation which ALL organize youth camps, where the youth can develop an interest in politics and how our country is ruled. it is a great thing for the democracy, for young people having a voice in the political life of the country.
    Hi all,
    Being a Norwegian I don’t recognize many of the descriptions of Norway and Norwegian society given in this discussion. I challenge you all to learn more so that opinions are not based on wrong facts and misunderstandings. Norway is a free, democratic and safe country. I know, I live here.
  • Daniel
    It takes an onverwhelming amount of ignorance to be unable to discriminate between Social Democrats and Communists. Social democracy is about supporting a free democratic society, with well-regulated free market, in which solidarity for your fellow citizens matters a little more than excessive self interest.
    What was in essence, a camp of young well-educated people who wanted to get actively engaged in molding the society which they live in (as opposed to sitting on the couch at home wathcing whatever reality television and/or sitcom garbage that is popular with the youth), has been described here on this blog and in subsequent comments as a Nazi-like youth camp of antisemitist, is nothing short of insanity.
    Just because Social Democrats frequently critisize the Israelian government for their brutal human rights violations in Gaza, does not mean they have ANYTHING against Israelians as people or the Jewish religion. This notion is a mere artefact of a successful brain-washing by Fox and other propoganda-related institutions.
    Besides, I can’t see how these poor youngsters bore any resemblence to communist fanatics. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/world/europe/Norway-Victims-Oslo-Utoya.html
  • Nomoremalaria
    It makes me sick to read how some (most) people here talk about other human beings.
    Do you really think that hate against others will better this world ?
    Think well and look at the inside of your hearts.
  • Noto Crusadering
    So your view is Breivik taught them a lesson? Is Israel/AIPAC going to pressure Norway for his release like they’re doing with Jonathan Pollard? Thanks for the morality lesson, Pamela, but I’m going to flush it down the John where such things belong.
    lololol evil leftie media! How dare they! Even though no major news sources including BBC or Al Jazeera (not like you’d pay attention to the latter anyhow, probably too Towelhead for you ilk here) have reported on this….and not like Beck and Faux News has ever twisted things just as out of proportion. Because they support an equal Palestinian state it makes them anti-semetic, despite the horrible things Israel has done? Someone referred to Norway as becoming an “Islamic Pigsty”…that makes you any better than this CHRISTIAN terrorist? Terrorism is still terrorism, no matter who it’s against. Quit it with your filthy, ignorant double standards.
    The Norwegian Labor Party is NOT a left wing party. Seriously people, they are fiscaly responsible social democrats. We have three parties to the left of the Labor Party in Norway. And for your information: one of the defining differences between Norway and the rest of Europe is that historicaly we were too poor and too few people to have anything resembling an aristocracy. I am not a part of any form of political elite, but i have still discussed issues with several members of the cabinet, been closely related to a former one, and had dinner at another ones house. This is not nescesarily normal, but we are few enough people to have relations to a great part of our countrymen. Most of this rambling is missinformed and quite offensive at times.
  • This is the most disgusting and f*cked up article I’ve read in a long time. I am a Norwegian, I vote for the political party considered almost identical to the republican party in the US.Let me start buy asking this question: Are you just morons, or is this a way of infidel Taqiyya? There’s rubbish from start to the end! Social Democrats aren’t communist you fools. They are pretty close to your Democratic party. So using the word communist: Way to go! And Socialists???? They aren’t that either. For cryin’ out loud. I’ve been reading this blog for 1 and a half years. That’s gonna stop now. This looks like something Muslims would come up with. A lot of mambo Jambo, add some therms like “communists and socialists” to make it sound worse, and whtever you do – don’t forget to take on the role as “victims”! Are you interested in the truth btw? Kids from all political parties are welcomed there. I’ve read this years program. It was set 45 minutes for a debate regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict on the day before the shooting. The rest of the week was reserved for swimming, soccer, badminton and practically NO POLITICAL speeches. Yeah, The Foreign minister held a speech there and yeah it was about something I disagree with as well. So what? If they have this opinion and I disagree – we have found a way to sort this out. It’s called “Election”. And FYI: I have friends who’ve had their kids there even 2-3 years in a row. These are adults now and none of them vote for Labor. Let’s face it: I’ve been on Facebook for a long time. Terrorists come in all shapes. I’ve seen conservative Christians only worried about one thing: Make sure people don’t believe Breivik’s a conservative Christian!! Really? So that’s how it works? If I put up a neon sign in front of my house – flashing the words “I’m a Christian” – then it’s taken care of? And nobody can deny it, no matter what I do of horrific acts? I thought this was elementary: You are judged by your actions, not by fancy words… You know what? Even though Labor is in charge, I wouldn’t dream of having any of you replacing them. Coz I know that The Labor party are able to change. I don’t think you are. And after reading this article, I lost all respect for this blog. Kids are kids no matter what. It can never be justified to murder them – or adults for that matter. And just because they differ in political questions? Yeah, I know.. It’s about taking your country away etc. But even this is wrong. I saw the speech Støhre made. The Anti-Mullah is full of crap. And I know now that you can’t be trusted. Another thing: You better start praying Glen Beck never becomes a President. We might start asking for the money we’ve lended you over the years y’ know. Oh, you didn’t know, you thought the was the other way around? I’m afraid no :) We ARE the richest country in the world you know. I’d like to end this with a little comparement. Imagine us pointing out that there was a lot of muslims as well in World Trade Center at 9/11? Indicating it was a “training camp” to destroy our economy? Insane right? Welcome to the club..
  • frits jansen
    Such a stupid woman.
    Are all americans like her?
    It seems so. Some republicans think that Irene is a punishment of God. Insane
  • That camp looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing these lovely photos!
  • Thanks for giving information regarding summer camps training centers. I have read your above article and got information regarding the schedule system of summer camping programs. In the camp centers the children learn various fun based activities and educational programs.
