Pamela Geller, WND: Obama Gaslights the Jews

29

Heads up, Atlas readers. I will be writing a regular column for WND. Check out my first in my weekly column for WND:

Obama gaslights the Jews by Pamela Geller, WND

Barack Obama came to American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, on Sunday and declared that the U.S.-Israel relationship was ironclad. I was there and heard him say it, but it did not reassure me. I am dubious about Obama's promise. After all, he caused fright and worry amongst freedom-loving peoples when he endorsed the 1967 Auschwitz borders for Israel, and he did not dispel that concern at AIPAC.

Story continues below advertisement

Obama's idea of ironclad is sketchy at best. In 2008, he vowed at the AIPAC conference that Jerusalem would remain the undivided capital of the state of Israel if he was elected. He walked back on that promise the next day. In 2009 at Cairo University (with the Muslim Brotherhood in attendance at his invitation), he called on Israel to stop all the settlement activity, and created a crisis in U.S.-Israel relations when Israel approved 1,600 houses in Jerusalem.

Obama was at the he had just said, "Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people." Obama's longtime anti-Israel allegiances and radical connections were deeply disturbing and meticulously documented in my book, "The Post American Presidency.

Nonetheless, when Obama was introduced Sunday, he was given a standing ovation. One has to wonder: If Hitler came to AIPAC before the world became aware of the Holocaust, would he, too, have received a standing ovation out of respect for a head of state? No, I am not equating Obama to Hitler. What I am saying is that not every head of state is worthy of respect just because he is a head of state. And while many did not stand up, the fact is that many did because they wanted to be reassured. Could we come any cheaper?

Obama fell off the teleprompter when he was describing Iran as wanting to wipe Israel "off the face of the map." If Sarah Palin had said that they wanted to wipe Israel "off the face of the map," "face of the map" would be the new bumper sticker and the crawl at CNN all through the news cycle.

The Few, Alex Kershaw, pgs. 128-9
All three were soon transfixed by a display panel across the room. Red bulbs indicated that every squadron was either in the air or unavailable.
Britain’s fate appeared to hang in the balance, the margin between victory and defeat excruciatingly narrow. The Luftwaffe’s targets were now London’s perimeter airfields. The minutes passed slowly as Park issued crisp commands; Churchill appeared not to move a muscle.
The wall display finally showed that some of Park’s squadrons were available and that the German raiders were turning and heading back across the Channel. Visibly weary, Churchill stood up and then walked quickly to his waiting Humber staff car, deep in thought. A few minutes later, he and Ismay were on their way to Chequers, the British premier’s country retreat.
Ismay turned toward Churchill.
“Don’t speak to me.” snapped Churchill. “I have never been so moved.”
They passed neat gardens, suburbia, and leafy parks in the gathering dusk.
Several minutes later, Churchill broke the silence:
“Never in the field of conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few.”

Wow, people have really short-term/selective memory. If he told the folks at AIPAC he would not tolerate Israel’s isolation, that’s quite a turn around from his blunt comment just a couple of days ago that Israel will continue to suffer the consequences of the march of increasing isolation if she doesn’t give up land for peac, etc, etc, etc. (Sounded like Obama fancied himself the leader of the march…I couldn’t help but picture goose stepping.)
Madness is what it is.

Can someone tell me why so many Jewish folks have these blinders on…They can’t see the forrest for the trees and all that. Are we dealing with some sort of spiritual realm here??? Is the “dark side” doing mind control or????

Liberalism is amoral, regardless of faith. I’ve met plenty of brain-dead Christians who don’t seem to mind that Muslo-nazis are eliminating the Christian faith from ALL their Muslim states instead preferring to subscribe to the urbane Al Taqiyya lies spouted by Muslo-nazis.

Great piece, Pamela! I can only imagine how you felt listening to Obama
at AIPAC. Lies, lies, lies. Bibi speaks today. Hope our brethren will
realize that Obama’s (empty) promises to the Jewish people, in fact, mean nothing.
Any Jew that votes for Obama in 2012 is a traitor to the tribe.

Many of this generation of people in the West is really dumbed down at an alarmingly rapid pace. Which gives credence to the end of the Age of the Gentile. I believe that Israel will now become the recipient of God’s Blessings more and more.

The borders were a problem in 1967, and both Israel’s pre-emption of the implementation of arab-muslim war plans and the occupation that followed were solutions, pending some illusive arab-muslim acceptance of Judeo-Christians in lands occupied by the eastern savages since 634 AD.
Arab-muslims are the problem; Israeli security is the solution.

If you ever stopped to “think” for a moment, you might wonder why the oil rich Arabs (so called brothers to the Palestinians) don’t pour billions of dollars into the development of the West Bank & Gaza.
The reason is simple. The rest of the Arab world cant stand “Palestinians” but need to foster this “festering sore of poverty and discontent” to further their political agenda.
One thousand years from now Israel will still be Israel.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE PALESTINIAN REFUGEES
Many of us are familiar with the name “Mark Twain” the author of classic novels such as “Huckleberry Finn” and “Tom Sawyer”.
Mark Twain took a tour of “Palestine” in 1867 and this is how he described the country:
“A desolate country whose soil is rich enough but is wholly given over to weeds. A silent, mournful expanse. We never saw a human being on the whole route. There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”
Where was this great Palestinian nation? It did not exist. It was not there. Palestinians were not there. Palestine was a region named by the Romans but in 1867 it was under the control of Turkey, and there was no large mass of people there because the land would not support them.
This is the report that the Palestine Royal Commission, created by the British, made. It quotes an account on the coastal plain along the Mediterranean Sea in 1913. This is what the Palestine Royal Commission said: “The road leading from Gaza to the North was only a summer track, suitable for transport by camels or carts. No orange groves, orchards or vineyards were to be seen until one reached the Yavnev village. Houses were mud. Schools did not exist. The western part toward the sea was almost a desert. The villages in this area were few and thinly populated. Many villages were deserted by their inhabitants.” That was 1913.
In short under the Turks the land had suffered from neglect and low population. This is an historic fact. The nation became populated by both Jews and Arabs because the land came to prosper when the Jews came back to reclaim it. Even to this day the Jewish people are regarded as the best arid land farmers in the world.
While all the surrounding Arab/Muslim nations claim Israel has no right to exist they would be well reminded that most of them have no longstanding claim to the country either.
Saudi Arabia was not created until 1913, Lebanon until 1920. Iraq did not exist as a nation until 1932, Syria until 1941; the borders were established in 1946 and Kuwait in 1961. Any of these nations that would say Israel is only a recent arrival would have to deny their own rights as recent arrivals as well. They did not exist as countries. They were all under the control of the Turks.
Adolf Hitler once said that “the greater a lie is, the more are people likely to believe it.”
By far the greatest lie created by the Muslim world is that of the Palestinian refugees being created when the Jews forced and exodus of millions of Arabs from their plots of land they had inhabited from time immemorial.
When Israel’s independence was declared in 1948, the vastly superior Arab forces combined to crush it. Arabic radio broadcasts called upon the Arab people to flee from their homes in Jerusalem, Jaffa and Haifa as the combined Arab armies were coming in to crush Israel and they didn’t want fellow Arabs in the way.
Some Arabs in another crucial strategic area who were “opening fire on the Israeli’s shortly after surrendering” were “forced” to leave by the defending Jewish army to prevent what former Israeli Premier Itzhak Rabin described as a “hostile and armed populace” from remaining “in our rear when it would endanger the supply route.”
After the combined Arab armies were defeated by the tiny fledgling nation of Israel in the 1948 war, their position became confused: some Arab leaders demanded the “return” of the “expelled” refugees to their homes despite the evidence that Arab leaders had called upon Arabs to flee.  At the same time, Emile Ghoury, Secretary of the Arab Higher Command, called for the prevention of the refugees from “return.” He stated in the Beirut Telegraph on August 6, 1948: “It is inconceivable that the refugees should be sent back to their homes while they are occupied by the Jews…it would serve as a first step toward Arab recognition of the state of Israel and Partition.”
According to a research report by the Arab-sponsored Institute for Palestine Studies in Beirut, “the majority” of the Arab refugees in 1948 were not expelled and 68% “left without seeing an Israeli soldier.
Khaled Al-Azm who was Syria’s Prime Minister after the 1948 war deplored the Arab tactics and the subsequent exploitation of the refugees, in his 1972 memoirs:
“Since 1948 it is we who demanded the return of the refugees…while it was we who made them leave…we brought disaster upon…Arab refugees by inviting them and bringing pressure to bear upon them to leave…We have rendered them dispossessed…we have accustomed them to begging….we have participated in lowering their moral and social level…then we exploited them in executing crimes of murder, arson and throwing of bombs upon…men women and children –all this in the service of political purpose…
In 1958, former director of the United Nations Relief Work Agency Ralph Galloway declared angrily while in Jordan “The Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore, as an affront to the United Nations, and as a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders do not give a damn whether Arab refugees live or die.”
And King Hussein, the sole Arab leader who, for reasons that later became clearer, directed integration of the Arabs, in 1960 stated, “Since 1948 Arab leaders have approached the Palestinian problem in an irresponsible manner…They have used the Palestinian people for selfish political purposes. This is ridiculous and I could say criminal.”
Today the lies of Israeli occupation are treated as “fact” by the leftist-liberals and the mainstream press.
Nevertheless, even if a billion people believe a “lie”, it is still a lie.

It’s the “boiled frog” again. A little lie, then another, and everyone wants to believe the lies are true. If you want to get a sense of what’s happening now and where it will lead, read Erik Larson’s new book “In the Garden of Beasts” about the US ambassador in Berlin in 1933/34. He saw what was coming, talked about it, but no one would believe him. Like Pamela, I’m not saying Obama is Hitler, but that people believe what they want and a lot of people believing a lie doesn’t make it true.

Superblogger Pam and WND, an excellent surefire combination!
Informative article, and accurate.
AIPAC should have stood but received Obama without a single hand-clap, and been pledged to silence the whole speech, before – during -after. That would have really sent him a message of how he crossed the line over into open pro-Muslim Antisemitism. But, alas…what happened, happened.
Pam, I would like to see WND and You get a commitment from each Republican and Independent candidate (and their respective Parties) to sue / throw Obama off the 2012 ballot citing his ineligibility via his fraudulent Social Security Number, his birth certificate fraud which neither his lawyers nor the US Attorney dares submit into Court evidence records, and for his impeachable and cross-examinable claims of identity proof he is required by law to produce IN COURT and the Court Record per Bute v. Illinois, 333 US 640 @ 653. The candidates will have to submit their proofs as well.
A Lawsuit of this nature will have immediate standing to prevent Obama from even running in a Democratic Primary, and cause him to immediately and voluntarily withdraw from the Democratic ballot, because he is a felony fraud, and open the field widely up to any seeking the 2012 office. Will You and WND commit to posing this challenge to Republicans and Independents please?
I would especially like to see Sarah Palin (who announced she has that “fire in the belly”) and Michele Bachmann (my Presidential and Vice-Presidential choice ticket for 2012, with John Bolton as Secretary of State) to commit to the above legal action v. Obama. Thank you kindly for your consideration on this matter, and for all you do in your seemingly tireless cutting edge journalism. Thanks again, Pam. Bless you.

Obama is a fraud, but so true are the Jewish People. Standing and applauding this fool for a president makes me want to vomit. If Goebbels spoke, would the Jews also stand and applaud? Most probably as they think…”Gee this man makes sense” The Jews are doomed if they think that by listening to Obama alone, they will get peace and security in the Middle East. If you think I am kidding, then ask any Czech about their thoughts on the events of 1938 “Peace in our Time”
The Jews at AIPAC are not interested in Israel, only in their Messiah of whom 78% voted for, and will vote for him again in 2012. Nothing will change for the Jews except more anti-semitism, and more Israel bashing.

Genesis 12:3– I’ll bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you!! Anybody see what happened in the mid-west? You cannot mess with G-D, His people or His land. Every time people start trying to mess with Israel, judgement falls from G-D. Obama better back off! Israel may be around in 1000 years as stated above but if our leaders keep pushing this land for peace nonsense, America may be gone in 10!

“Once again, Obama lauded the Muslim revolutions taking place across the world, as if he were living in a completely alternative reality.”-Pamela
The president “is in a completely alternative reality.”
Only a few people see that, and even fewer are addressing the real reason for the so-called “Arab Spring”- which was not about “democracy.” It was/is about the rising food prices in the region that are resulting from an enormous spike in demand for food emanating from a more affluent Asia (especially China). The Muslim Mideast (excluding oil producers) is headed for a serious food crisis. Most Arab countries do not produce nearly enough wealth (unlike high-tech exporting Israel) to feed itself. Egypt will be the first country in the region where that will become apparent.
(The tragedy that will unfold has nothing to do with Israel or the US, but there is going to be a heavy-duty attempt to blame “the Jews” and America when the poop hits the fan. The problem is Islam.)
If the president wants to reenter reality, he might start by pointing out that Islam has crippled the Arabs (who are an intelligent people) in every way, and that rather than seeking to destroy Israel, the Muslim Mideast should be cooperating with Israel, using Israel as its political-economic model for survival. But imagine the reaction on the “Arab street” if the president told them reality.
Obama and the Muslim Mideast need a twelve step program. Benjamin Netanyahu might suggest that when he addresses AIPAC on the matter of the ’67 borders and other hard realities that Obama and the Muslim Mideast must face in order to recover from Islam.

This moronic Muslim meant everything he said in his first speech. Everything. And if he is elected for a second term, God help us all. I am hoping and praying Bibi does not back down one single bit. Obama cannot bring about what he so wishes…but he can and will bring about enabling the hounds of hell to be unleashed on Israel. Chaos, attacks on Israel from every corner. Hopefully this time, Israel will nuke Egypt and be done with it. The rest are just ankle biters.
There is nothing strange about Obama’s ambitions. He’s just being a good little Muslim.

Pam, why do you think you can rewrite current events just by lying about it? Well, it obviously works with some of your more wild-eyed followers (judging by the comments above), but the facts are all out there if any of them would bother to look. So, you know, congratulations on doing such a successful job of lying to the stubbornly ignorant.
His cop-out was that these 1967 borders had been whispered about behind the scenes for years by previous administrations.
Try not to be stupider than you have to be, Ms Geller. Bush explained the “1967 borders, with swaps” strategy openly in multiple press conferences, most recently in late 2008, immediately after getting both Palestinian President Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Olmert to agree to it. There was nothing “behind the scenes” about it.
http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2008/01/20080110-3.html
And “I am not equating Obama to Hitler” rings just a little false when you refer to them as the “Auschwitz borders,” and then pretend Obama speaks with a German accent, doesn’t it?
Incidentally, you should probably look up the word “gaslight” – it doesn’t mean what you think it does, since trying to claim that Obama was trying to drive the Israeli’s insane would be stupid. But, of course, you were just trying to make people think about gas chambers, so you used it anyway.
And people buy this garbage? Where did you find this many easily-led sheep?
