King Hearing Falls Short, As Predicted

15

It gives me no pleasure to be right, again. The entire enemedia coverage was all about the bawling and crocodile tears over the fictitious tale that Muslim Brotherhood Congressman Hakim Mohammed (aka Keith Ellison) told. The media never reported that Hakim Mohammed's hajj was paid for by the Brotherhood, that Hakim was a vocal supporter of the vile Louis Farrakhan, or that Hakim has long time ties Muslim Brotherhood and is a vocal pro-Hamas supporter. King's hearings should have been designed to expose stealth jihadists like Hakim, aka Ellison.

The Muslim victims who testified were the tip of the iceberg, and don't get me started on Jasser.

King Hearing Falls Short, As Predicted IBD

Story continues below advertisement

Politics: Reviews of Rep. Pete King’s opening round of hearings into “Muslim radicalization” are lousy. King blames the Muslim lobby and the media. But he’s the one who blew it.

King, the Republican head of the House Homeland Security Committee, deserves thrashing not because the hearing was an exercise in Muslim-bashing, as Democrats and the media unfairly charged. Far from it, the tenor of the questioning was respectful.

The problem, rather, was King didn't even come close to delivering what he  Sioa flyer
advertised with his investigation, titled "The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community and that Community's Response."

Or lack of response, as King repeatedly claimed in the buildup to the hearings. He said FBI agents and other cops working terrorism cases constantly complain about the lack of cooperation from the Muslim community. Mosque officials and other Muslim leaders actually encourage such resistance, he said.

These are explosive charges. Basically, he suggested that the Muslim leadership in this country is protecting jihadists, and possibly facilitating another terror attack on U.S. soil. Yet the seven witnesses King called to testify included no national law enforcement officials to back him up. Nor did he subpoena any of the offending Muslim leaders to address these allegations under oath.

Instead, we heard from Los Angeles Country Sheriff Lee Baca, who testified at the invitation of Democrats about how most Muslim Americans in his community cooperate with counter-terror efforts. Baca partners with the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which recently posted a notice on its website advising Muslims never to talk to the FBI. The group is so shady the FBI director has blackballed it from outreach.

Two relatives of young Muslim men radicalized at mosques in Minnesota and Tennessee spoke at the hearing. While compelling, their testimony did not carry the authority of active or retired law enforcement officials who could have provided first-hand evidence of problems in the Muslim community.

The lead-off witness was Rep. Keith Ellison, a Muslim Democrat from Minneapolis who has tried to shut down the hearings since King first announced them. His top billing was an odd choice, to be sure. But King said he invited him "as an example of my good faith."

His gesture backfired, as we predicted days before the hearing ("Rep. King: Don't Pull Any Punches," March 9), when we noticed Ellison headlining the witness list.

Ellison, another close ally of CAIR, stole the show when he broke into tears while retelling the story of a Muslim paramedic who died in the World Trade Center. Ellison used the victim as an example of the "witch hunt" against Muslims in America by claiming he was falsely accused of involvement in the 9/11 plot.

Above flyer distributed by our AFDI/SIOA group prior to the hearings.

I thought this was just the first of numerous meetings or hearings that will be part of King’s investigation, hence the reason not everything advertised was covered. Am I wrong about that?

I agree. King was not effective at all. I think he was too afraid of offending someone.

It is not only Muslim communities not cooperating. Here in the UK after the London bombs the British secret services actively recruited Muslims, so that a third of the 2007 intake of recruits was Muslim.
Since then we have had a few (not many to be fair) cases of raids on Muslims that have led to nothing, except perhaps prosecutions by Muslims against the authorities.
Now who would be best placed to provide false information so that a botched raid against Muslims would take place, than Muslims in the secret services? What better way to discredit secret services and to make them more wary of carrying out anti-terrorist raids than to feed false information? By the way it was reported that several jihadists were recruited. How did they pass the stringent security checks?

King missed his chance, he really should have had Robert Spencer testify on the stealth jihad. It’s only going to be harder the next time, if there is a next time. Of course, the Republicans are now getting ready to fight the real threat, gay marriage! lol.

There’s plenty of evidence that Muslim leaders are plotting to destroy the nation from within, if you know where to look for it.

Am I to understand that there will not be another hearing?
If that is not the case, I agree with many on Jihad watch
commenting. They have been saying that it was prudent for
Peter King to put a face first on two families whose lives
were completely changed because of radicalization here in
the USA. It seems to me that if King keeps his momentum from
there he can easily draw a connection to the Mosques leaders who
have not cooperated, but where the worst cases of radicalizations
has resulted. Obviously Mr. Bibi’s own nephew was corrupted
first here in the USA, so it’s evident radicalization exists.
The next phase of hearings should bring his investigation a bit
deeper now, and there is no doubt that the depth of this
cancer (in my opinion) has very very deep roots. So all I can
say is, I hope he continues and lets say a prayer the people
he calls in the future will silence the tools who carry water
for CAIR and others. Hope and pray!

PETER KING, WEEPING ISLAMISTS AND THE BLEEDING HEART LEFT
Those undeceived Americans who plainly see with open eyes the gravity of the challenge confronting us from militant Islam in its violent and peaceful forms rightly fault Peter King for not inviting a Steve Emerson, a Waffa Sultan, a Bob Spencer or Ibn Warraq to his radicalization hearings. Such hearings cannot be complete without them. Perhaps if the anti-King chorus of Islamists and Leftists waxes and not wanes and (God forbid) there is an attempt on King’s life maybe to avenge himself and drive his enemies completely insane King will summon the above experts on radical Islam to future hearings.

Me thinks we were thrown a bone, so to speak with these hearings. Give us something to gnaw on a while to feel good and hence, shut up, since ‘the government is addressing the issue, see.’ BLEEECH…
Seeing the deck was stacked from the get go for the speakers should’ve been a no brainer….
It just shows the true gravity of the problem we are facing.
WE need to deal with it, not trust the government to, obviously.

Ellison has used the cry baby routine before.
Wife takes the fall
Back in 2006 when Keith Ellison was running for Martin Sabo CD-5 seat he was plagued by such things as unpaid parking tickets and a campaign finance fine levied against him for repeated failure to file finance reports on time. For some reason his wife Kim assumed responsibility for the lapses. Below is how one blog posting described how Kim Ellison covered for her husband of 19 years.
Kim Ellison is the wife of Keith Ellison, the DFL-endorsed candidate for Minnesota’s Fifth District congressional seat. Yesterday Mrs. Ellison took the fall for her husband’s repeated infractions of Minnesota’s campaign finance law. She also took the fall for her husband’s legal difficulties resulting in the suspension of his driver’s license on occasions so numerous he could not recall them all. Mrs. Ellison not only took the fall, she attributed it to her multiple sclerosis.
On Friday, Kim Ellison sent a letter to the Star Tribune; in it, she said that because of her illness, “I was having a tough time getting things done. I didn’t want to let Keith down by resigning and I guess he didn’t want to fire me either.
“I’m writing because I know that Keith wasn’t blowing off the campaign report deadlines. He was trying to bear with me and I’m sorry.”
Ellison said he did not know his wife had sent the letter. When a reporter read it to him, he burst into tears.
Now comes the payback for wifely devotion:
Case type: Legal Separation
Date Filed: 4/29/2010
Location: Hennepin
Family Judicial Officer: Miller, Laurie J
PARTY INFORMATION
Lead attorneys

Respondent Ellison, Kim Dore

It’d be so much simpler to rid yourself of a wife under Shariah.
