The Ground Zero Mosque Event at CPAC

33

Yesterday patriots and proud Americans joined Robert and me at CPAC to attend the AFDI/SIOA Ground Zero mosque conference. It was the most difficult and heartwrenching event I have put together in all my years in this fight.

Photo: 911 families watch the trailer for the film.

Story continues below advertisement

Photo: (11 family members Ilene Walsh and Rosaleen watch the film

Nelly Braginskaya , mother of 38-year-old Alex; Joyce Boland and Vince Boland who lost their son Vincent; Eileen Walsh, who lost her firefighter son; Dr. Rosaleen Tallon, who lost her firefighter brother (USMC) and is Family Liaison for Advocates for 9/11 Fallen Heroes; and Sally Regenhard, who lost her firefighter son, took the train in from New York state to testify and be heard. Their stories, their opposition to the mosque, has been embargoed by the media. Just as images from the bloody, black day have been embargoed by that same enemedia.

Most of them took the train back that night to care for their families. But they all came to be heard, and what they said was devastating. Their accounts of that day and of the ensuing eight years were chilling.

The crowd gathers to take their seet.

Rosaleen holds up a picture of her beloved brother Shawn while speaking

Rosaleen Tallon (above) spoke movingly of her brother Sean, a firefighter who was killed on 9/11 — or, in her word, "demolished." She chose that word deliberately, she said, and illustrated why by reading from his autopsy report. Rosaleen explained that we needed to hear the horrifying details of this report in order to understand the magnitude of what was done in the name of Islam on that day, and she was right. She also described camping out on a cold New York City sidewalk to protest the placement of the 9/11 Memorial underground, and the exclusion from it of the names of the victims.

Joyce Boland introduced us to her son Vince, who was working at Marsh and McLennan on the 97th floor of Tower 1 when the jihadis crashed into that exact spot. She said that she frequently visited Ground Zero, as any grieving mother would visit the gravesite of her son, and felt his spirit there. Nelly Braginskaya spoke of her son Alex, and of how the years had not dulled the pain of his loss, but had made it even sharper — and of how the Ground Zero Mosque would only compound this pain. Sally Regenhard, the mother of another fallen firefighter, Christian Regenhard, described her experiences being interviewed by PBS's "Religion and Ethics Newsweekly," whom she told: "Our loved ones’ blood really consecrated that site forever and ever," and "You can never change hearts and minds by shoving your culture or religion down the throats of others." Rose Leonetti and Eileen Walsh had the crowd riveted with their heart-rending accounts of how the loss of their loved ones had changed their families forever.

Pamela Hall will be uploading the videos — you will hear and see it all.

Rosa Leonetti lost her brother-in-law.

Ilario Pantano, the finest, most thoroghly decent man running for Congress in 2010.  I had scheduled him to speak, and after all of the 911 families, he could only bring himself to offer his deep condolences. Pantano served in Iraq as former United States Marine Corps officer. He knows.

I will have more …. but wanted Atlas readers to look at what happened.

The march of the gavones (Imom Rauf, El-Sham, Daisy Con etc.) will not stop the truth, Pamela. The rascals are not going to “dominate” in this case.
The rascals (the Grand Marshals of the March of the Gavones: Imonm Rauf, Daisy Con, El-Sham etc., should be more concerned about about building a 9/10 memorial to the women in Egypt that suffer genital mutilation. Maybe they can call it the anti-psssyphobia Mosque.
——————–
Spengler, in Asia Times, notes that 9/10 women in Egypt suffer genital mutilation in this article….Food and failed Arab states….
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/MB02Ak01.html
“Nine out of ten Egyptian women suffer genital mutilation. US President Barack Obama said Jan. 29, “The right to peaceful assembly and association, the right to free speech, and the ability to determine their own destiny … are human rights. And the United States will stand up for them everywhere.” Does Obama think that genital mutilation is a human rights violation? To expect Egypt to leap from the intimate violence of traditional society to the full rights of a modern democracy seems whimsical.”-Spengler, Asia Times………….
“That is not a Muslim view (the practice is rare in Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan), but an Egyptian Muslim view. In the most fundamental matters, President and Mrs Mubarak are incomparably more enlightened than the Egyptian public. Three-quarters of acts of genital mutilation in Egypt are executed by physicians.
What does that say about the character of the country’s middle class? Only one news dispatch among the tens of thousands occasioned by the uprising mentions the subject; the New York Times, with its inimitable capacity to obscure content, wrote on January 27, “To the extent that Mr. Mubarak has been willing to tolerate reforms, the cable said, it has been in areas not related to public security or stability.
For example, he has given his wife latitude to campaign for women’s rights and against practices like female genital mutilation and child labor, which are sanctioned by some conservative Islamic groups.” The authors, Mark Landler and Andrew Lehren, do not mention that 90% or more of Egyptian women have been so mutilated. What does a country have to do to shock the New York Times? Eat babies boiled?”-Spengler

You did a mitzvah here, Pamela. The energy in the room looks and feels like that of a typical Yom Kippur Memorial service — very sad and solemn. Hopefully the families got some consolation from the acknowledgment.
It is irritating to see the stupid comments people make who simply do not have the heart to honor the lives lost. 911 was not and never will be a trivial event.
Keep up the good work, eventually people will realize that there is a bigger story behind the GZM — one which small minds will take longer to grasp.

This is *exactly* what needs to be done, Pam (in conjunction with other things, but I digress):
As painful as it must be to the families of the victims, they/you/we must keep pounding and pounding and pounding these stories of horror and grief before the media and the cameras. Over and over and over again, they must tell their stories of suffering, pain and grief. It must be made deafeningly clear: the Muslims are heartless, cruel emotionally vicious and insensitive individuals. To compound the grief of these innocent people by putting up a victory mosque is BEYOND THE PALE of normal, human decency.
Good job….but keep up doing the ‘good job’.
After the stories have been told for the 10,000th time, maybe the Muslims will decide it isn’t worth it (mind you, they won’t be shamed into doing something else…just dissuaded. They feel no guilt towards making Kuffar’s suffer. Heck, their pagan god ‘Allah’ demands that they do so!).
Pound! Pound! Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Pound!Pound! Over and over and over again.
This is the road to victory. This is how good defeats evil.

Thank you for sharing Pamela. And to all those who attended and spoke…thank you. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to live that awful day all over again and the thought of your loved ones dying such a horrifying death. My prayers to you. You are all so brave. I would have loved to be there today but couldn’t. Just know so many are with you in thoughts and prayers.

This is heart wrenching. Just looking at the obvious pain on those people’s faces brings tears to my eyes. I cannot think about the horror of that day without shedding tears. This piece of trash mosque just cannot be built there. NOT – EVER!!!!
Pamela – Thank you so much for standing strong on this. You and Robert are so needed at this time. Truly.

Even if we never knew any of these people they were mudered on that day by people who want that murder to happen to every person in America! As Americans we must fight to keep our freedom and to let no victory mosques be built on top of the dead bodies of that day! This still knocks me out and I remember exactly all of the details of the moment I heard and then realized the true nature of what had just happened!

The stories of the families are correct. 9-11 has been whitewashed. It is disgusting. People need to see EXACTLY what was done to those who were murdered that day. Every person needs to see the body parts. Every person needs to see the bits of charred flesh, the bodies smashed like pumpkins on the ground. Every person needs to see the bodies that were buried in piles of rubble in the buildings. Hands and feet sticking out. Each of us needs to see the pile of dirt in the garbage dump that is now the final resting place of most of the remains. Many of the families had nothing to bury, and they still don’t. Their loved ones are in a garbage dump, forever. Each of us needs to internalize all of it. And NEVER FORGET. This is what Islam has in store for each and every one of us. This is what Muslims want to do to us. And this is the symbolism of that piece of trash mosque. To kill us, smash us to smithereens, and dig at us every single day with a mosque that looks DOWN on that burial site, to tell us that we are WORTHLESS, and we are NOTHING. We cannot forget how Muslims everywhere rejoiced when our people were murdered…by Muslims, in the name of Islam. We need to call a spade a spade. I don’t give a rats ass if it offends anyone. And it is absolutely disgusting what our media has done. As far as I’m concerned, by not showing it as it is, they are complicit to murder.

Pamela: those remarkable pictures of the families of the 9-11 martyrs you so gratiously showed to us, should be instead engraved into the frontispiece of the New York Times up until the eternity. This goes for all the MSM as well.
I hate their silence and the complicity they show for the benefit of the aggressor.
As a foreigner, I use to read the NYT almost in a daily basis, but not any more, ever. Since the media en general seems to be so pathologically involved in a project of deceive and covering up, all of it against the America’s best interests. Everything up to this point looks to us as unconceivable wrong and anti patriotic.
Please continue your good work, since somehow, somewhere, you will be remunerated.

Dear Pamela-
I see a connection between the nature of the Islamic mind that will permit female genital mutilation (9/10 in Egypt e.g.), and the kind of mind that will permit 9/11, or seek permission to build a mosque near Ground Zero. The same mind-soul is at work in all three things. (Imom Rauf, Daisy Con, El-Sham have such minds.)
In 1933, when Goebbels was overseeing the book burnings in Nazi Germany, an observer watching the book burnings noted: “People who will burn books will burn people.” That observer saw into the Nazi mind-soul. He saw connections.
I see connections, too.

Great job Pamela. What a shame to see the derogation of the opposition. This has truly turned into civilizational jihad.
How is it that the left labels us as extremists, yet when I see people like you, Robert and Allen West, I see the societal remnant of civilization and decency?
These are the remains of rationality in a Postmodern anti-Enlightenment time.

I think it is also true that Pamela’s behavior-attitude is informed by her mind’s rejection of domination-objectification of people when she opposes honor killings etc. and the ground zero mosque. They are not different things in her mind.

lilredbird

I think that’s an excellent point. Domination-objectification especially against women is an issue everywhere, but in Islam it is as consuming and corrupting as it was in Nazi Germany and Stalin’s USSR. The Left considers Mubarak a monster, and yet he opposed this monstrous Islam-sanctioned “tribal custom” of FGM. The conservative Right is not exactly off the hook when it comes to objectifying women, especially by pushing to control their sexuality and the sanctity — in terms of self-ownership — of their bodies. But the Left casually countenances any outrage against women, so long as its agenda of multiculturalism, statism, and marxism isn’t threatened.

Thank you Pam, and Robert, and all of SIOA for defending these victims when so much of America has SHAMEFULLY forgotten them and the Left hates and resents them for not being willing to sit down and shut up so it can get on with its pro-Islam agenda. Those who have lost loved ones this way never forget, are never free of it, but the Left won’t even offer them the decency of adknowledgment and compassion.

What you said and:
The murderous ghouls did not just kill those innocent people. They also murdered the loved ones who will never live their lives normally again. Yet a lot of people (MSM)who were not themselves touched by this horror as they really are anti American, seem to want to treat those horrific acts as acts of God. Such as a hurricane. And hold no one blameless. We, as Americans should and do feel the pain of the loved ones.If we do not…Then we need to find some other country and move there. Pamela no words can express the high platform I put you for being willing to sacrifice yourself to all the hateful brain dead FOOLS and continue fighting. God bless you. And God bless Robert. You two are the messengers sent by a higher power.

I’m not sure we can entirely avoid objectification. For example: men tend to see women in very a visual manner as relating to the sex instinct. However, we are not beasts and there is always some choice in how humans think and behave toward “the other.” But this domination-objectification stuff in Islam is inhuman. It dehumanizes “the other.”

The political left and fake conservatives want 911 to go away, they are tired of pretending they care that nearly 3000 people were slaughtered by Muslims on that day. The grief and sorrow upon the families faces is a stark reminder that the Islamists are winning in the West, their union with the political left will revictimize the families over and over. The Mosque will be a shining beacan to Islamofacists the world over that we in the West will lose to the Islamofacists/liberals.

According to a Quinnipia poll: August 31, 2010 – 9/11 Family
Concerns Outweigh Muslim Right To Mosque, New York State Voters
Tell Quinnipiac University Poll; 71 Percent Say Cuomo Should
Probe Mosque Finances.
Besides the above being common sense and what you say makes no sense,
what kind of a stupid moron would ever lie about what the majority
of 9/11 families think? You are an arrogant troubled person.
A peaceful person would respect the sacred site where innocent
lives were taken in the name of the religion they espouse, and
someone like Daisy Khan, if she is peaceful would never do anything
to confuse her purposes with something so divisive.
She and her husband would have made peace within their own hearts,
expressed compassion and understanding then walk away from
the Cordoba House which they had been originally planning on calling
it. Already, two Imams have been given leadership over the mosque and
then each one removed. Wierd??? It’s wierd to me!
Gamal, Rauf, taxes, financing issues, you name it, these people,
regardless of the negatives, want to force this Mosque on New York
and America. So, Bill, lets not lie about Pamela Geller, or the families
of 9/11, my husband is a survivor, first responder, so just shut up.
You come in here and give us a lecture? You have gosh darn nerve
you simpleton! The hate is from you! It’s from Daisy the Khonartist
and Imam Rauf, and Gamal, and CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, and
the list goes on. Taquia…a word we shouldn’t allow used here in
America, because we understand it in plain old fashioned English

Most on the Left are ideologues. A true Conservative rejects all ideology and bases opinions on reason and human experience.
Leftists often fashion their politics from some behavior, usually a perversion. Their behavior forms their “thinking.” Their politics is literally back-loaded from some behavior. Reason makes them frightened and angry. They don’t like questions, critical analysis. (There are some reasoners on the Left, Hitchens e.g., but they tend to be rare.)
Most people on the American Right tend to fashion their politics from reason (William Buckley, Barry Goldwater style) and that causes their a “Conservative” behavior.
The Left’s behaviors rule their minds. Many abandon reason in a Keith Ubernut style (BTW-I think that guy Ubernut is quite capable of killing people who disagree with him. He’s a very angry man. Deep down, he knows he’s a privileged third-rate mind who needs to read the Kos for his rants. That man has never had an original thought in his life. Never. He can’t deal with reason.)
Overall, I like Goldwater.-LOL Keep the nuts at arms-length. It’s Conservative advise.

Bill W,
I think you need to go back to the rock you came out from under. I back Pamala G. all the way.
I lost a cousin in the 911 crule act of the muslims pigs did to our country. That I will NEVER FORGET or FORGIVE them for this act against us. I was in the GULF WAR and as soon as we did their dirty work they (muslims) wanted us to leave. That’s the real story.
My cousin was a fire fighter in N.Y., and Rochester is my birth place, which now I’m not happy to call it my birth place because of the New Yorkers are giving in to these sorry pigs that did this to us.
O,by the way I agree with -grimcargo said about Bill W.
Yes, you can call this a HATE crime if you want,But what do you call what they(muslims) did to us. They say that they are a peasefull group but I DON’T believe them. Get ahold of the Qur’an and see if they can explain it. There is nothing BUT HATE in it to KILL the Jews and the CHRISTIANS.
