Scenes from the Restoration Weekend: Annie Taylor Award

DSC06947

Saturday night, I received the Annie Taylor award. It was the culmination of years of work for a cause (a calling) that defines me –  defense of freedom.

The Annie Taylor Award for Courage from the David Horowitz Freedom Center is awarded annually to people who have demonstrated unusual courage in adverse conditions and great danger.

Photo above: Pamela Geller and J. Christian Adams, the former United States Department of Justice official who shocked the nation when he came forward and exposed the DoJ's illegal refusal to prosecute the New Black Panthers who were threatening and harassing voterswith weapons at polling places. Adams further explained that no incidents agaisnt whites would be being prosecuted at the Obama's Department of Justice. He is a great American hero as is  State Senator Russell Pearce, honored for writing the Arizona immigration law.

Pamela Geller and Michelle Bachmann — she looks poised for 2012. Her speech was rousing. She has that rare thing – courage and political will. I have great hopes for her.

Surrounded by those I love, the DHFC honored my work. Huge thanks to Robert Spencer for his overwhelming introduction.

I hope DHFC posts the video of all of it.

I’m gutted I missed this. I’ve been at every Restoration Weekend since 2004 and this was the one I just couldn’t get to. Well done Pamela, I’ve seen some amazing people win that award, but none so amazing as you.

When I first saw the award, I thought it was a fashion award-LOL. I could not figure it-at first.
Then I looked up Annie Taylor and found out….
“Annie Edson Taylor (October 24, 1838 – April 29, 1921) was an American adventurer who became the first person to survive a trip over Niagara Falls in a barrel on her 63rd birthday, October 24, 1901 [1].”

I think Pamela is a lot more important than Annie Taylor.
It’s like getting an Evel Knievel Award.

Pamela,
Your ability to articulate very clearly the conflict between Islam and the West is extremely important in the present and for our future. Keep doing what you do.
Above all, do not be afraid.

Pamela,
Congratulations! Your work becomes more important every day. This is an
absolutely wonderful photo of you, and the picture with Michelle Bachmann
is a true catch. (The Left will go even more nuts. How can they compete
in this day and age of the video?)
The most admirable aspect of your work is the approach, or the spirit,
behind it.The opposition will never understand you. They are too corrupt in their
habits of thinking. Your insistence on honesty and Truth they cannot comprehend.
G-d Bless and Keep You.

Once again: thank you for your persistant courage.

I can think of nothing original to say because everyone else already said it. But I can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of this award and what it stands for. Courageous, brave, strong, outspoken, beautiful and bold are all words I would use to describe you Pamela. Thank you for all you’ve done for America and her freedom and spreading your infectious courage. You are truly a blessing.
