The human rights organization Freedom
Defense Initiative (FDI) and Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) will be
hosting a pro-freedom Rally of Remembrance against the Ground Zero
mega-mosque on September 11 at 3pm at Park Place and West Broadway.
The confirmed list of speakers includes 9/11 family members, former U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton
(video message); the Dutch Parliamentarian and freedom fighter Geert
Wilders; journalist Andrew Breitbart (video message); war hero and North Carolina Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano; nationally syndicated conservative radio host Mike Gallagher; Nelly Braginskaya, 911 family member — mother to Alex; Muslim Iranian activist Sam Khoshbaten; Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nassralla; Lisa Vincent, widow of author and journalist Steven Vincent, who was killed in Iraq;Narain Kataria, President of the Indian-American Intellectuals Forum, Sudanese ex-slave and human rights activist Simon Deng; Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, which has filed suit to stop the Ground Zero mega-mosque; Dan Weber, founder of the Association of Mature American Citizens; James Lafferty, VAST; Professor Richard Connerney of Pace University (Pace lost 4 students and 43 alumni); Darla Dawald, National Director of ResistNet.com; and Satya Dosapati of Hindu Human Rights Watch, Pamela Hall, NY Leader, SIOA.
The
rally will begin with a brief memorial service for the victims of the
9/11 attacks, featuring prayers offered by a rabbi, a minister and a
priest for the families of the victims and for the nation.
One of the buglers playing Taps is Tom Butterfield.
He is a descendant of General Daniel Butterfield,
who wrote "Taps" during the Civil War.
The acclaimed vocalist Sarah Lee Michaels will sing the National Anthem.
Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller,
the popular blogger and columnist who publishes the acclaimed
AtlasShrugs.com blog and executive director of FDI and SIOA; and SIOA
associate director Robert Spencer, the bestselling author and director of JihadWatch.org. Geller is the author (with Spencer) of The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America (foreword by Ambassador John Bolton), published by Simon & Schuster.
Responding to requests from a faction of 9/11 family members who asked her not to hold the rally on September 11,
Geller said: "I would have canceled the rally, but due to the large
number of family members who have contacted me and asked us to help them
speak out for their loved ones and give them a voice to express their
opinions, in all conscience I cannot postpone the rally."
Building
the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom, but of
resisting an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a
beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York. Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf
is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies the
freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights
of all people before the law. Given the thousands of triumphal mosques
that have been built on the cherished sites of conquered peoples
throughout Islamic history, the mosque leaders' claim that this mosque
would be understood differently by Muslims worldwide lack foundation.
Free citizens are coming from all over the U.S. to attend the rally.

The mind is a bully. It is cold. A dictator, analytical, without feeling.
There is truth to the Chinese yin-yang (male-female) principle that balance in the human emotion and reason is the ideal in each person. Both must be in balance or else there is chaos or a rigid (male) system of rules, regulations, etc.
The “dominance” of Islam is not about the balance of reason and emotion. In fact, Islam repels when one thinks of the yin-yang. (Don’t like that “judgement”? Tough.) Islam is ugly and cowardly in its permissions to deception (look at the GZ Imom, his third wife Daisy Con-cavone, or the liar “developer”) who are reflective of imbalance in the yin-yang. They are a perversion of the yin-yang.
There is no balance of reason and emotion in Islam as it currently exists. It is about al-taqiyya. There can be no reason with liars. Recognizing that truth about Islam balances the yin-yang.

Arrogance of person usually comes from thinking that one has already won. Those behind the mosque have that arrogance, they will bristle when asked hard questions, as everything goes according to plan. They already envision the mosque being built, the opening ceremony attended by the mayor of New York, the president of the U.S and high ranking muslim diplomats from around the world. Kaiffar’s, non-believers are the little people in muslim’s eyes, and they can’t do anything to stop the building of any mosque in the western world. Or can they?

There is one good thing coming from this dreadful Cordoba mosque-complex planned for Ground Zero by “radical” Islam: it has reawakened millions of Americans to the threat posed by ‘radical’ Islamic enemy, fortunately without another lethal attack. It also has put the lie to the widespread myth of “moderate” Islam.

There is a valid comparison. The Carmelite Convent would have been legal, and it was true that many Christians were killed at Auschwitz, but the truth is that it is still hallowed Jewish ground after all. Pope John Paul saw the truth re that.
The GZ imom, his third wife Daisy-con-cavone, and the “tough liar love” developer El-Sham, are immune to anything but dominance. Al-taquilla must rule with them.
What I find particularly repulsive about the GZ imom, the Daisy Khan-con-cavone, and the developer, is their cowardly embrace of deception. It is the most repulsive aspect of Islam (particularly the cancellation of the earlier suras by the later violent suras). To watch such Muslims fart platitudes re “Islam is a religion of peace” or to loathsomely (and cowardly) lie that “Islam forbids the killing of the innocent” and to know that they know that non-Muslims are not “innocent” as per Islam, is an offense to reason.

Thank you for that presentation slide show. Amazing. It makes me so angry and puts things into perspective. It makes me scream “NO, NOT THERE!”. It can’t be built there and I don’t believe it will be.
Their intentions are not good. If they were, as others have said, they would retreat and build elsewhere. But what do they do instead? They leave the country for a while. They don’t give interviews. They claim they are the victims!! Look at that slide show again and tell me who the victims are!!
To the 9/11 families who will be there on Saturday – Thank you! You being there is invaluable. You will be representing the real victims and my family will be there with you.
What have we become in this country? Too afraid to stand up for the American way of life? Liberty, freedom? We’ve been so cowered by “PC” that we let an evil man in uniform kill 13 heroes. He gave a presentation also but everyone was too afraid to speak up. Times are changing though. People are going to speak up on 9/11/10!

The NY Times today has given over part of its op-ed area to an essay by Imam Rauf, the man behind the Ground Zero mosque.
He says one thing which, as a specialist in the Hebrew language, I feel competent to comment on.
“The very word “islam” comes from a word cognate to shalom, which means peace in Hebrew. The Koran declares in its 36th chapter, regarded by the Prophet Muhammad as the heart of the Koran, in a verse deemed the heart of this chapter, “Peace is a word spoken from a merciful Lord.”
Islam does not come from the word for peace.
Islam is an Arabic word. It comes from the Arabic root for submission. A Muslim is one who submits.
Here is what the Wikipedia Islamic/ Arabic dictionary writes:
“The Arabic root word for Islam means submission, obedience…”
To say that it comes from the Hebrew word shalom ( which in Arabic is salaam) is a blatant lie.
This appears to be part of a campaign on the supporters of the mosque to pretend that they are just anothr ecumenical, kumbaya group.
Nothing could be further from the turth.
If they truly cared about anyone else’s feelings they would put their 13 story monument to Islamic Jihad elsewhere.
We are about to celebrate the Jewish New Year, starting Wednesday night.
This is not the time for anyone professing peace to disseminate lies implicating Hebrew words with Islam, an ideology which regards Jews, according to Muhammad, as apes and Christians as worse.

As predicted Iman Rauf said this evening that he will go ahead with his Mega Mosque Project near ground zero. This response from Rauf was clearly inevitable from the start. Iman Rauf could care less what the people of New York or the rest of the country think. His allegiance is to Allah and the Muslim world and he stands to become a hero in the Middle east. There is no tolerance in Islam for the kafir,the infidel, and in the end there will be no use or tolerance for the useful idiots known as the dhimmis of the world who are enablers of the determinations of Islam.
What and how history will look back 20 or 30 years from now when Islam has gotten a much stronger foothold in America and shows its full ugly face of intolerance to Americans. And our new young generation will ask the question, why didn’t our fathers and mothers stand up against this totalitarian ideology? I thought our President is suppose to defend freedom and liberty. But through our ignorance and a failure to recognize that Islam and sharia is our consummate enemy of everything we stand for and everything Americans have died for.
This may be our legacy if we cannot shake out the ignorant appeasers of Islam who appear literally blind to the horrid travesty’s committed by the teachings in this archaic and hateful religion.
Even now there are many at work trying to marginalize those of us who understand what Islam is all about. The horror that is Islam and its 164 jihadist tenants will no doubt be visited upon us again and again and our foolish leaders will still allow themselve to be mislead by the charming practitioners of taquiy and kitman such as Iman Rauf. There will be more Major Nidal Hasans,more Time Square bombers,and the dhimmis will still ask the outrageously dumb questions again and again—why? And yet it is also so plainly spelled out in the Qu’ran. They will settle for answers about Islam from organizations like CAIR as a Chicago attorney did on Hannity last week after he asked her where she came up with her opinion on Islam.
Hey if a President and a secretary of state can go around proclaiming Islam to be a “religion of peace” because some iman said so, then we are in serious trouble.

The presentation is haunting.
Some of us have “forgotten”, meaning we don’t “feel” what 9/11 means anymore. Some of us have bought the one-way “tolerance” card because we’re afraid of being called a name. Some of us have forgotten who the enemy is, the enemy who has relentlessly attacked us since that day. Some of us have forgotten common sense and traded it in for being politically correct. Some of us have forgotten how brave we are.

I usually bring up a set of 15 or more pages that are my “news run”. Then I read it tab by tab. The music is much more effective and affective when I get to it and start it playing. It’s pointless when I have another page coming up as the last tab in the set, the one that becomes active.

Then why are we letting them settle in our country? This is madness! There is no reliable way to distinguish a “moderate” Muslim from a violent Muslim. They all learn from the same book. The presence of “moderate” Muslims provides cover and sanctuary for the violent ones. Muslim immigration must be stopped. To all you 911 truthers out there, I have something to say. Even if the US was behind 911 what about the other 15,000 + terrorist attacks around the world. I am asking you to consider these facts. Also, if you are in doubt – please watch the Beslan tribute video which shows what happened in Russia not the USA – no George Bush there. We have an enemy that hates us and wants to destroy us – they say they are a religion, but those that control the religion are using the adherants to believe and do very nasty things – they threaten thier own members so they do not speak out against them – what you are looking at is the very face of evil. That is a very good question.
I think some Muslims are beginning to realize (while most are in denial) that many non-Muslims now know much more about their belief system than non-Muslims would care to know.
The permissions to deception in Islam are particularly repulsive. How can they build trust with non-Muslims by having to cover-up the truth (for example: that the earlier (chronological)”peaceful” suras are canceled by the later (chronological) violent suras. It is offensive to have some a Muslim fart platitudes about “peace” and “Islam forbids killing the innocent” and know that non-Muslims are not “innocent” as per Islam.
The crisis of Islam will be because of reason, not hate. (One has to feel sorry for people who must lie all the time. It’s sad.)
I am not a particularly religious man, but Jesus condemned all hypocrisy, said that “all deceit is from the evil one.” Contrast that with this demented nonsense “War is deceit” and al-taqiyya.
I was trained to speak directly, not mince my words, and be honest. (I lie sometimes, I’m human, but I feel I’ve not lived-up to my best self when I do that.) I can’t imagine a mind that has been formed by Islam, with its permissions to decieve non-Muslims. It’s loathsome in that regard.

Dear President Obama,
Part of my life I spent as a photographer. One of the subjects I photographed was the World Trade Center. I loved that place. Every chance I got I wanted to get up to the top of the world and shoot photos and cavort with my friends. I can’t describe what it is, was, like to view the world from that high up, feel the wind, the crisp air, peer into an azure blue and endless sky, and have so much of the this great nation in ones view. I was so nuts about the place I photographed the lobby. Who takes pictures of a lobby? With no one in it? I do. What caught my eye was the flags of all the countries along the walls, and those massive arcing windows just below them. I did it all in black and white, and when I look at those photos now I see a ghost of myself, and this nation. I see what this nation once was, and will be again. Bigger and better than before. As Americans we have earned the right to dream bigger, and build better, than any nation on the planet, it never ceases to amaze me what a free people can accomplish on a voluntary basis. We did not build one of the tallest buildings – we built two of ‘em!
Shortly we will honor those souls who were lost on September 11, 2001. We do this to commemorate the countryman and women we lost, and to thank those who gave their last breath, and their lives, to save people they have never met. Some succeeded, others died as heros to forever rest on Gods’ shoulders; for who would God want more to keep him company for eternity then a few NYPD firefighters and cops! There’s no more pleasant a sound then to listen to a cop and a firefighter yak about absolutely nothing. On that day, Islamic Militants boarded planes, and made a conscious and calculated decision to kill my fellow Americans, and the day after, America, dusted herself off, and went to work facing an enemy that we had pointed lawyers and judges at, and not bullets and bombs, that failure and miscalculation caused that day, President Clinton cashing the peace dividend on the backs of our national defense, and our intelligence efforts caused that day, failing to pull the trigger on Osama caused that day, weakness in the face of evil caused that day . . . but on September 12, 2001 we didn’t care the cause, we all wanted to go to war to keep that day from happening again. Then, President Bush climbed onto hollowed ground and validated our desire and need to kick some tail. When a foreign enemy hits us, we hit ‘em back and when they fall we get the next guy, and the next guy, until the rest of ‘em decide to quit. We know that day has arrived when the next guy decides to pick a plow share, and not a suicide belt – that day, unfortunately, is not today.
At some point something went awry. I’m betting that the notion of proportional response crawled into our leaders minds, and the geopolitical ramifications of this or that counter-attack on what ever country that gave rise to this brand of evil, and then we committed the greatest sin of listening to those voices even giving them merit. Some of the purveyors of those voices are now leading this nation, in fighting for the enemy politically, they won, and now they are giving those same men and women fighting for this nation their orders – ponder that for a moment. That occurred because the purveyors of those voices had a more than willing far left wing media to amplify them, and tell us that our rage was nothing more than “islamophobia.” Sound familiar? As I write these words islamic militants are planning their next attack, while our President blindly seeks peace with those same people. Do you trust a person who says one thing to one person, and something else to another? Why should we as a nation do that?
On November 2, 2010 we will be asked to render a judgment, and select new leaders who are willing to make tough economic calls based on common sense that we all know in our hearts to be true, and make difficult choices, rapidly, under immense political and emotional strain. While simultaneously resisting the strong desire to prosecute President Obama and his administration for their failures – I think we have had enough of that. Our failed spend first borrow more and open hand foreign policy is a sign of weakness, and stupidity, that our enemies are relying on, and our friends now use as a basis for their mistrust – I don’t blame them. If a murderer came into my home and I gave them access to my bedroom and my children, I have only myself to blame for not being prepared to meet that challenge. Well, ladies and gentleman, we have challenges ahead, we need politicians who will meet them, head on, with enough force to not only check, and reverse the spread of socialism, if not communism, but to have the stomach to fight evil without remorse so the next guy decides that it is not worth the trouble.
You numb nuts in Washington DC may own the clocks, but we’ve got the time, and on November 2, 2010 – times up baby.

Lets hope that the growing awareness on islam and especially radical islam will lead to a more critical stance not only in the media and the press, but also in the political elites around te world. Everybody can have beliefs and follow a religion, but the buck stops when basic freedoms are threatend. Faith is a private thing and should stay that way.

cjg, I don’t think the koran should be burnt. We can’t keep our moral high ground by stooping to their level.
Not that I’m defending them. The koran, hadith etc. is filled with hate speech and Apartheid. Hate speech is unconstitutional and should be banned. I cannot see why in Heaven’s name anyone would defend such an ideology.
What makes me mad is that the media doesn’t report on the Greek Orthodox Church which those copy-cat kamikaze genocidal maniacs destroyed when they hijacked those planes and killed 3,000 American Martyrs…

The South African media (SABC controlled by the ANC) broadcasts only “burn the koran” and “islam is of the devil” snippets, but not one single word about the Ground Zero Monster Mosque.
But then again, our president Zuma was part of a corruption scandal involving his ‘financial advisor’, Schabir Shaik. Shaik’s brother Mo was in trouble for various things, among others plagiarism at university.
So I guess it’s no surprise.

Apparently it’s against islam to translate the koran from Arabic into another language… I propose we all start learning Arab, so we can read and understand every single word they have to say behind our backs.
